5-row hotbar with smaller buttons.
I advise all spellcasters who use this mod to also get my Mini-spellbook mod.
Update Nov. 10 2006: Forgot to include the proper background image for the hig-res version. Please redownload it if you already have it.
Things to note:
Shortcut keys cannot be used on any row except the first. Thats just the way they designed the hotbar system, unfortunately.

to install:
unzip to: put it in "My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\ui\default"
This should create a hotbar.xml file and an "images" folder. Within the "images" folder should be a folder called "generic". Within the "generic" folder should be "hotbar_bg4.tga".

I've always grouped items on my hotbars and this is great for me - it means I can group "vertically", ie, my bard has his songs listed in the 5 "slot 1"s, weapons/instruments in another set, healing in another. Nice :)
Would it be possible to do a 12x5 hotbar (rather than 5x12) with the numbering vertically? I just think it could be quite nice to dock the hotbar above my modes bar, preferably whilst still able to use the number keys to access my 'first choice' items. _________________________ Author:

Anybody who can create new style UI is good in my books. :) And I would want to encourage as many possible UI variants as possible, so I hope my vote of ten encourages you to make some great mods in the future.
I see you have doen some others and intend to DL those as well.

i try to change the row number from 5 to 3 oder 4
by myself. it works, but now i habe many blank space under the 3 rows. How can i change the soze of the complete quickbar window. _________________________

Great! But in your leftside mod screenshot, the toolbar is not smaller... any chance you can upload that unresized 5-line toolbar as well? I run the game in 1600x1200 so I have plenty of space.
