Level Range
Level 4 is optimum. An NPC at the beginning will offer to raise or lower you to level 4, should you want to start a new character. However, I STRONGLY suggest importing a character that has gone through Part 1.

Description
Journey to the Dwarven town of Dundercombe in an effort to find clues about your identity and what's happening to you. Just don't go in unprepared... danger awaits. This is a story about knowing oneself. About the fact that who we truly are is not determined by yesterday, but by the actions we take today, now, every moment. - after death I saw 2 "?????" at the end of the path
- I got 250XP every time I loaded a game
- there was only 2 stores with high selling and low buying prices and both their inventories were somewhat scarce
- difficulty was big especially for cult guardians(after I dealt with them I read in the readme they should be sneaked past) _________________________ Thanks Rolo:)

I think this was a polished effort with original areas and characters. I personally thought it was a little too much hack n' slash though and some of the "puzzle areas" tend to get pretty frustrating. Still ... the mysterious storyline and the various Dracyn items is a great plus.
I think this part was slightly better than the first, so I'll give you a 8.00 vote instead of a 7.75 vote this time around.
Everyone: your VOTES are highly appriciated. A vote is like gold for an author. No kiddin'. ;)

Well crafted areas with very inventive scripting and good use of sound and music.
The story continues, but unfortunately of the questions I had after part 1, nothing is revealed before this part ends as well.
Events unfold, the plot doesn't seem to make much sense but it doesn't really matter.
But this time the combat was a chore. Overpowering opponents, quite unlike the first part. With pretty competent fighter on easy level,
I was forced to spend all my cash on healing kits, this made worse by getting amazingly low gold for loot, like 12gp for +2 damage halberd.
Killing one guardian required more in healing kit costs than I got from selling it's magic armor and weapon!
I was bleeding money through the module, though finally ending up with about the same cash reserve I started with.
Things got better after getting to the ancient chambers, that part was really enjoyable.
The gatekeeper was an exemplary quest, I love to see things like that.
Overall, roleplay light and hack & slash heavy.
There are different dialogue choices, but it's really nice answer - jerky answer, you get the same result anyway.
PS. Sneaking past the guardians wasn't really an option for me, when half the XP in the module comes from slaying them...

This and part 1 is the best modules yet, of the few I have played from the vault. The bug "that would give experience for acquiring an item whenever the player reloaded a saved game" is still in force.

Well done! I'd rate it higher, but Part 2 has been out for a while, and since it ends with a cliffhanger (and Part 3 is not out yet), I feel abandoned & used! :)
Just kidding!
I would certainly rate it higher if Part 3 showed any signs of being in progress or was available, though...

I'd love a part 3 too :(
That was one of te first mods that had a story, alongside Lone Wolf mods.

If the author hasn't put in a comment for a couple of years here, does that mean this module series has been abandoned? *sighs* Such a great shame if that's the case, parts 1 and 2 were excellent.

Even better than the first, loved it, thanks again for a wonderful module Chadmium, and am really looking forward to Part 3.

Even better than the first! Still one error though -
pulling the lever to get the gnome to follow you is a mistake. If you leave, he will follow you all the way down to the cellar where the wererat will attack him and thus kill him.
Then you cannot get the gnome to talk to the dwarf to enter the dwarven city.

Good, solid adventure - if a little on the short side. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Very intriguing story. I'm waiting for part 3! ;)
Some fights were really too tough for non-fighter classes.
about part 3:
just like the BioWare's board answers about
the D.A. release date: when it is done.
Feeling pushed to release something real great
in a short time line is a worse enthusiasm hog
than writing and testing henchmen convo trees

Good mod. Thought it was better than the first. Battles were a bit (too?) tough, but I went invisible to skip the guardian's, for example, because I assumed you were not supposed to fight them (I was a PAL LVL4/SORC LVL 1). I hope you really do a Part 3.

A great mod, but combat was way too tough, my bard kept dying.

I thought this module was inventive and well done.

A bit low on roleplaying options and very linear, but a well told story and mostly well balanced fights.
A few minor scripting problems (one repeatedly killing the player) prevent higher rating. _________________________ With magic, you can turn a frog into a prince...

nice mod. will you ever finish part 3?
If you hav'nt found it the 250xp bug is caused by the pretty pink party armor that gives you invisibilty. every time you pick it up you get 250 xp
Cheers
