Includes two types of room (normal, and 'vault') with different height ceilings. Makes use of Raise/Lower to allow for different levels of 'height' within an area.
While more content is coming, please note that the tileset as it now stands is fully functional - you can enter/exit via stairs, all corridor/door/room combinations are catered for, all tiles have a map icon, all of the current geometry/textures are final and not subject to change.
Make sure to run the demo module first to get a feel for the hak!
Please feel free to include this as is or modified in your module-specific haks (single player, multiplayer, or PW).
Please don't include it for re-upload in any combo/mega/all-in-one/et al hak. I understand that it is out of appreciation of this tileset that it would be considered for inclusion, however tilesets included in such haks tend to languish and not be kept up to date with the original version, or get added to/changed, again keeping it divorced from the orginal as well.
I'd much prefer that the ongoing development of my tileset remain in my hands - it is my labour of love.
Hrmm, the voting tool only goes to 10... I need at least a 12... fan-freaking-tastic tileset... as much fun as I've had in the past with classic dungeon, I know I'll find even more enjoyment with this set! Amazing work, as always!

Thanks for your comments and votes folks! @ QSW Thanks for your kind words! (I know it's hard to beleive, but I'm mostly top down when I play too!). Unfortunately I can't take credit for the coffins, they're from the new 1.69 placeables (but they really go with the tileset). @ Disco Yah, the stairs do require a bit of fiddling - thanks for your honesty. One thing I hope to introduce later is 'cornering stair' tiles. Currently corridors and stairs can only connect 'head on' so to speak. Ideally they should be able to meet at right angles also. There are some logistical/geometrical problems to overcome in the implementation, though, so they are on the backburner for the moment. The next update will have stair tiles that end in doors, which should help somewhat. I'm glad you liked the documentation - there's going to be a lot more of it as this set expands! In your comment on texturing the "black top sides with stone", I assume you mean the 'backs' of vault rooms? Or do you mean both the black backs and the tops? To be honest, that's not to my taste - BUT I'll have a look into it - if I've got the UVW set up right on the walls, there could be the option of simply overriding either one or both of the 'black' textures used for the "walls". I could make a third 'black' for the bottom of pits etc, that would not be affected by overriding... As to the version history - I'm definitely putting one in much as I've included one with the Classic Dungeon. I didn't feel it was worthwhile for the first release. I'm not sure where you saw .89 as that was the private beta release I did before posting to the vault... I'll have a look and see if it's still mentioned in there somewhere... hmmm... @ CAP 9fires Thank you! (^_^) _________________________ =|Versatile Dungeon Tileset|= =|Classic Dungeon Tileset|=

O, forgot to vote.. :D One remark that I forgot. Can you add an update log. I noticed the hak going from .89 to .90, but I couldn't find any change at all (haks still have the same date).

Very nice! It takes a bit of fiddling to get the stairs doing what you want them to do, but it's got a ton of atmosphere. Thanks for the fabulous documentation, btw. One suggestion: the top of the walls looks a bit strange if you are 'above the ceilings' if you get my drift. Would it be possible to texture the black top sides with stone?

This is an awesome tileset Maxam. The multi levels are fantastic, it is rare I play without top down, but I just had to experience your ceilings as my PC moved through the different levels of the dungeon. The detailed coffins are great, and the sounds, creatures, placeables and lighting really set this demo mod off. I can't wait to see what you add to this set, but as it is, it's a fantastic versatile set ;) Thanks for sharing with us. _________________________ QSW -NWVault Reviewers Forum

And I'd thought the Classic Dungeon Tiles were "everything" I'd ever want ... this set just blows my mind! Wonderful addition to NWN. Who would have ever guessed you could do so much? Again, my thanks for all your work, and thank you for sharing the fruits of your labor. Well Done!
