Creatures are being converted from here at the above link on a needs basis. Reasonable requests will naturally be considered first :)
***********************
They lurk in the shadows.
They linger in your dreams.
They strike in the darkness.
They are the foul and horrible creatures that dwell in Ravenloft, the Demiplane of Dread, and they are waiting for you. The sinister beings within this compilation are all faithful adaptations from the classic Ravenloft Monstrous Compendiums for the forum of Neverwinter Nights.
The RLCore Denizens of Darkness includes:
- Nearly 100 new or re-made creatures from the Ravenloft setting, including adaptations of the best from the NWVault, revamped bioware classics, and many brand new horrors from the RLCore group
- A full PC lycanthropy system when using the RLCore werebeasts, as well as a few other curse type creatures (such as the possessive Odem). A modified polymorph.2da file included in the main hak is used to sweeten this system up, but is optional for those who want to go hakless. This also makes use of modified versions of 3 default bioware scripts (nw_s0_heal, nw_s0_confuse and nw_s0_remeffect)
- a small hak that contains many dynamic parts (some familiar, and some brand new)
- Items / stories that provide adventure hooks for module builders and DMs, or at the very least, flavour for any Ravenloft campaign in NWNs
- As examples of how these creatures can be used as templates from which to quickly generate new NPCs, there is also included a small assortment of classic Ravenloft villains, complete with backgrounds and adventure ideas.
- A simple step by step how to guide for adding new lycanthropes to your game (for example, if you use the magnificent CEPv2 and wish to create a PC curse system for any of the lycanthropes contained within that hak)
- A short hak and slash style demo mod exhibiting a few of the new critters.
We sincerely hope they scare the pants out of you!
NPC's: Soth (Lord of Sithicus), Adam (Lord of Larmordia), Jezra Wagner (The Ice Queen of Mt Baratok), Jacqueline Renier (Lord of Richemulot), Anton Misroi (Lord of Souragne)
UPDATE 1A: Golem (Snow), Bat (Sentinel), Meazel, Moorman, Ravenloft Viruses (2 Types: Combustion & Shadow).
Also a new short demo module displaying 2 of the newbies, and a full credit listing (the last one was confusing)

UPDATE: 16 October 2008
Patch 1.69 and CEP2.1 compatibility
UPDATE: 12 November, 2007
rldynamicCEP2.
The CEP2 compatible hak (only). You will need to download the erf as well and spend the 3 seconds it takes to change the heads to the new ones if you use this hak. The creature blueprints on my side of things have undergone massive changes, and I am not ready to release them.
PLEASE NOTE though, that the CEP2 compaticble hak DOES NOT require the CEP2! It simply does not overwrite anything in the CEP2. Given that this version contains new parts (see the new images right for a few examples), it is the version I recommend using.

UPDATE: 6 December, 2007
RLC_CREATURES.
An entirely new hak in responce to Kraven's cool idea to meld the Phex zombies and the RLC stuff. Since it involved an appearance.2da file, I thought I would throw the entire hak I had up here.
UPDATE: 16 October 2008
Patch 1.69 and CEP2.1 compatibility
This is a complation of stuff from the NWN community as well as well as a few new bits. The various authors include Ravenloft Prisoners of the Mists, WAKE, diademus, LordOfWorms, Adinz, six thrice, Quantiko, CRAP kobold reskins, Emerald Forsythe & NewByPower. And also a few by RLCore! I am sorry, but for the life of me I cannot find who did the very cool werebears!)
Overrides - New werewolf, start of new wererat, trolls, skeletons, zombies, goblins, Resident Evil Zombies and ghouls.
These are all hak only, with no creature blueprints.
Cheers!

For more information (including the credits), check out the documentation contained in the download. Alternatively, check out our website:
This file contains the creature blueprints: a short hak and slash demo module, an import erf, a guide to adding new lycanthropes, and a few other files worth a look. I recommend downloading the rldynamicCEP file and updating the parts of the blueprints in this file to use that hak, but it is not neccessary.

