NWN2 XML & GUI Coding For Beginners

Have you ever wanted to design and write code for your own NWN2 GUI? Use this tutorial as a guide to help you make your own GUIs and interfaces.

LATEST: Uploaded another module with slightly larger area to prevent random crashing on load. Also removed a second door.

v1.01 - Typo fixes.

MODULE DETAILS:

The demo module allows the player to see four different GUIs in action that come with the tutorial.

MANUAL DETAILS:

The manual tries to break down the individual processes that take place when a GUI is used and how to create your own from that knowledge.

- Object Tags and their Attributes.
- Events and Functions.
- Code Format.

Fantastic. I started with no knowledge of xml, and now I feel I understand the basics. The only reason it's not a 10 is I feel it could've used more pictures, but it's not like the amount it currently has is a hindrance in any way.

Don't have NWN2 yet (it's coming in the mail) and I thought I'd read up on how some things work and XML sounded like a good place to start since it is used in other things.

I have to say that the tutorial was amazing. The use of colored text, types of text, colored boxes, and pointing out common mistakes makes this tutorial incredibly helpful. I recommend it to anyone wanting to learn XML.
