Description
This is a strongly story-driven adventure that will take you through an underground Drow city, then, as the title implies, much deeper into the Underdark. There will be interesting characters and unexpected plot twists, and the subterranean environments are dark and atmospheric. Nearly all the monsters are custom-created, and should offer a few surprises themselves. There are no henchmen, nor are there any traps that can't be easily avoided by non-rogues. There is plenty of action, and lots of opportunity to kill creatures that don't look like us... because that's rather the point, isn't it?

Started with 11 lvl Ranger/Rogue. Got killed only once halfway through the mod to "drowning" by some water elemental. I recommend to bring a light source - most areas are dark.
- not every NPC has conversation/portrait/voiceset - drows, patrons etc.
- "divining pool" retains its OC conversation(it is set up in drow city palace)
- no descriptions of critters
- sometimes inappropriate mobs - too easy or too hard
- lots of "prop" doors
- "a ray of light" area clones the treasure in containers(there was different area used before with the same random generating loot containers) _________________________ Thanks Rolo:)

An interesting area layout, but storywise, this was nothing fancy. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.
Mirgalen is absolutely right. Aint no way you're starting this as a 10 or even 11th level character. Death spells killed my 11th level cleric right away. I may try it with a higher level PC someday. _________________________ Defeat the Black Knights! Play Phantasie

LOVED this mod. the undead side quest was incredibly well thought out. really enjoyed the opening maps into the underdark where its two maps of effectivly nothing. sounds funny but it really gave the impression and atmosphere of venturing deep into the unknown. The secert door was the only let down for me. i started as a lvl 10 wizard and had no real problems the entire way through. ended up as lvl 15. may be just a lil too much loot as well. thanks for a great mod. the bazaar is one of the best/most memorable locations ive come across in a mod.

Give that one another shot.
My only char who could survive the first encounter is a Monk/Cleric/Dwarven Defender level 14. Even my Rogue 1/Barbarian 13 did not survive that first combat.
* Spoilers *
There is that NPC, possibly henchmen but where is he? Once is there dead and the other time he showed up was supposed to join me but again was gone when I spoke to the Lady.
Thr trip is a endless walk deep below with little more than fight this go there fight that repeat and rince. Could not speak to anyone except some slaves goblins. went deaper and deaper not really knowing where to go or what to do next. Nothing could really stop my character until he got to a place were he had to face 8 shadow fiends. Despite his Strength that is close to 30 with Defensive Stance activated they took him down in no time (Str down to zero). He only barely injured one of them.

Poor game balance. Story does not make sense. Conversations repeated over and over. NPC playing hide and seek (possibly a bug). Little more than boring hack and slash.

This module is just or at least seems terrible.
Level 10-15? No way. I tried to play a bit with a Bard/Sorcerer/Blackguard who did survive the first combat. I did not expect this char to survive too long but the dialogues did not work for me. after the initial alert the NPCs were not moving or offering dialogues options making sense like the key NPC offering the main quest over and over.
I took a fighter level 11 in as 10-15 usually means level 10-12 melee characters and level 14-15 arcane spellcasters/rogues but she could not kill anything in the inn (although my other char managed to kill one or two things before dying). Outside she spoke with the leader and took the portal only to be attacked on sight by some crawling stuff (fair enough). My character did not kill them as instructed but when she moved towards "the bad guys" the things were following her the problem is she ended up being attacked by both spiders and "bad guys" (wrong faction setup). My character could not kill a single bad guy (too many and too strong) so I gave up.
You either need a uber character or maybe something (fighter? Weapon Master?) level 13-15 to start with.
I am currently in the Lyss sanctuary and there are two stome golems.
They have a high damage reduction but are vulnerable to fire and acid.
The problem is my character is a fighter with no spellcasting abilities and has a Katana +2, the best Katana I could purchase (I did not find any) and with this weapon the damage reduction is unbreakable.
Did I overlook a better Katana somwhere?

well-made hack and slash adventure, but the story never really hooked me in. if you're looking to bust some skulls, though, this is a good choice.

