DL2 - Dragons of Flame v2.8 Dragons of Flame is the continuation of DL1 - Dragons of Despair. You have retrieved the Discs of Mishakal and brought back prayers to the lands of men again. You are told to find the true leader of the people and return victorious to Solace - only to find it conquered by the dagonarmies, the people take as slaves and large parts burnt to cinders. Do you have what it takes to free the people of Abasinia that now work as slaves in Pax-Tharkas under the cruel yoke of the Dragonlord Verminaard?
This module can be played in both single player and multiplayer and it can be run as a stand alone module or played as a sequel to DL1.
Tim, I used Sturm, Goldmoon, Tasslehoff, and Flint as henchmen in DL1 and they transferred over into DL2. Will I find the other Companions (Raistlin, Caramon, Riverwind, etc.) in DL2? I really wanted to use them in DL2.

Kith Kanan must exist and he must have the sword Wyrmslayer. (This is default true). Then you should be able to get the text -"The skeleton remains of the once proud leader of elves sit in a moldy chair down in the depthts of Sla-Mori. He still holds, In his grasp, his Great Sword Wyrmslayer.", once you speak to him. Note: You can initiate a dialouge with him by clicking on him or his throne. Try both. You should get the option of taking his sword if he has one. I have experienced some difficulties myself taking the sword from him. It could be some faction issue preventing a dialouge from starting. I will look into it. PS: By opening the module in the editor and place the wyrmslayer on the ground in Astinus Temple, you can get your hands on it (in singleplayer that is). I have some problems to get the Wyrmslayer from Kith-Kanan. There is no way speaking to him. Perhaps you could tell me what to do. Do i have to play the module from the beginning again? My compliment for your work. I like the modules, but the wyrmslayer-thing is a real fun-stopper. Plz help me:)

The story was good but could have been greatly complemented with much better dialogue through NPCs. The idle skeleton in the Hall of Acients, for example, could have said something. The battles were pretty well matched given the flawed henchman system used (see my post on this subject). I had big quality issues with the transition to DL3 (see post). The visuals were good. All in all, an okay module that with some polish could be better. All in all, a fun mod, not spectacular, but nice.

This is ruddy good stuff. Well documented (although a bit more detail would be good in the walkthrough) and well constructed. The only things stopping this getting a 10 are minor points: * A few typos * Some "out of character" dialogues * Dialogues generally a bit short * Some stuff needs more explaination to those who never read the books or played the PnP modules. Apart from that - nicely done - very nice indeed. You've kept the format simple, and it works. (same comments as DL3) -Jam

Thanks Craig, The henchmen that carries over are those that once have had you as a master. If this is incorrect that may be a bug. You certainly should have the four henchmen you used in DL1 when you started DL2. ***SPOILERS FOLLOW*** Have you found the secret entrance to Sla-Mori? It lies to the west, guarded by a troll, in the area south of the elven ambush. In Sla-Mori to the west sits Kith-Kanan. By talking to him you may take the sword. (This is the idéa, It doesn't work from time to time.) *** SPOILER END*** I hope that you will have a good time. Regards,Tim _________________________ Intelligence - The ability to plan ahead. Great Dragonlance modules! I completed DL1 and jumped straight into DL2. I was wondering why I was given new henchmen in DL2? At the beginning of DL2, Goldmoon and Riverwind (who were the very first henchmen from DL1) appeared, but 4 other unused henchmen from DL1 also appeared. 4 henchmen I was using in DL1 disappeared. No big deal, just curious. Besides that, I've tried everything I can think of to get the Wyrmslayer sword, but haven't been successful. I'd appreciate any help you could give. Thanks! Craig

I have uploaded a new version 2.8. In this one I have removed the irritating bugg that henchmen once killed and bleeding joined the one healing him/her. This made Goldmoon the master of most henchmen and thus prevented the player from talking to them. I have also added some code to increase the chance of finding more treasure if more that one player is playing. The amount of treasure is increased for each player up to four players. Henchmen is counted as half players. I hope this will make your experience of dragon lance even better,Tim _________________________ Intelligence - The ability to plan ahead. brucejs777, In DL1H Goldmoon heals all partymembers with her staff. She doesn´t have the staff in DL2 and has to rely on her own spells. Unfortunately the standard scripts does not make henchmen heal each other. There is no way to tell her to do so. You can tell them to rest. This will make them heal without any cost but not in combat. You can also make any priest cast healing on you by using the radial menu (right click, top selection I think). Good luck with DL2H,Tim _________________________ Intelligence - The ability to plan ahead. Wisdom - To actually do what you planned.
