COLOSSAL ARENA TILESET Version: 0.7 (Beta)
Beta release: 31st Jan '08
Full release: Coming soon!
Grand arches adorn the walls, imposing statues stare down, and the roar of the crowds fills your ears. Then like a dying candle, all sound dies down as the Emperor waves his hand, whereupon a magically amplified voice cuts cleanly through the excited silence:
"And in the red corner..."
Ever wanted a giant arena complex for your evil emporer to lord it over a gladiatorial fight? Or a huge and magnificent arched hall in your ruler's palace? Then look no further than the Colossal Arena. Complete with cells below foot, ringside boxes for spectators, and lots of fancy stonework.
Most of the textures are modified versions of CODI's Sigil textures, with a couple of others thrown in as well.
Important! This is a beta release, and thus is not 100% perfect as yet. There will be quite a few more tiles in the final version, as well as some doors. It is, however, safe to build with and shall remain so.
Features:
- Arena, Floor and Wall terrains
- Tilegroups including statues, gates, balconies
- All geometry is new and unique to the tileset
Comments, bugs, suggestions very welcome as always. I'd prefer if folks should want to vote, they wait until the final release (it won't be long) but it's up to you I suppose.
SPECTRAL WOOD MINI-TILESET Version: 1.0
Beta release: N/A
Full release: 8th Feb '08
A tiny tileset consisting of 3 forest tiles and a 'Gateway' trilith feature. I use this for a very specific area in my upcoming persistant world, Fall of Erremont. Maybe I'll add more stuff to this set at a later date.
Uploaded it simply because I think it can make some very beautiful areas. Most of the credit goes to lordofworms for the great tree models.
Note: USE BLACK FOG!
RURAL INTERIOR TILESET Version: 1.0
Beta release: N/A
Full release: 22nd Mar '08
As you step through the tavern door, the muffled cacophony audible from outside quickly fades away. Elder and fiery youth alike, they eye you suspiciously only to return to their drinks as you walk slowly toward the innkeep. Who knows what hidden intriegue lies beneath the icy glares of this seemingly quiet town...
Looking for an alternative style for your rural taverns or homes? Need a sturdier looking interior than Bioware's tileset has to offer? Even if you just need a bit more variation for your interior areas, this set may well be for you. Clutter-free and ready to populate with placeables, and textured with textures from DLA's great TNO tilesets.
This tileset requires either the tileset haks from Wyvern Crown of Cormyr or Darkness Over DaggerfordorNWN Patch 1.69.

Very good stuff, six. The rural interior tileset is just what I was looking for (to bide my time while you work on your next interior), but unfortunately is lacking two elements to make it widely usable. It needs an interior doorway for separate interior rooms, and it needs stairs up, stairs down. Add those two elements, and rural interiors could be used for a diverse array of buildings. _________________________ Vault Submissions | Arnheim | Beyond Vives

I want to use the Rural Interior in a modern setting mod. The area is a restaurant in a country inn. Is there a way to add stairs tiles, one for up and another for down?
these are great works six! but it seems you never finished them :( it could be why no one really "uses" them, but i assure you more pple probably do than you think ;)
Hmmn. Try setting fog to be completely black. The trees aren't just a transparent white pattern, they glow with a very bright, erm, brightness. I may change them to be a more fog-and-skybox-friendly at a later date. _________________________ --- What can Q do for you? --- Undead Redux 2 | Wild Woods Tileset
First off, what issues are you getting with Spectral Wood? Since I also have an nVidia card (a 7600) and haven't experienced anything weird. Apart from the normal weirdness of the set, of course.
To be honest, hese sets I don't often work on. But slowly they are being updated, and that includes Rural Interior. Which will gain a Cellar and possibly an Attic terrain.

