It has been ten years since the Dark One's banishment. Your spirit was damaged and your soul has forever been tainted since that time. You have been a recluse for the last ten years letting your skills diminish. You receive an urgent message from your friend, Alando. He calls for you to come to the great city of Lisdon. His message is filled with dread...As are you. This is the sequel to 'Journey Into Darkness'. This module uses some of the best custom content for NWN the community has offered. I have also added a few things including some custom music. The Souls of Time hak is required to play this module. Updated 7/29/03. SoU install required to play.
Well...long time no chat. I'm sorry everyone I haven't been around in such a long time. I have good news and bad news. The bad first. I abandoned my last module project the Wizard's Wishes. I'm sorry to all of those that were waiting for it. I definately got tired of NWN but really life got in the way more...like buying a house, changing jobs, getting engaged. Then of course EQ2 and WoW came out. I am currently playing WoW with friends and about to quit EQ2 maybe...not enjoying it as much as WoW....ok enough with the bad news. The good news...hopefully to some is that I'm sure when NWN2 comes out I will be anxious to build a module with that game. I will continue what I was working on for that game...so in essence just porting my module idea over to a newer game platform. I know it will be awhile but hopefully NWN2 will give me more of what I need for my module idea. I ran into a few hiccups here and there...stuff I wasn't talented enough to do or the game engine wouldn't do. Thanks for everyone's support. You made it enjoyable to make modules. If I haven't deleted it yet...I may post a couple of the models I was working on for my module...like my treehouse and stone bridge and forest placeables. I had a model of an effigy using the NWN skellie with flame emitters on it. It looked pretty good. Well until NWN2 comes out you guys won't see me most likely....thanks for the good times. *Cheers*

Greetings, my only problem was that +blocked+ equipment in the start store and the lack of enough options to upgrade later. I still liked part one and two and maybe will check Resurrection. Your *.hak application was fine to me. One thing I really would like to know tho, are you seriously considering that sequal we got a bit of a sneak peek off? Because that scene has become one of my favorits and I really really hope you'll make this. I have a weakness for master slave games :) In fact, due to lack of them I am creating one myself. More out of frustration than anything. Anyways, if you do start with it, I'd love to help playtest. Just let me know.

Hi FranR...thanks for playing my modules. I'm glad you had fun at least after you got past the beginning. I don't know how you broke the event in the beginning with young Lethan. You shouldn't have been able to attack him at all. Anyways...glad you liked the rest of the module. I released this module before the expansion packs or prestige classes came out. It isn't suited for half-dragons and such. Was never meant to be at the time. Sorry this screwed up some gender issues and ability loss for you but those are the breaks. Anyways...glad you had fun.

Wow, what a nice surprise and cool twist that I didn't expect. I'm actually really glad I downloaded this one, sure is your best so far. Excellent work. I ran into some problems, but except for the one I mentioned earlier, nothing gamebreaking. * again possible spoilers and appearant opiniated rambling* It was slow to get into, again I blame myself for trying to forcefully work my way through part 1. Still, things start to pick up pretty good and I start to get to see things in different lights - very different lights in fact. End phase two I saw the tables turn on me. Suddenly I was the problem haha. But you know, that end scene (loved that music, great job on making that - you should provide more of your self-written/ music to the game, its really good. That soft particular moment really gave me goosebumps, which I didn't expect really. I felt so sorry for him that I kind of wished I was laying there dis.. err... well you know what happened. Wow what a surprise after I discovered some more in the end. I *really* didn't expect that to happen, but I gave in (romantic fool after all). I don't like puzzles, but they were not too difficult, just a bit of a hazzle/fuss/annoyance (foreigner, what can i say, English in general don't make always sense to me, nevermind puzzles). You do mix up east and west very often, not only in the first puzzle (I assumed I was suppose to face north, though south would have worked just as well). The walkthrough also sort of mentions north, but if north is up then west is always left, I actually had to get this in my head at a later age due to playing roleplaying games, go figure. Its not so common to use these directions over here (the Netherlands), maybe we should, less people lost. I made a mess of the color game, but when I read through your walkthrough it kinda got worse at first until I figured out to read upside down. Though I still think, even with the handicap, that your way upside down was still faster then my no idea what to push here idea :) I loved the different area's, with moods, atmosphere well you name it. Really great. The end though shocked me. lol. I'm not sure If I can deal with this kind of doom hanging over me. My skin has seen better times too ... lost my wings though, but I bet you didn't know I was a half dragon monkaholica! It wasn't smart to start the series with a sorc/rdd/monk but it was sure as hell great fun finishing chap 2 with it! Oh I did loose some abilities, so just in case you were wondering. The fight with big eyeball let me know quite warmly that I no longer was immune to fire. I still have blisters! Oh my char early on kept getting stuck (pathfinding screwy?) at the rooftops doing these run arounds. almost as if something was blocking. found my way eventually but took a bit. After a few rounds (I wasn't really jogging, just enjoying the view) it seem to disappear. Though I am still not sure how it is possible. Also maybe make it impossible to cancel polymorph at certain times. i got dead in the water by mistake. i see land oh i need my body and plop oh wait, that's not going to work ... reloead ... just an idea. And thank you for the fun, was a blast ;)