UPDATE: 16 October, 2008 Update for Patch 1.69 and CEP2.1 compatibility
UPDATE: 6 December, 2007 An entirely new hak in responce to Kraven's cool idea to meld the Phex zombies and the RLC stuff. Since it involved an appearance.2da file, I thought I would throw the entire hak I had up here. This is a complation of stuff from the NWN community as well as well as a few new bits. See details in the main section above for what is currently included. It does however require CEP2, but does not require any of the other files on this page.
All new Ravenloft creatures not yet seen in NWN's, such as the Elven Vampire and the Elementalist Lich.
Existing NWN creatures, such as the Zombie Lord, remade entirely. Others (such as the Crimson Death and Akikage) created using only bioware scripts and vfx (no hak required).
A new look to many NWVault classics, including Dr Nicks "Wailing Banshee", Ghool's "Crypt Thing", and Raven's "Banedead".
Use the RLCore creatures as templates to create infamous NPC's from the Ravenloft setting.
Combine the RLDynamic hak with the CEP (or other clothing hak) to give your bad guys an all new appearance, like the deranged "Jolly Roger"
UPDATE 1a includes 6 new critters, such as the magically tattooed moormen, and a Ravenloft virus system.
CEP2 UPDATE: Make use of the CEP2 brownie race and RLCore dynamic parts to give a new look to your Imps and similar creatures.
CEP2 UPDATE: Use the CEP2 and new dynamic parts to create new looks for the baddies. like th Goblyns of Forlorn.
And another pic of the Goblyn...simply because they are the main bad guys in the my favourite Ravenloft domain :)
Absolute gold. When I retire the PW I run im going to run this stuff for private table top and i'm looking forward to it.

Dear NoOneReally,( I still hate calling you that.)
Thank you for this material from the bottom of my heart. I can't begin to tell you the hours of fun I had with this content, for there is none like it, anywhere on the vault. If anyone comes across this, it is must for downloading. It does not matter if you are a fan of Ravenloft (Though I find it hard to think, someone out there does not like it.) This is fantastic horror content for any mod.
Again......thanks for this. It has been a horrofic delight. :)
PS. One can dream you will come out with more custom content, can't they? _________________________ Farewell and a long farewell it shall be. Some of us are not destined to meet again.
Ken, your use of these in so many of your mods is wonderful - thanks :) It more or less has single handedly made my mind up as to if I should keep these available as archives (so it shall be!), or overwrite them when the new content is ready (not anymore...).
While I am working developing for my own group, as long as one or two people out there find them useful, it is worth releasing :)
Cheers! _________________________ *************************************************

RLCORE GROUP...Fantastic work. I just have a quick question. You mention there is a, Lord Soth in the pack (Big fan!)...however after I downloaded all the files and set them up....no Lord Soth. I read that scripts were very important in bringing certain characters to life. If this is so...how do I go about activating them? Please help. Tas really wants to meet Lord Soth....again. _________________________ Farewell and a long farewell it shall be. Some of us are not destined to meet again.
Thanks for that guys ;)
I have had a few requests to update this for compitibility to the latest patch and the CEP. The latest RLC_CREATURES file I am using is now up. I hope it was whats yas wanted ;) _________________________ *************************************************
KO, sorry about the very late reply. Should you read this, I can say that no work on the female dynamic zombies is likely in the near future. New content is restricted for me now for stuff used in my mods (currently set in Hazlan and Forlorn....and evolving based on my players direction :). I would love to see any work you have done though if you choose to make it public.
My RL mods will become public eventually, as will all the revisions of these haks here. I am also documenting the systems in place in case anyone else wants to build with them (New spells and spell component systems, new feats language systems, Hunger/Thirst/Fatigue, Dark Power/Horror/Madness checks plus many many other minor chnages to the in place CRAP and ORS systems I originally used as a base).

As I stated before on Phex's page, I've meddled with the hak a bit and got dynamic female human zombies. (Just 001 model parts so far for testing.) If somebody is already working on this, let me know and I'll just be patient. ;) _________________________ Cheers,

Oh very cool mate, ty so much, gonna check them out right away :)
I have uploaded the RLC_CREATURES hak with the Phex zombie adaption to the vault, but it is still pending approval apparently. I will check back in a few days and chase up the problem if it still has not appeared on this page. _________________________ *************************************************

Hey there, I allready rated, so i won't change my vote but i have a suggestion to make this pack even better. I like everything about this pack except the movement of the zombies. Now there happens to be a zombiepack called phex zombies, it seems to be abanoned, but it has zombie animations and these are dynamic too.If you just could combine these pack then it would be the best zombie pack available. don't know if this possible though but it can't hurt to ask. :)
Heya Graymaster, and thanks for the vote. Not sure why it would be not much use to you as is though - I think the conflicts with the CEP2 came to a grand total of 2 or 3 heads, of which there were halfling from memory.
Anyway, I will see if I can get a basic hak cleaned up in the next week or so that cane be used with the erf/blueprints already available in the downloads above. Some screenies from the mods as well to demonstrate what you can do with the rl_dynamic hak and things like the CEP2, Feanor's weapons etc.
Thats about all right now as the creatures have undergone massive changes on my end, and I am not ready to release another lot of blueprints - a creative builder will just have to spend the 3 seconds it takes to change any 'wrong' heads/parts in the blueprints of the creatures above to those of the new totally CEP2 compatible hak ;)
