The nightmare behind you could never prepare you for the nightmares ahead of you. Sleepwalking through horror wrought by your own hands, struggling to save yourself from a force you cannot possibly overcome... The only constant you can rely on is pain. The only power you were given is change. Be you a savior or a destroyer, you must escape this place, or suffer forever... ...a dramatic roleplaying-driven module, by Stefan Gagne. (Version 1.4)
Quite good and disturbing (especially the walk through Mortis' life)! Although I still believe HeX coda will always be your best work...

Excellent module. Genuinely creepy at some points, and interesting throughout. I was a bit disappointed by the ending. After all the buildup, and warning that there was no turning back, my level 9 cleric (originally created in ee1) dispatched the final enemy with little effort-- maybe i was just lucky, but i expected more challenges and choices in there somewhere. The prolog type thing where you could talk to the survivors and reclaim your loot was a very civilized touch.

Completely enthralling module. Some of the best use of music in any module I've ever played. _________________________ -=Jaysyn=-

Even better than Elegia Eternum. I did miss the voicework a little bit, but otherwise this is just as polished. I found only a few typos, and a shop exploit of sorts at the very end of the module. That said, the characters were interesting, the pacing of the plot was well done, and I got the sense that it was a lot less linear than it actually is, which is a good thing. I really liked the concept behind the psyche probe and that alone would make this module stand out. It's a shame there probably won't be a sequel what with the hints toward such ;_; You might also like thegeorge's Stormy Night if you liked this, but it has much more of a surreal feel to it.

Loved it so much I just had to vote. Amazing module, full of atmosphere and interesting quests that kept me playing in the middle of the night.

Incredible. The attention to detail and sheer depth in this module is mind-blowing.

I just found this module today and played it through. A very fine module, indeed. The music was outstanding.

Eep! I can't belive I haven't voted for this one yet. This is my favourite NWN module. Everything about this module, the setting, the characters, the story, the mind probe sequences, is just awesome.

I don't think I've voted on this yet, though I played it a while ago. One of my favorite modules, without a doubt. Extremely interesting plot, setting, roleplay, and characters (in particular, Mortis and Songbird). I haven't seen a villian as good as Mortis since Irenicus in BG2. Lori was creepy, too, but in a less subtle way. As a rehash of what everyone else has said, the mind examinations were fantastic. I actually felt like "healing" Mortis was the crueler punishment, so of course I did that. >:-) I haven't voted on Hex Coda either, but I should replay those first, so I can be more specific. It's too bad you've given up modding, Stefan, but if you ever write a book or something, I'd buy it for sure. _________________________ If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a hoper, a prayer, a magic-bean-buyer.
