Hmm... Let's see... Paladin... Not many options here.
Description
Twilight is the beginning of my Paladin Trilogy. It starts modestly enough with your character preparing to take on the Paladin Initiation. While this is a humble beginning, I am confident that you will find the path to its conclusion a long and winding adventure. IMPORTANT: Please read the Readme before playing. There is useful information (including solutions to common problems) on Twilight in it.
I'm ok with challenging modules. However, I don't care when they start skirting the edge of ridiculous. If the mod wants me to go face a whole horde of undead, that's fine, but at least give me the tools to do it with! Within fifteen minutes of going into the eternal graveyard, Pirotase was dropped to 1st level and about a 7 STR ...effectively making her nigh useless. I thought ok, I need potions or scrolls of restoration. Upon returning to an earlier save point, I discovered that none were sold or offered in the entire town (unless I completely missed a vendor). A 1/day restoration rod as a previous reward would have been something, but no! I guess this is meant to be challenging, but it's not ...it is just frustrating which only forces the player to quick save after every little fight. Otherwise, this is an engaging and well written mod. _________________________ Well, she turned me into a newt....

Adding some to what I just wrote about this h... of a d... Light Room puzzle, which I finally went through with half of the walkthrough and half Debug jumping... I quite enjoyed that classical but very well done module, more than enough to be willing to play Midnight, the following one. Lots of interesting inventions in it, very custom, even if I hate having to play a paladin, especially that goody one. But the henchwoman just by herself greatly makes up for everything. Yin and yang I suppose. One of the greatest NWN module around... beside the puzzles, which I hate even more than paladins, not enough though to not enjoying that fine game. _________________________ @ + jml, level 52 "Overgod? Excellent module with good puzzles and quests spoiled by too much hack & slash.

Anyone a console command for the Light Room? A nice puzzle for graduating at school maybe, or getting a job, not for a game. The first time I ever had to quite a module. I hate puzzles anyway. BUt what I hate even more is not having a decent walkthrough, no workaround, no way to get any help from the author. It's a take it or leave situation. Okay, okay, I'm leaving then. Against my will. Too bad a couple of interesting things in it. Nice henchwoman quest... And as much as the Dark Room is probably my favourite puzzle, I even kept a savegame to be able to replay it, the Light Room one killed everything. Sorry. I won't vote as I don't want to be unfair. On my side. _________________________ @ + jml, level 52 "Overgod? Is that like Supergod or something?", from "Citadel" "M?not shr this ishych u g?dea.", from "Prophet" series

Both parts are absolutely awesome. Masterpieces of NWN modulemaking. _________________________ Five Flagons Inn: Link - ds-tl Theater Scripting Language: Link - dstl NWN2: Link - NWN2 one-click GUI away (except chat-windows): Link - NWN1 small file extensions for SP (and General MIDI): Link - Suggested Naming Conventions: Link - DS Sneaking: Link - DS Base (Pseudo-)Maze: Link

Good module. Quick Pros: Great cutscenes. One of the best modules for companion/henchmen. Great pacing and story telling (although the actual plot rather ordinary) Quick Cons: Repetitive and unchallenging combat, puzzles can be more fun and relevant to the class. No choices/actual RPing possibility, even with the LG paladin factor taken into consideration. Compared to some of the other incredible modules that have been released since this classic, Twilight feel dull. For its time, however, this module's scripting and visuals were absolutely top notch. My biggest complaint about this module is the lack of choice and consequence, the unavoidable railroading towards a predictable ending, and the absence of morally ambigious situations (most scenarios are pretty black and white - meaning when in doubt, select option 1). Nevertheless, I had fun playing this module and will recommend it to anyone who enjoys H&S and a well told but simple paladin story.

Hmm something is wrong, people may not like this module but this mod doesnt deserve 1. And puzzles are very common and old puzzles, given to 7 ,8 year old kids. This is one of my fav mods. _________________________ Neverwinter Balance Patch Balance Patch Votes according to Strict guideline. See the guideline page Link (\__/) (='.'=) This is Bunny. Utterly dismal module. The worst I've ever played. Buggy, poor scripting. The roleplaying is poor, the obsession with puzzles extreme. Unfortunate, because I thought the idea of Pirotase had true promise.

Well made module and gives good roleplay powers to paladin. minus point = have to run all the way back if you die. _________________________ Neverwinter Balance Patch Balance Patch Votes according to Strict guideline. Very bad start, instead of trying to immerse player into story and character, the module began with a paladin trial that is basically a random puzzle (search-keys-match-doors, you know the drills) and H&S fest, and as if it isn't bad enough, you have to finish it within a limited time period or start over (no penalty fortunately). BTW the author made it so that saving during the trial will break it so you cannot save either. Just after you think you are done with the trial, there comes the second trial - which is similar to the first trial except being harder, even more H&S, though fortunately less random. * Minor Spoiler * Now after the second trial, our paladin should be on some real quests right? Well sort of, the third trial is to find a suitable squire for your adventures onward, which sounded cool at first, until you search all over the city and found no squire material. The first trigger for this squire quest, you guess it - play hide-and-seek with some kids near the fountain... logical eh? Well you may think those kids have some connection to the squire but no... they are mere fillers, only after playing with them which involves running around the city's corners, a man will approach you for help in a burglary matter. That's in that man's house where you will meet your squire... or squiress, a female drow thief who supposedly you are to deal with. But as the event turns out, it's no longer a simple burglary, that man is a necromancer and a servant of a greater evil. In this case our paladin instinctively perceive that this drow hottie has the potential of greatness and glory. So he accompany her to deal with this necromancer... which just means another 3 levels H&S fest. * Spoiler End * This module has some really bad gameplay design decision right off the bat, and it persists for the almost 2 hours gameplay I had been through. I stopped playing thereafter because it was obvious that there will be more and more non-sensical designs like mentioned above. I do not know if the "heavy role play" is justified later in the module, but from the 2 hours I've played there were very little RP, and much H&S. It could have been a decent H&S if you were not limited to one class, and were allowed more customization to your character equipments. But as it stands, your character bagan with little gold to buy anything except some healing potions. And frankly, how much H&S fun is possible with a level 1 paladin? This module is sorely overrated and I'd recommend it only if you are a fan of paladin RP.
