This is a GUI for use with Craftable Natural Resources (CNR)
Background CNR is a scripted crafting system, originally for NWN 1. Oblach was updating CNR for NWN2 here
I recieved a request to build a UI for the CNR. I downloaded Oblach's test module (vers 1.00 7/11/2007) and built a GUI for the PC interaction with the devices. I also adjusted the conversations to NWN1 style so they were easier to use for crafting.
Players This is not for use with the Official Campaign. It is a resource for PW and module builders.
Builders This is for module builders who have added CNR to their NWN2 module, but would like to have GUI rather than conversation driven crafting. I will not be fixing/updating the CNR code itself as I haven't used CNR in a module, but will support the GUI code.
To Run the Test Module
* Unzip the download.
* Copy "cnr_gui.mod" to your module directory.
* Copy the folder "Charlie - cnr_ui" to "My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\ui\custom" (or your override folder).
* Start cnr_gui as a new game.
Importing the GUI To add the GUI into an existing module that uses CNR you will need to create an erf from the module of the following scripts:
Note: The scripts : "cnr_device_ou", "cnr_forge_ou" and "cnr_tinker_ou" will overwrite existing CNR scripts. These scripts originally fired the crafting conversation, they now fire the GUI.
I have not had much time for NwN2 lately and I am starting uni studies this year. At this point I don't think I will be doing any further updates to my NwN2 Vault submissions. Thank you all for the suggestions and support you have given.
After the latest update to 1.13 and UI 1.42 the fonts in my CNR GUI are all out of wack. Was there some kind of default font change in either the 1.13 patch of Charlie's UI that would effect the CNR GUI?

I'm in the process of creating a single player module that will include cnr. I've been working on making icons for the objects that don't have them yet, should I bother with that or is it already being worked on (or finished) by qrizz or newpoint?

We are using a modified CNR with a modified version of Charlie's CNR GUI on The Return of Middle Earth (server.rome-nwn2.com). The trade skill journal and recipe books still use the old menu style but I plan on converting them to Charlie's GUI when I have the time. Also there is still one little bug caused by walking away from the crafting device without properly closing it that I haven't fixed yet.
Come buy and try it out if you like.
