While this mod will work with small parties, anything beyond two players will probably make the combat sequences trivial.

Classes
As Hybornia is a low-magic world, there will be important disadvantages to playing any casting class. Also- weve found the game easiest with a fighter or barbarian and extremely difficult as a solo rogue. Balance your party accordingly.

Description
You wake on a beach, the survivor of a shipwreck. The men you sailed with are either dead or dying, and you need to find food and shelter for your fellow survivors, and then eventually find a way off of this mysterious island. Pirate of Hyboria is the first chapter of an epic adventure set in Robert E. Howard's world of Hyboria, the setting for his Conan the Barbarian stories. It takes place during Conan's reign as king of Aquillonia, and your character is a young sailor serving in his army. Keep in mind that Hyboria is very different from the setting of the usual Neverwinter Nights adventure. Magic is rare in this world, and has a corrupting influence on those who use it. You're welcome to play this mod as a caster if you like, but expect it to be very difficult. You will not be able to find spells, and casting near friendly npcs will cause them to become unfriendly. IMPORTANT NOTE: This mod requires a custom hak pack which is included in the zip file.
Excellent! I really enjoyed this Solo adventure. I liked the pirate theme and Conan setting. When is the sequel? I made it to 3rd level. Great Work Guys! Sully Link

This is the best Hyborian age module I have played so far. It captured the feel of the Conan short stories. I despise the Forgotten Realms and every other high magic, "care bear" setting that seems to plague the fantasy genre these days. The gritty world of Conan is a welcome respite. Combat: Not too much, not too little. Challenging, but not frustratingly so. Storyline: It is linear, brief, and to the point- totally appropriate for the genre. I particularly liked how the ending was handled. Dialogue: You wont find the hero wallowing in angst or otherwise acting pretentious. Although I would have liked to see more choices, I understand that the scope of the module was too small to support a lot of dialogue-driven plot lines. Sound and Visuals: Well done. Nothing spectacular, but a good job nonetheless. The soundtrack from the film Conan: The Barbarian would have worked nicely, but I believe there are copyright issues. In closing, I look forward to the sequel! SPOILER: The book at the end of the module was a nice touch and very appropriate.

Excellent original module. Extremely well balanced for taking a couple of characters from first to second level. Enjoyable battles and quests. one of those excellent modules and a definite change form the normal wood, village and green hills. Overall fantastic. _________________________ Vae Victus!

You know what I never understood? Jez by his language is certainly gay but he calls Howard's world gay compared to forgotten realms? It doesn't really make sense. Hey, be gay, Jez. It's fine by me. I just wanted some non-gay roleplaying games is all. I guess after two gay sequels with more elaborately gay clothing, it's too bad for me.
