Don't want players being able to highlight all usable objects and creatures with a single keystroke? Do you want a more hardcore "searching" element to your mods, like the original Baldur's Gate? Worry no more! Simply put the edited keymap.2da in your override folder or hakpak, and the Inspection/Highlight ability is gone for good.
You're right, very interesting. I think it may have something to do with the fact that the new keymap.2da is loaded AFTER the game itself loads- I checked the list of hotkey functions in the game, and indeed "inspection" was gone, but the z key still worked. I'll see what kind of scripting or XML function I can come up with for a fix- thanks for the heads up!
Are you sure this work on haks, or only in override mode? I have been testing in my server and does not seem to work (but maybe I'm doing wrong something :P) If it works only in override mode, it can be easyly exploited, I think...

Wow man what a legend you are. I had a conversation with a mate of mine yesterday about the campaign I am building, and said and I quote - "I wish there was some way I could disable the z key so players had to actually look around the areas i've made...instead of running straight through them holding down the z key...."
Low and behold!! Must have read my mind.
