You bleed to negative 10, and they you die with the choice of waiting or releasing. If you release you return to where your soul is bound, and you lose a small exp/gold amount. Every player is equipped from beginning with one raise dead token that works once per day.

Description
New players arrive in the middle of the bloody beginning of the sixth age of the World of Amon. Players will find themselves awoken from suspension capsules by a benevolent dragon Solomak, and his followers. Leaders of Heija, and of an exiled western coven plead with Solomak to open the capsules that he had protected for hundreds of years. Despite the great risk to his followers, and those they would attempt to awaken; Solomak agreed to awaken the sleepers, but demanded they retain free will. In return the leaders of Heija agreed they would take in the sleepers, and grant them citizenship. The wind blows cold over the Heijan docks as the newborn disembark Solomak's silver ship. The World of Amon is simply amazing. I do not want to spoil it for anyone, so I will just leave with a very high recommendation to try and play here on Amon.

I've been playing here off and on for a couple months or so, and there is no doubt I have a LOT more to discover and try out, so I may very well give a higher rating later on, but I am not quite able to give a full 10 rating due to just one little gripe, petty though it may well be deemed, and that is this-- monsters respawn WAY too fast! I'll just get done killing off not just kobolds/zombies in an area, but the main "boss" monster, and there he/she is no less than 5 real time minutes later, if not earlier! Sure, kobolds and such are known to be fecund and in great numbers, so that could POSSIBLY be explained away, but the "boss" too?? Nah, he should take a real time 30-60 minutes at LEAST. Also, I asked a player with a 40th level character about crafting, and I was told it was nothing much. That was disappointing. But hey, I give this site a 9 because well, for one, it is HUGE. When I say huge I mean like travelling our real planet Earth type HUGE. I am a total newbie here, checking out the "map room" in Heija, and I'm thinking "Holy crap, I'll be eligible for retirement before I'll have a character who has done everything one can do here!". Kudos to Amon devs/DMs for making a world that makes having purchased the NWN games the darn cheapest form of entertainment I've ever known! I could make 20 characters and have each one go to a different area, and they would each experience completely different things! Great work folks!

This is without a doubt the best online world that I have ever played. There are tons of quests and this world is even great to solo around in. By the time you have reached a higher level, you will have plenty of friends to help you complete the advanced quests. I have been a DM there for over five years.

I've played this world for nearly 5 years now, and have loved every minute of it! I've tried other worlds, but none compair to the work Ren and his team have put into it. 10s all the way!

So many good things to mention about Amon: tons of complex multi-layered and intertwining quests, deadly, deadly beasts, fantastic, well-designed areas that don't railroad you to the boss but give you options to get lost and die - a lot. Great to play solo or with friends. And the folks there are the nicest around in any pw I've played.
Like many others on the server, I've explored other pws but I always return to Amon. It is that much fun.
Come by and explore. You'll be glad you did.

Amon rocks. Ren has put togeather an amazing playing experience packed full of many questing oppertunities which he constantly elaborates on. Ren is always adding new areas and quest lines. The quests are both interesting and worth doing as some supply you with the needed tools to move on in the world. Ren has selected a very good team of DMs who often run events of all sizes. DM events have a story line and are not all hack and slash. Some are hack and slash and some are pvp. Overall Amon has a great variety and appeals to all player types, has a great DM team and an exceptional developer who remains actively involved in the continuing evolution of Amon.

Highly inspiring world that grabbed me from the get-go. Wonderful, well thought out questlines that have evolved in many cases to work around and with the many player houses and clans that have sprung forth from the gamers. I have even seen that interactions between houses, and even between individual player-characters, has led to new twists in the ongoing plot. Love it. Well done, Ren, and a HUGE thank you for all your efforts.

A great place. I don't play games that often but had to come here to see what was occupying so much of my husband's time. Now I understand. There is so much here we will never be done.

Huge world with epic storyline and plenty of quests to keep you busy.
Friendly people to adventure with, at least for those playing in the U.S. timezones.
There are scheduled DM Events few times a week and unscheduled ones pop up every now and then.
