I wanted to post a message regarding my vfxs here. Since this is my most popular file on the vault, figured it be the best place to advertise. I've been making leaps and bounds with the visual effects editor. I've made many effects ranging from weather events, like tornados, lightning, rain, snow, etc.. environmental effects like waterfalls, lava bursts/flows, to different alter glows. I'd like to put them all into a zip and post it here. But before I do that, I'd like to find out what the community needs the most. In terms of visual effects. So those who have voted here, and those who have glimpsed at this page. Please post a comment in what you would like to see in this future "Mass Effects Zip". Thanks for all your support people. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.
SlayerUnas, hmm more snow?... Let me see what I can come up with. For a quick fix to that issue, just place more then 1 vfx to the area. In regards to your texture, you should take a look at Kraav's files. He's got some nice snow textures. He even has a read me file with his zip that explains how to get them working. I'd recommend it. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.

works great so far. i wish there was a little more snow actually. maybe one that has like, a blizzard or something. That option would be great :) now all i need is a WORKING snow texture terrain and i'm set :)

the snow is very well done it has a
natural ruff look to it. could you do
the snow and make it semi-transparent?
or just in patches semi-transparent.
FERRET_LOVER, frozen pond ice... hmm.. thats an interesting thought. I suppose it's possible. You could use the Ice placeable and just place them over your waterbeds instead of painting water. Just a thought though. Not sure what I can do in the editor for that though. Hmm _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.
I just updated the snow,.. again.. lol I just changed the Fallingsnow_ror1.pfx I found a better graphic file that makes the snow look better. Nothing else has changed all you need to do is replace/overwrite the Fallingsnow_ror1.pfx, with the new one. Enjoy. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.
Just a side note, the screenshot of the rain doesn't really do the vfx justice. It looks better in action. You'll see. =) _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.
It still does exist its probably just been placed somewhere else. Try looking in C:\Program Files\Atari\Neverwinter Nights 2\Data If its not there let me know, I'll help ya find it. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.

Only problem I am having is the file that the readme suggests does not exist (nwn_vfx) does nt exist in the post release. Where should I put them now? Other then that, looks awesome!

Looking much better! Great job! _________________________ Come with me...
Well theres the update. I hope it is of satisfactory. But being the perfectionist I am, I will be continuing to work on it. Enjoy all. Remember to post your comments. Give me inspiration! _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.
Yeah, I've noticed that from the get go. Thats why I've blended the mist so much to where it was invisible, but still seen enough to know what it was. I plan to upgrade this snow again, hopefully to make it more of a horizonal flow then a verticle. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.

I think I'd vote 10 if the Snowmist.pfx wasn't in there. I'm not voting for now, just so I can give you feedback first. :)
The snow flakes look amazing! The mist though, when it hits the ground plane clips with it creating a straight edge that I find looks quite bad. I know that's not your fault, as it's just a limitation of the system, but I thought I'd let you know what I was experiencing with it. _________________________ Come with me...
I've finally updated the snow fall. I hope you all enjoy it. Fixed the height issue, and added gust like wind. Looks AWESOME now, and totally realistic! _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.
Awesome, I'm so glad people are finding my snowfall effect useful. I plan to update the effect as well, adding misty wind, and patches of wind gusts. Still tweaking it though.. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.
Wow, thank you for the vote! Yea, The graphic came out real nice. I wonder how the OC is gonna handle the weather? Hmm, Maybe I should script a weather system. Never thought about it before, since the first nwn had a default. I've seen weather script functions, but nothing in the area properties. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.
