I always thought those chat windows are much too big (using their smallest natural size).
Especially if you play a multiplayer game.
So I've used the original files and changed them. Now you can change the size as you want it.
I've also deleted those buttons which needed a lot of space.
At last I've minimized the space under the scrollbars. You now can use the whole window for text and don't have to make it bigger to read more than two lines.

Just put the files into "...\My Documents \Neverwinter Nights 2\ ui\ default" and start the game.