"Nothing" surely has never looked so good to me!
I especially love the new multi-level fort terrain/crosser that you put in. I wonder if I could convince you to squeeze a wooden archer tower or two against the wall, just in the case that you lacked of ideas :)
The spectral wood tileset acts all weird on my machine, but I guess that's more an issue with my video card (NVidia) and 1.69 than really your outstanding tilesets.
Finally, I hope that you will resume your works on the Rural interiors because I have never felt as much "at home" in an inn than in yours, despite the lack of stairs and (Gaoneng) windows. The rest I can fill in easily, with tiles or placeables. Stairs however, and windows, need texturing skills that I just don't have.
Above all, I would like to extend my gratitude to you for this submission, it is really a great work. Please do keep it up :)
Ahem, by way of additional explanation, his malicious post here has been removed by the site admin. Dunno if they'll look here again, but many thanks to them anyway! _________________________ --- What can Q do for you? --- Undead Redux 2 | Wild Woods Tileset
By way of explanation, that last comment was directed to a troll voter who posted a vote of one here - despite, oddly enough, already having voted 10 on it earlier on and thus exposing him to definitely voting only out of malice. _________________________ --- What can Q do for you? --- Undead Redux 2 | Wild Woods Tileset
Thanks, Maxam. I see what you mean with the retexturing thing, and will take it into account for future releases. I don't tend to use a great deal of textures, so including the ones I used shouldn't be too major - yet I'll not say I'm headed down that path for certain.
As for dungeons, well the tileset I've decided to concentrate most on for now will provide you with two entirely different dungeons as I'm releasing it with two totally different sets of textures.
One of them should do a decent job of providing an interior for lordofworms' atlantis buildings, and I shall say no more.
Oh and there's a small chance I'll be able to finish a tileset from way back that should add another totally different type of dungeon. _________________________ --- What can Q do for you? --- Undead Redux 2 | Wild Woods Tileset
As per your request I am not voting until final release.
VERY sad to see that your dungeon project has been abandoned. We need more Dungeons! *sigh*
Just want to say that I love these sets - especially the Rural interior. Can't wait to see where this baby goes...
Can I suggest for the final release you include the textures (renamed) in the final hak? I know this may seem odd (small download, why re-download textures you have, etc), but it does stop your tileset being mucked up by any retextures of other tilesets (with which you share the same textures). I think that it's for this reason that the Bioware tilesets that often use the same textures, double up and rename them rather than drawing from a common pool.
woo hoo! I like the new rural interior..simple but still very usable in this stage. sometimes less is more.
and I agree with everyone else here...fireplace rocks!
as you want I shall not vote yet.
little disappointed in the dropping of the Deep Dungeon...was looking forward to that one..but I know how it feels when a project isn't going well and ends up taking more time in frustration then in satisfaction.
Stairways and ramps are indeed progressing. The arena tileset is a bit of a sore point lately, though, integrating the paintings/mosaics has got a bit of a pain in the hindquaters. But it's not far off completed on the whole.
Just started experimenting with the Arena and can see a few potential uses for it besides just being an Arena...
Very nicely made but I shall, in deference to your wishes, 666, hold off voting until instructed otherwise...
A couple of thoughts... A stairway or some other ramp-type tile to allow you to move from the upper area into the arena pit would be a vastly appreciated addition. Second, any chance of having the choice of turning the fountains round the statues off, nice as they are?
Hmmn... The tiles are set out in such a way that doors between rooms as they are wouldn't work too well. For that purpose, however, an interior wall crosser could work... We shall see. _________________________ --- What can Q do for you? --- Undead Redux 2 | Wild Woods Tileset
If you are considering adding a few bits to Rural Interior, a stairs up/down would be quite useful, even if they were just the Bioware ones, perhaps retextured..
Thanks! I may end up adding a few more tiles, maybe some corner doors and another fireplace, when I submit the real Rural Interior page. Glad that you like the idea. After all, where would fantasy be without the mundane villages where every hero starts their days? _________________________ --- What can Q do for you? --- Undead Redux 2 | Wild Woods Tileset
Well, I'm working on a tomb set as we speak, just getting it ready for a beta preview. It's got a mildly egytian style - no glyphs or anything, though, since I'm trying to make more generic, and useable for other purposes.
Colossal Arena is making slow progress, since I've not really had enough time to go through all the tiles and make the minor fixes necessary to get lighting/shading working correctly, since I want to do that all at once.
Deep Dungeon tileset is pretty much off. Just can't come up with designs for any more than a couple of the corridor tiles. So that's out of the picture indefinitely until I get chance to play around a lot more with tile designs.
However two more tilesets are in the works, one is nearing beta release, and the other is lacking only one tile before it gets released as a new 'final' version tileset.
