Description
A black cloud has settled over the fishing village of Crimor, and it seems as if fate has drawn you there. You have learned that the source of the towns troubles is somewhere within the Silvermarsh, and that the father you never knew journeyed there long ago.. In order to obtain a guide into the uncharted marsh, to discover the truth about your father and your past, you have joined the organization known as Kales Rangers. You struck a bargain with Nelad, head of the rangers, that to get a guide you must first perform what seemed to be a routine mission - to seek out the missing ranger Baewyn. In your search you have learned that nothing about this mission is routine. Note: You must use the character you finished KR1 with. This module also uses custom music which is contained in the separate hak file. You need the small hak file which is included with the module, but do not need to download the custom music if you can live with many areas not having music.
I'm having the same problem as Hagaar was. I've been over the area and the beetle tunnels more times than I can count, and I'm still not getting a completed journal entry. Is there a shortcut to move on, or am I stuck?

Great mod and great series. It's a wonderful LOTR-like adventure and a great showcase for rangers. I would gladly sacrifice several cute furry animals to see part 3.

Started originally with a dex ranger but had a game stopper in KR2. I had used an older version fro KR1 and most recent for KR2. So when I start KR2 Meristas is not with me. Next time around played with a str ranger and expertise where needed enjoyed the mod. Played hardcore BUT when Bioware were looking at the ranger they saw him as a bow specialist and to play him in easy/normal mode ie no attacks of opportunity when using ranged weapons. Anyway finished as a 5th lvl ranger and enjoyed the mod. As for KR2 very good, use of traps (not that effective) and tracking skills possibly gain a little xp for using these? Finished as an 8th lvl Ranger (Human) and may be tempted to try again but having some druid or clerical levels. As have been mentioned pron no KR3 in sight which is a shame my vote of 9.5 is based on this if and when KR3 is released I would most certainly give this mod a 10

I have come up against a bit of a show stopper as well (prob due to my own fault). Finished KR1 with Meristas, start KR2 she's not with me oh well find her later on. I felt that something was amiss as Nelad asked me once agin to look after Meristas (still haven't found her) and when I find Baerwyn and trap is sprung then I realise that OOOPs prob missing Meristas. This is either due to a major bug or prob my fault I had finished KR1 and noticed that KR2 had updated so I downloaded updated KR2 version and used that. Be very careful here methinks Even so this is truly a brilliant mod have loved it, have used ranger classes but only 1 level either to bolster a fighters search and or spot skill OR to give a rogue the chance to have dual wield which leads me onto- The reason why I do not use ranger as main class is due to dual wield (why can't we have the option here dual wield or ambidexteriy/2 w Fighting). For him to be effective he must have a vg dex. The second reason is wis has to be an 11 (surely this should be dex) as ranger spells are not very good (similar to paladin went through a level up mod with a ranger/pal who at level 20 had a wis of 19 and 10 spells) No wonder a fighter is used far more. Hagar just in case you are reading this the only prob I think you may have encountered is in sw area. One of the task masters leaves a note. I found that a stag beetle had turned up and was fighting 5 diggers. I saved before this hoping to kill stag beetle fro more xp. Anyway I think the beetle killed one of the diggers and I killed the rest and stag beetle (save reload save reload etc). Therefore the stage beetle may have killed 2 or more by itself a crit hit from a stag beetle would prob kill a digger anyway. Will start up gain shortly though but for me this deserves a 10 based on it being so good. But before that does anybody know how I can jiggle around with the toolset or commands to allow Meristas to be with me ALSo have been thinking about using an elf but the father was human?

I love this series. When will part 3 be available??? I hope this is not like some of the other series that I have played where you are left hanging because the last of the trilogy is never released. The use of the tracking device and the tests of skill make this very enjoyable.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for the sequel or bugfixes. I remember Stormrazor2000 had temporarily abandoned part 3, then posted here saying it was still in the making. But that was more than a year ago, and he hasn't posted here since then. Also, if you check his submissions page, it seems like he's involved in some NWN2 PW. I guess most of his time is spent working on that. A real shame, because this series was extremely good. It's sad to see it unfinished.

I'm back. And now i must truely say that there is definitely something amiss with the Under Stirgewood area. After several attempts at this from both the epilogue from one as well as starting from the "Tree", I cannot get the quest to complete. As I mentioned in my previous post, there are only two... count 'em 2(!) living creatures in the area. My character as well as my companion. All the other critters are dead. As I now find it impossible to finish and the possibility that the builder has no intent in updating or offering a work around, I'm going to have to assume that this is it. Therefore, it will be No Vote due to the inability to complete this. Too bad, I was actually enjoying this and if the author should ever pop in and check it would be a good idea to correct the problems. _________________________ We are all born ignorant, but one must work to remain ignorant. I've run into a problem that I ran into when the game first came out. I've cleaned out the area beneath the Stirgewood as required and after going through it for the fifth time to ensure that I didn't miss anything, it is not triggering as done. Since I had a savegame from just entering the forest, I reran it and came up with the same thing. It will not register as completed to the Entity. the only "living" beings down there are my character and my companion and nothing esle. I did note that whenever we passed a dead Squealer(?) she'd ask about attacking it. So I'm thinking that there's a glitch with that one. How can I get this to trigger as done? _________________________ We are all born ignorant, but one must work to remain ignorant. Benjamin Franklin
