- my 17th level rogue had no problems except one instant death spell, thus I have found out respawning is free.
- some inconsistencies in the dialogues - for example 2nd conversation in the module(one with sphere) gives me option to ask who danzel dupont is, when I nevere ever had heard that name before.
- human blood got standard dragon blood description
- red dragons are evil.
- why didn't dd gave the items back when he explained the ruse?
- too much items at the start and then almost none, too much potions
Music was nice addition. _________________________ Thanks Rolo:)

blackbird: as long as it is only music you can rename any other hak faking it so the save loads. _________________________ Thanks Rolo:)

As other players have mentioned, this is much too easy for a 20th level character. Other players have also mentioned all my other criticisms as well: numerous spelling and grammar mistakes, illogically placed treasure, most of it not appropriate for the pc level, and then a monty haul at the end, too many potions, a generic, uninteresting story built around a simple, linear plot. Also, this took me a little over two hours to finish, not five.
On the plus side, the visuals were nicely done, the area design was pretty good, the custom music was a nice change of pace from the usual stuff, and I didn't run into any bugs.
Based on the age of this module, I'd guess that it was a lot more impressive when it first came out, but the bar has been set much higher since then, and it's aged poorly as a result.

Bug-free mod but comes off as somewhat generic and not very challenging at all.
Ok, so I realize this is ancient, so I don't expect a response, but figured I'd try anyway. I'm trying to revive some old characters through savegames, but I need the original hakpak that used to be used with this mod instead of the current music installer; it was titled: "utm_music_01.hak" Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Storyline and area were pale, most treasures were useless for a epic character, at least for me. The combats make less sense, but after all there was some outstanding music.

This was the designer's first module, and it shows.
There were some good visuals. I liked a few of the music tracks, though I wasn't in love with the more 'modern' ones. The central story is imaginative; I like the concept of the curse and how it came about. Despite the heavy amount of spelling and grammar errors, the writing is decent when it's taken seriously (comments like 'throwing retarded halfling children to the dogs' and names like Wolfenstein and Demonica seem jarringly out of place).
Balance is the biggest problem. This module is way too easy for a 20th level character. The biggest contributor to this is the power level of the two henchmen, who are clumsily built with a bunch of traits that seemed randomly chosen. Why does the half-elf fighter have gnome and halfling racial traits? Or weapon proficiency (rogue) and (wizard), which are covered by the fighter proficiencies? The author should have just stuck to the default race & class traits. Even though I was playing a wizard, I feel that I would have been better off leaving the henchmen behind. The encounters are underpowered to the point that my summoned elemental could have soaked up all the blows.
Treasure placement is poorly done. The best treasure in the game is placed in a chest at the beginning of the module, the assumption being that the player isn't using imported characters -- a poor judgment in my mind. Most of the chests spread throughout the adventure contain large stashes of potions (including Heal), healing kit +10's, and scrolls. All of it is too much, especially considering the lack of challenge, and it quickly becomes tedious opening up every container and seeing the same assortment. I reached a point where I just started ignoring these stashes completely, after transferring most of the potions to the henchman (who never needed to use them).
On the whole the module comes across as an amateurish effort (exactly what it is), but nothing too horrible.

Overall the module was quite good, especially liked the fact that its designed with spellcasters in mind (most lvl20+ modules seem to be aimed only at melee classes)
my one major problem would be the fact that if you don't use the exit at the bottom of the demons lair to return to the surface then you do not move onto the next quest (killing the wizard) either it needs to be clearer that you HAVE to use that exit or maybe make it so that you can still get the quest from leaving normally.
Also a couple of small spelling mistakes that could be cleared up, the overuse of teleporters gets annoying after a while.
Worth a download and a play, even more so if it's tidied up a bit.

Good hack & slash mod, though very simple. The only question is why you thought that "melee characters will find things tougher than spell casters". I could not find any aspect which supports this statement.

Enjoyable. Some interesting items to be found. Somewhat typical story, but what the heck. Hack away!

Overall I was disappointed with this module. Was pretty easy. No fight really posed much of a challenge. Even Demonica(or whatever the name was), was easy to kill. Fight took all of about 10 seconds. XP was out of control as well. Many fights I would finish off in 5 seconds and get 300-400 XP. I was using my 20th level Barbarian whose gear isnt that great. Weapon and armor I used was the stuff given at beginning of module.
The story was simple but fine. Obviously not meant to be a lengthy module. I would say lower the XP on some mobs and make others harder to balance out the module.

Great details, too short and way too much loot at the end.

I play this story with my 19th Sorceress and it was funny but far too easy ! You give too many gears and too often we can rest, even in the worst places. It is the only critic I have to this sympathetic mod :)

BUG BUG BUG! Very BIG BUG!
I got to the last quest where you had to kill some guy (forgot his name) and bring his ring back as proof. Well, I went into the wizard's house, foraged around, and at one point the guy himself appeared and talked about how he was going back to the basement to wait for me.
I found the door to the basement, but having forgotten to get the magical stone I stupidly tried bashing the door instead. It didn't work, and I gave up and went outside the entire wizard's house.
Luna was there, and she told me to bring her the ring. So far so good. Then I went over to the OTHER house - the one owned by the guy whose name starts with "G" - and opened the door, and went in. I talked to everyone there, and they thanked me for finishing the quest and breaking the curse! I found the wizard, he thanked me too and I got a journal entry saying THE END.
But... but... I haven't even killed the bad guy yet! I didn't even get into the dungeon, and didn't give Luna the ring either! How is the quest finished when I haven't done all these things.
Big-time BUG.
Sincerely,
Amberyl Ravenclaw

Why did you constantly spell "through" as "thru".
Also, to that guy whos stuck in the tomb, there is a pedestal int he tresure room that says "way out". Left click. Maybe your version is broken or buggy.

Original music score takes away from the everyday NWN music and makes it feel like a nonNWN NWN game LOL!
Music scored perfectly in the right areas and makes you want to keep playing the mod just to hear the music!

Hi there, great module, very smooth transitions and no broken scripts which so mar other modules. Perhaps a little on the easy side, but then i was playing it through as a level 27 sorcerer with kit gathered up from all 3 official games. (Greatsword +5, 2D6 Acid damage, Level 10 fire temp damage, temp keen and true strike all the way lol!)
Hope you get further modules done, looking forward to them!
Only minor complaint about the spellings, but you've heard that already...

The soundtrack rocked!
Question... there was small one area marked with a pin in a dungeon that stood by itself, but I found no way to get to it. It was in a dungeon with a level of narrow bridges and astral pillars.
I believe this area was in the NE area; been awhile since I played the single player version. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.
I'm guessing you mean Stolemeiner's crypt. there should be a pedestal in his treasure room that when you touch teleports you out of the crypt and back to the Graveyard.
eX.

Fabulous! Great job.
Even though I don't think my 20 Fighter ever lost more than 1/4 health, this was flat out fun.
Thanks for a couple of hours of escapism the way it should be ;-)
I tired this one out as it was recommended to me. It was interesting but I had a problem and had to quit. I was in the first tomb with what-his-face... the evil undead dude... anyway, after killing him, getting the key to the treasure room and grabbing the item off the red pedestal I was then STUCK.
I searched everywhere for a way out... I finally found a section of WALL that lit up and said "Floor lever" or whatever. I could even right click on the lit up text and eyeball it and it said what the game says when you find a lever...
It's actually IN the wall though... I cannot get to it at all. I take it I need to operate it then go back and touch the pedestal to get out...
