Not happy with the XP rate awarded by your current module? Perhaps you want to up the challenge by lowering your XP? Or perhaps you want to wipe the floor with a high-leveled solo character?
Now, all of these things (and what is, essentially, "cheating") are possible, with The Fred's In-Game XP Slider.
Personally, I think this makes it too tempting for people to give themselves more XP than they deserve, but there are instances where it's a nice feature to have, and anyway it was a request from Nicethugbert.
The XP Slider appears on the Game Options page (see screenshot) so if you have anything else which affects this screen, it won't work. If this is an issue for anyone, a non-options version can be made easily.
Note that this only affects kill XP, not XP rewards which have been set by the module creator. Equally, modules which use custom XP systems that bypass the standard one will likely also be unaffected. This is the equivalent of changing the slider in the Toolset.

Yeah there's not much you can do for community mods with custom mod load scripts, but I'm guessing most people use this for the official campaigns anyway and community mods are usually not broken up into a ton of mods like the OC. It's a very small and easy change to make, I just added a global int to gui_xpslider that stores you've modified the XP scale, and another into gui_xpslider_accept that stores the XP scale value. Then you just have the k_mod_load script check if the player has modified the XP and if so, sets it to whatever he assigned it to previously.
Ah, of course, I forgot that NWN2 campaigns are broken into many modules. I guess an OnLoad override could work, but for custom modules, they may all have different OnLoad scripts. _________________________ In production: The Dragon Dynasty All my other stuff

Nifty tool, one issue though: You have to redo the settings whenever you transition into a new module (of which there are like 8000 in the OC for example). I think a modified module load script that does that automatically would be a great addition for this.

Oh, I should mention that the screenshot is of an older version, there are now also two extra buttons to change the value by 10, and I moved the text down a bit (it looks a bit out-of-line with the buttons in that image). I might still up a better image if I get chance. _________________________ In production: The Dragon Dynasty All my other stuff