Just a quick note between trying to get through this mod (moments of some fun but mostly frustration because things don't work). I wasn't really in a favourable mood to play this mod, because your first one really made me lose the appetite (specially after going into the forgotten city etc nonsense, just dragged on too much and I just kinda finished it so part two would make more sense - now I wish I just had quit and started with part two, so I wouldn't be so negative about it. hack 'n slash just isn't my thing. and too many of the same, repeats, isn't either. topping it of by facing goblins and spider in the end game - kills me. I also started to dislike the quests because it killed what little motitavation I had to make it through. I hated the quests because they were either setup to betrayal or with a bad ending. now its bad enough to hack through caves and what not, or hunt after reptiles, but you still carry back a dead. I eventully stopped doing sidequests tho luckily at that time they became a bit parser as well. I don't enjoy carrying the dead, but to create them. I guess I should have written that in the first mod section, but you probably don't read that often as this so ... overal an ok mod, but nothing great. its cool that it is your first, but that doesn't make it great for me, sorry. If I had to vote, you'd end up with a starving 7, and that's pushing it. * may or may not contain spoilers, read at your own risk * Now, chapter two starts then very corny - you know what about you know who - I don't want to spoil but I bet everyone knows who the hell I'm talking about. anyway, I decided to go with the flow and see how the story itself evolves. the dive was a bit ... well ... not very interesting, but I guess it got the story going. Somehow I felt I was about to sell my soul, though I think some dark ones already claimed it. any event. I picked the 'easy way'. Well, you don't get the chance to kill a kid so why the hell not. Well first of all you still seem to have your genders mixed up. that's ok, happens to the best - but only an annoying lil Tera can call me missus and uncle in the same line (yeah the famous tree encounter, might want to check that). I don't think being a half dragon should matter (well I was but the level down didn't seem to take much of my dragon half away either, I am at level 13, but still with 24 str *and* wings (thank the hells for that). I chat with everyone in town, not always friendly (hey not my fault I got rolled this way). Eventualy none would speak with me. Like I care. I patiently waited for everyone to leave church (boring cutscene, specially if you have to go through it so many many times trying to figure out what went wrong). So what went wrong? Well, I went up to morbid forest, spooked lil henry, chopped off his head and then nothing. Fine. I destroyed the entire city, still nothing. Reload times x I don't even remember how often. Finaly I got something going. Well, gotta say that the nice warm welcome from the villagers was a real sight for a sore eye, that cutscene was close in making up for the screwups. I tried to recreate the working part again, but this wasn't as easy. I think I had in total a 20% successrate (or so it felt) in making lil henry not freeze in panic on me and thus break the entire cutscene that was about to follow after. I really tried to figure this one out, and all I can say - don't pick all the bad answers or you'll get stuck - and if you pick the nice answers, keep your fingers crossed that it *will* work. Saving before speaking with lil henry (lethan was his name, but that's too nice) didn't seem to matter, though I only got the cutscene by telling him of his upcoming doom in a nice way (eventhough I rather would just kill the lil brat and laugh in his whiny lil face when he coughs out his last breath). I would very much prefer to kill the lil pita and have a direct summon from the soulsoup letting me know that 'forces' prevented the death of such an innocent (yeah right) soul. Still leaves me unsatisfied, but at least i didn't fail. So this area had me stomped, and trying to precisely tell you where it goes wrong just seems impossible and I'm not about to dive into codes - that's your job. The gender problem returns, again with Tera (well at least she's consistent, even as an adult she doesn't seem to have her wits about her) when I finaly meet with big henry (a paladin no less) - so you may want to check that part and maybe add female half dragons or something more fitting than male? Because obviously that's not what I am. And then the part that actually seemed to be the reason for going to these comments - the puzzle, but you already explained that so I'll stop myself from banging my head against the wall why it won't work. I tried banging someone else's head, but that got me far from gaming (so I wouldn't recommend it). Nice padded walls tho. So far chapter two seems to be more fun, really loving the cut scenes and extra background, so that's a good thing. Just for goodness sake, don't put any trolls in drag, like you did in chapter 1. Trolls as mutant reptiles. Gâh! And bloody impossible to kill too (200 flame arrows just for one, that's roughtly 5k for about 980xp, not too mention too much work - oh and i'm not an archer I'm a dragon-half monkaholica (was a bit too much of a challenge to start, since of the pre-requisit of sorercer/bard + 8lore - no bard due to chaos, so sorcerer it was, gâh!). I go smash boom bang, ya know. no sissy bows for me! If you actually read this entirely you are either very bored, or easy entertained. Get yourself some milk, make some sandwhiches too - you're looking a tad bit pale. Take care. i'll be back with more nonsense after hopefully finishing chapter 2.

Wow, that was a BLAST! Excellent scripting (!!), VERY nice work on several not-so-usual opponents, nice story, visuals were perfect and the cutscenes were nicely put. Really, it was eyecandy all the way. Bioware eat your heart out! I'm definately going to look out for more modules by you, Sir. *** SPOILERS!! *** . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *** I WARNED YA! *** A small minor for me; the quite obvious though time-consuming puzzles (gems, anyone?). And, for my Dwarven fighter, most of the fights were waaay to easy, and I didn't had any über-gear so to speak :) Specially the fight versus the Disposer right before the Soul Chamber and the scene afterwards. The Dark One leaves you with 2 really easy-to-slash manticores while the Disposer was much more of a challenge. I really liked your Undead Giant, and of course, the Draco Lich (which I killed as well without too many troubles). Really nice stuff you threw in there, the Wizard Tower was magnificent! *** END SPOILERS ***

It's really, really good to see that you are really coming back. And the screenies are very good. What you updated in your old mods however? Are you gonna make some of them use (souls the best candidate) the last patch/XP/CEP? _________________________ The hottest new modules you can't miss - player suggested Contributor to Overlooked Module Reports An interview with me about NWN mods
