Originality (10): I haven't seen another UI that tries to minimise the possible space taken by the hotbar except for the advanced screen, but that only makes the hotbar smaller overall, rather than cutting the borders.

Usefulness (9): I play in 800x600 mode so this benefits me and other users of this the most. Larger screen modes probably won't need this. But this really makes a big difference for low resolution users. :D
