Here is version 2.0 of the Alternate Combat Animations pack! All the animations have been redone and there are too many new things to spell out here. Just check the readme in the zip file for details and installation instructions. Please leave your comments on this board. I'm sorry, but there are several things wrong with these. Sure, they're really nifty animations and added a lot of spice to NWN. But I'm sorry to tell you that not only do these animations make the new cloaks act like cardboard, they also shrink down the necks on the female human model. I'm sorry but I just can't play like that. Please fix these! _________________________ All the tales of the greatest adventures never mention the fact that most of them were spent walking, do they?

For the love of God... please update to use 1.68 cloaks... One of the best mods of all time.

Animations: fabulous
Installation : easyest
Remarks: why don't all the players use that?
Anyone got the skills to convert V2.0 to 1.68 (with cloaks)?? I'm thinking only ragnarok may be able to do it, and he's busy elsewhere though there may be some other animators with the drive to do it.

I love this download, and i like everything about it but since the 1.68 download for the new capes came up, something in this file makes it to where my cape is like a peice of cardboard. I was wondering what i should do or if there is anything to fix this problem? Like if theres a certain file making this problem? If anyones knows i would like to know. Thx.
Awsome!! Someone should create Japaneese style fighting....would look cool for an anime module!

To lazy to log in and I only wish to leave a comment.
This is better then the V3 for multiplayer servers, as with this it's only the one set of combat anitmations for each weapon. Where as with V3 its a combat animation for your character in general. So you don't have to make a overwrite for every new character you play online. If you use V3 online and you where just playing a Rogue/Ninja and want to play a druid, your gonna have to exit nwn and overwrite the animation every time you switch, otherwise you will have a druid fighting with a ninja stance. Not cool.

"enjoy the sil...(f..k) to Alliance", - Lea Organa-Solo!
so does this override the gay run? _________________________ Absolution at the sight of your demise, i know what i must do, CHOKE - Rain, Trivium

The revised v3 is great, but not as good as v2: v2 affected only your own pc, while v3 affects every pc, which I incidentally don't like. Even if I play a ninja and the v3 indeed adds some nice moves to her, I don't want all barbarians or dwarven tanks I run into to move like ninjas when they fight. If someone could just please update v2 to be compatible with 1.66 I'd be extremely pleased:D

Hi all, this is my first posting. I also have the Platinum edition of NWN and although I'm able to modify hands, weapons and such, the alternate combat files are ignored when in the override folder.
Please let me know if anyone has any solutions.
Thanks!

***probably solution***
1.use nwhak.exe to unpack acp_(style).hak
(the hakfile from acp3, ex: acp_assassin.hak).
nwhak.exe may be found in nwn directory /utils.
choose File -> Open -> (select file) -> Resource -> Export all ->(choose a directionary)
2.
rename p???.mdl from p???.mdl to p??0.mdl
(ren p???.mdl p??0.mdl)
copy all files to nwn/override
3.done.
---------
if you want to change fighting styles, just do those again.

***probably solution***
1.install your v2 first
2.use nwhak.exe to unpack
acp_(style).hak (from acp3,just the style you want to use. ex: acp_assassin.hak).
nwhak.exe may be found in nwn directory /utils.
choose File -> Open -> (select file) -> Resource -> Export all
2.there are many files exported, but we only use p???.mdl.
rename those files from
p???.mdl to p??0.mdl
3.copy those "p???.mdl" to your override directionary
done.
---------
......anyway, it looks better than v2.

Anonymous: The problem is that v3 is a hak with much more limited use. v2 made a great override that made ~all~ modules looks fantastic. Using v3 as an override is not only a major pain, but also way too specific. Those of us who still prefer v2 are hoping someone will be able to update it for 1.66. Right now, my female humans fight with the horrid old default animations. :(

For us who still like to use v2, there is a prob after patching to 1.66; female necks disappear. The conflicting files are alt_human_f.MDL and pfh0.mdl

Yeah, I'd love to see this updated to be 1.66 compliant. Especially as, due to the nature of V3, we can't put it into our PW.... too many heads to edit to make it work. (I'm talking thousands of files)
So Please, please please, someone fix the pfh0 model to work for 1.66

What are the odds this version will still be supported? It still does weird things to female dwarves in robes, and now with the 1.66 fix, I can't use this for female humans, or the heads go all wonky. Have you moved on from this stage of the project, Ragnarok? And if so, would you have any objection to someone else with the know-how to do so taking over and cleaning this up for us override-users?