Very interesting storyline, inventive dungeons and new monsters/items. Dialogue pretty decent, though heavily marred by utterly gratuitous, gross sexism in the opening and closing segments--I both started and was left with a bad taste from that. Items, XP awards, treasure and sales prices available are mostly insanely overpowered; to each their own. The mod had several very memorable moments; the plot twist near the end, of course, and also the nicely designed, novel side dungeons. One significant bug: In the undead-killer's tomb side adventure, I charged directly into the attack and had to fight only one of the undead horde tormenting their victim; after it fell, the others remained seated and motionless, allowing me to walk up and cut them to pieces for full, massive XP awards. And one piece of practical advice: Your original idea of putting a chest over the secret door required to solve the game was a *great* idea and would have made the weird location *much easier* to find, not harder. *Of course* people have trouble finding it now. It goes against the virtual-reality concept to minutely scan a floor for glowing blue patches. People look for switches, levers, and most certainly for odd movable/destroyable items. Also, I believe your ReadMe hints say the door is the SE corner when it is actually in the SW (?).
Hi Warlock,
Sorry it didn't go well for you. If the fights were boring, maybe you were using a character that was too powerful. No, the rogue isn't supposed to follow you... if you try to open the door after he disappears, you'll know what he's all about. As for the ending, sounds like you got off-track somewhere, though I don't know how. If the mod is working correctly, you shouldn't be able to return to the city or the bazaar after killing the Prime Overlord. Was he a little feller, non-hostile? Maybe you killed the wrong guy...

The story was decent, and there were amusing bits. Some of the items found were keepers too. The amount of large, heavy loot was a tad frustrating; I took the challenge of balancing my backpack to maximize cash-income, but it got a bit ridiculous with earning some 2M during the module (played with a level 20 character). There were some bugs in the module and brought out by the module - any room with some >3 Harm-caster NPCs turns into a death trap because two harms cast at approx. the same time bug out and kill you (I suspect it a bug since it's against the described behaviour), and NPCs tend to synchronize their moves a lot since they all notice you at the same time and so on. Another bug, this one in the module itself, was the Drow rewarding me in the end; I accidentally talked to her twice, and got the exp and money twice too.
I figure my general mood was strongly affected by the start; lots of NPCs who don't say anything are a bit bothersome, while from one-liner babblers you get quick confirmation that you've actually managed to talk to them. Eg. the gypsies in the start inn confused the daylights out of me. Another thing that I slightly disliked was being railroaded in large areas - the town and the sanctum, mainly. That is, I've been told where to go and have no reason to go to the other spots, but then I have to go snoop around there anyway because you never know what you find... Well, in this case, more of large and heavy loot. ;)
Nice module for money, decent for experience too.

Just finished this mod, or should I say end it, after endless boring fights, i kill the overlord, then nothing happens, i go all the way back, and even the Kresh... in the crosssomething market are not hostile, turn out that everybody in the palace is, including the Oversee, also it seems that he doesn't have a winning dialogue, at least not in that area.
That rogue, is he suppose to follow me? because he didn't, even altough I spoke with him several times telling the same thing.
3/10, expected more from a mod with a 8.47(at the moment)

Full of bugs, lacks dialogue, endless boring fights, you enter in a room and there are 3 dozen of the same type of creatures waiting for you, you kill them all, you enter another room, the same thing, after much time, the guy who I was doing the quest turn out to be hostile.
When you "refuse to take the quest", Lord Dracul? Why on earth would you go to all the trouble to download the module, and then refuse to accept the quest? That's like ordering pizza and then refusing to eat it.

A decent high-level hack'n'slash mod. Level design is too spacious, combat's a bit repetitive, and the plot is relatively straightforward. On the other hand, I liked the custom items, and the mod does have a few inspired moments.

Experience here is set too high. This will definitely appeal to hack-n-slash fans looking for a high-level adventure.

I liked this one! Nice custom monsters, much xp to earn, you get really rich, and the end is surprising and funny.

I don't like this module. The plot lacks and the Drow Priestess does not attack when you refuse to take the quest. I give this a 0.1
Thanks allot for the suggestion.
I did of coures get SMOKED when entered the inn again, to be onfronted by evil drow. I wasn't really aware that youhad to start off with a higer lvl character, so I know what to do now.
Thanks again. :-)

Hi,
I'm not too sure what to do a search on, for level trainer mods, like you mentioned, but one idea I am thinking of, is to use my chararacter from H.O.T.U. Well it ia rather a bit of a higer lvl than 15, but we'll see....
I haven't really decided as yet.
