Hmm... Let's see... Paladin... Not many options here.
Description
Twilight is the beginning of my Paladin Trilogy. It starts modestly enough with your character preparing to take on the Paladin Initiation. While this is a humble beginning, I am confident that you will find the path to its conclusion a long and winding adventure. IMPORTANT: Please read the Readme before playing. There is useful information (including solutions to common problems) on Twilight in it.
I don't like paladins. This module was not fun for me at all.

Overall the story is good. But gameplay is very restrictive and often time the experience is more like chores than enjoyment. I have no problem with the puzzles. They are very interesting additions to the game. But here are my pet peeves which prevented me to give it a higher score: 1. The DM interrupts the story so frequently that it is almost intrusive. 2. Little variation of gameplay. Money is so scarce that I can hardly buy any items from shops. Not that there are many items to be chosen anyway. 3. One enjoyment of playing role playing game is simply to equip your player with various items & weapons. This game offers no such enjoyment. The weapons are set. The items are set. Your henchman & the player have only one set of items which means there is only one kind of paladin you can play. This makes the game kind of boring in this regard. 4. The game reminds me a lot of Diablo's play style, except that much less variety of monster types. Just like Diablo your player will heal up to full health once it is level up. 5. Many time limited quest which requires you to rush and rush. 6. Before entering the santuary, the DM popped up once again to Autosave the game and then told me: "You will need it". I can't keep myself exclaim it: "What? Such a loser design!" Not that there are any good points, e.g., the dungeons are relatively small. Otherwise the game would be quite a boring exercise. Let me see if Midnight got any improvement.

Wonderful module, I enjoyed it greatly! The lights puzzle was a little frustrating, but I got it after a little perseverance :) Thank you for your work!

Nice scripts and story, but your puzzle obsession simply ruins it. An horrible frustrating experience

Perhaps the worst module that I've ever played, taking that mantle over from Adam Miller's 'Demon', and for the same reason. This isn't Roleplaying, this is being an actor for a control-freak director with a puzzles obsession. The storyline, and the character of Pirotase, could have made it worth putting up with the tight scripting and the lack of opportunities to play a character. Unfortunately the pointless and annoying puzzles made the game into a deeply unpleasant playing experience. _________________________ "You do well to flee, townspeople. Okay, now the central brazier's relit, but the walkthrough doesn't work. Any ideas?

Just to confirm the problem - every time I reset, the central brazier does not re-light. That also, if my pen and paper work tells me right, makes it impossible - no?

Really enjoying this so far, but stuck in the Trial of Light. I came up with my own solution, used the walkthrough's solution, but none of them work - even once when the map suggested I had everything lit (using my own solution - the walkthrough always leaves the bottom left corner unlit?), but the door just wouldn't open! I presume when I reset the first time something got mixed up - is there a console command I can use to just get through this thing? Both of my saves are in the light room.

Thanks, Rick! Really great module, I loved it much. However I didn't use to like the paladin class, this very modul changed my opinion. Well, the mod was amusing and exciting, full of good ideas. Here I can tell, Midnight also really good - although that low gold problem made it little more difficult to survive. (My potion supply were always running low.) So I'm very disappointed to hear that maybe Dawn will never comes out... _________________________ "Oh, bless me, angel!" asks me a guy. "I'm a dark angel" with smile I reply.
