The nightmare behind you could never prepare you for the nightmares ahead of you. Sleepwalking through horror wrought by your own hands, struggling to save yourself from a force you cannot possibly overcome... The only constant you can rely on is pain. The only power you were given is change. Be you a savior or a destroyer, you must escape this place, or suffer forever... ...a dramatic roleplaying-driven module, by Stefan Gagne. (Version 1.4)

Another rare module that's better than the OC. I appreciate the darkness and the asylum theme. It was pretty insane... whether it was the patients or the masters. :P So many stories in this module. Thank you for making it and thanks to my friend who recommended it.

For all his effort, Mortis didn't feel like a true villain to me, I only wanted to learn what he was doing. His regrets could be felt from the start, I think. But then, I like fictional psychopaths.
There were some really awesome moments (like seeing Songbird's true self). It's like... *jaw drops* "Oh, noooo!"

Missed the voice-overs... this module was long and drug... Mortis' fate was unique, but one I didn't like. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Not much to say here, since I already commented on ee1.
Terrific atmosphere (the custom music really adds to it) and one of the best villains of all time. He even comes close to Irenicus from BG2.

Excellent module, very creative story. I thoroughly enjoyed the module.

even better than the EE1, a very very good module to play.
the only thing that the EE1 was better is the voice acting, but it's absolutely good enough, thanks!

What can I say ?
Pure awesomeness.
Even better than the first one.

That's kind of embarrassing - I introduced jml to the wonderful world of Stefan Gagne's creations and now I get to post AFTER him because apparantly I have never left any comment or vote on what is one of my all-time favorite modules. Tsk, tsk.
Remedied now. Top score!

Brill. Like everything Stefan Gagne does. Thoroughly recommend

A really unique series with a compelling story. Not a "traditional" NWN adventure though.
Worth playing!

Quite good and disturbing (especially the walk through Mortis' life)! Although I still believe HeX coda will always be your best work...

Excellent module. Genuinely creepy at some points, and interesting throughout.
I was a bit disappointed by the ending. After all the buildup, and warning that there was no turning back, my level 9 cleric (originally created in ee1) dispatched the final enemy with little effort-- maybe i was just lucky, but i expected more challenges and choices in there somewhere.
The prolog type thing where you could talk to the survivors and reclaim your loot was a very civilized touch.

Completely enthralling module. Some of the best use of music in any module I've ever played. _________________________ -=Jaysyn=-

Even better than Elegia Eternum. I did miss the voicework a little bit, but otherwise this is just as polished. I found only a few typos, and a shop exploit of sorts at the very end of the module.
That said, the characters were interesting, the pacing of the plot was well done, and I got the sense that it was a lot less linear than it actually is, which is a good thing. I really liked the concept behind the psyche probe and that alone would make this module stand out.
It's a shame there probably won't be a sequel what with the hints toward such ;_;
You might also like thegeorge's Stormy Night if you liked this, but it has much more of a surreal feel to it.

Loved it so much I just had to vote. Amazing module, full of atmosphere and interesting quests that kept me playing in the middle of the night.

I just found this module today and played it through. A very fine module, indeed. The music was outstanding.

Eep! I can't belive I haven't voted for this one yet.
This is my favourite NWN module. Everything about this module, the setting, the characters, the story, the mind probe sequences, is just awesome.

I don't think I've voted on this yet, though I played it a while ago.
One of my favorite modules, without a doubt. Extremely interesting plot, setting, roleplay, and characters (in particular, Mortis and Songbird). I haven't seen a villian as good as Mortis since Irenicus in BG2. Lori was creepy, too, but in a less subtle way.
As a rehash of what everyone else has said, the mind examinations were fantastic. I actually felt like "healing" Mortis was the crueler punishment, so of course I did that. >:-)
I haven't voted on Hex Coda either, but I should replay those first, so I can be more specific. It's too bad you've given up modding, Stefan, but if you ever write a book or something, I'd buy it for sure. _________________________ If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a hoper, a prayer, a magic-bean-buyer. Even better than the original.
Here's hoping you make another sequel.

Simply put - a Master Piece.
Truly the pinnacle of an emotional story. Hands down, one of the greatest modules that I have ever played.
A very well deserved 10.

Outstanding mod. Fantastic and original story, and the way of carrying it. If any, a bit short, but otherwise nearly perfect. Thank you very much for mods as this :)

Very creative, unique, and intriguing module. Always full or surprises, engaging storyline, and the occassional sarcastic humor that makes it hard to call it quits until the module is finished. Good stuff! _________________________ RB

Excellent mod. The best I've played yet. Beats the others by a long shot.
The "mind probe" levels rock.
Perfect 10.
