A'Tuin, the great Star Turtle, carries Discworld upon its back on its cosmic journey across the boundless Universe. It is the only creature in the Universe that knows exactly where it is going. Upon its back stand Berilia, Tubul, Great T'Phon, and Jerakeen, the four giant elephants upon whose shoulders the Disc of the World rests. Welcome to my pale interpretation of the Discworld of English author Terry Pratchett. The city of Ankh-Morpork contains the Patrician's Palace, the Unseen University, and many other off-beat locales. You start inside of the Watch House (a sort of Police Station) of the Shades district of Ankh-Morpork. The module includes 54 quests ranging from the ridiculous to the extremely difficult. A schematic of the layout of relative positions of the surface Areas of the module is included in this zip file. A list of the quests presented in the module is also included in this zip file. Poke around a bit. See what you can scare up. I hope you enjoy yourself.
My client crashes everytime the module tries to unpack. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

May not be worth it. It does play a bit like a PW. They are plenty of quests but most of them (90% or something) are fetch type and the others are about going someplace killing everything and coming back. Completed about 40 quests. Found 2 broken one and I don''t think I can find more (not sure where the NPCs are or if they are still alive). "Finished" paladin 20.

Worth a try.
This is a HoF module but also one of the oldest on the vault. It is mostly a city adventure set in a very original world (Humorous/Fantasy/Sci-Fi) and it was probably designed for a good or neutral melee character (law enforcer) somewhere between lvl 15 and 25 (based on the henchmen I could find).
Pros: Well designed city/streets and interesting dialogues
Cons: Not really an adventure per say. All the quest are pretty much like "go here, kill this, rinse, repeat". Too frequent ambushes of NPCs/Monsters coming out of thin air right in the middle of the city.

Man, someone needs to make more Discworld mods. This is awesome by the way.

After playing this, I've decided to lower my score, due to the fact that this is more of a persistent world feel than a story come to an end. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Some outdated scripting makes this module look old.
Some quests need to be fixed. I have some blank journal entries.
It was inconvenient for some quests to be in the journal at the time of initial discussion and some not.
Some grammatical errors.
Overall, an excellent and hilarious module. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Awesome module! I know nothing about this discworld, but I enjoy city adventures and this is definitely one of the finest I've played. The city has a great personality and the NPC's and all make it almost feel real. Definitely lots of stuff to do.
My only complaint is the amount of enemies roaming the streets. It's not exactly that there's too many of 'em, it's just that they respawn WAAAY to often. This is a pain when you kill a group of thugs...your health is low, you don't have any spells left...so you rest, unfortunately those thugs you just killed are back. So you have to rinse and repeat. Quite annoying.
So my only complaint really is to increase the respawn time. It seems like its a little over 8 hours (assuming the PC rests for 8 hours). 24 hour respawn time would be greatly appreciate.
I am playing with a 12/8 wizard/palemaster and still find the game challenging. Next time I'll probably go in with a lvl 25+.
Anyways, GREAT mod! _________________________ Link
I aint tried it yet but if it has discworld ambiance it will be a winner , i thing the THUD book would make a great mod form discworld especially if ya had the Thud game olayble in the game!!!!

Oh my! This is great I'd add more but I'm afraid of spoilers. Where's Rincewind and Cut-me-Own-Throat-Dibbler? And as a Librarian I would like to meet him! Even DEATH if possible. I know black on black on black is hard on a computer screen.
Suggested additions. The last contitent. (From someone who, sort of, lives there) Granny Weatherwax etc. Great mission possibilities. Something more 'under the opera house?' (LOL)
I'd Love to play this multi -player. Meanwhile I got to be a crusader and nothing would fight me anymore - esp. (not wanting to give much away) in the Pit.
Sorry if I'm overstepping it a little here. I've never made one of these myself. I just like playing them and this one is one of the BEST I HAVE SEEN.

Great job. Shame it hasn't been touched in years; this is good stuff. And a wonderfully done town! A place where everybody knows your name. Very good indeed.

Great module! Although not perfect. Encounters scale a little funny, very difficult for lower leveled characters. Higher level encounters kill normal guards. Easily. Otherwise, you did a great job with the city; actual named streets! Whoa! =) - I liked how the played character(s) are known already in town. That was neat, too. "Who goes there?" "You know who I am!" "Oh, hey

It's about time somebody did a Discworld module. I really enjoyed the setting, characters, and dialogue. The quests could be a little more interesting and I think the opponents that keep spawning constantly are far too tough. My level 10 Wizard/level 5 Rogue had a lot of trouble just walking around town without dying.

From the start I was looking forward to that first ale in the Mended Drum - and as we stepped in the door the first fight kicked off - Woah! We're IN the books man!
The city is huge, it's got the characters and humour of the books (blood pies for Count Drinksalot?) and I just read that Death's House is there somewhere too? I'm going back in there now!
The journal only seemed to list 4 jobs at a time for 6 of us in multiplayer, but there was plenty to do. Nice work! It's the only Mod I've regularly gone back to.

Liked this module vey much. A lot of interaction with NPC and very funny dialogue. However there's a bug. I have no idea what triggered it but all the enemies in the game became friendly characters i.e. can't attack them but they can't converse either. Any possible reason?
