Well, here it is, Baldurs Gate. I started to work on this module last summer but I stopped last Christmas, I got tired. Id say this is the best Baldurs Gate module yet. Its around 20mb or something. Its not finished, dont think I will finish it. But please, anyone that wants to continue my work, please do. Its 50 areas big, lots of quests and stuff. The total size with the haks are 125mb. Yes, it is enormous but maybe it's worth it? The haks are included in the rar. Theres a bunch of stuff added there. If you decide to download this, please read the .txt files for more information such as installation, comments etc. Its very well explained. I decided to submit this module (and haks) so maybe someone else wants to continue the work. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. The Package includes: The Baldurs Gate module New Music New Loading screens Custom GUI New Tilesets NPC Portraits NPC Heads Lots of new Placeables New Weapons and Clothing
If you could get it to Nashkell it would be just awesome. It would be cool if it was in CEP version too.

Jimmyjuves & Faendalimas: There's a 2ed -> 3ed attributes conversion table in one of the WotC books, I believe. I might have a PDF of that page lying around my HD somewhere.

Someone MUST finish this module, I would love to see the full Baldur's Gate in nwn module form.

Jimmyjuves: In my own version of this I have not included Khalid as a henchman, he rejoins you later on just before heading off to Amn (ie BGII). Anyway my view on the BGI npc's is to keep the concepts of them from BGI but in reality to completely re-roll them under 3ed rules. Also I am making them level 1's with levelup rules for them. They will level up to the standard PCLevel-2 of henchman according to these rulesets, hence they will multiclass into the appropriate classes. This is an excellent reproduction of Baulder's Gate. I would recommend anyone to play this module if you are looking for a good module to play solo. _________________________ Where's Me Ale, you dirty goblin-eating snot?!?

Just one thing, thje NPC's i.e khalid, imoen etc. will probablyneed some tweaking. The strength 15 khalid had in bg1 is much worse then strength 15 in 3rd edition. same goes for most other stats, that is bonuses come much earler now and change at regular intervals by regular amounts. Maybe characters stats should be changed so they're similar to they're original bonuses, not numbers.

I'm downloading it right now, and would be VERY interested in giving it a go - if for nothing else, just to see BG running with 3rd Edition rules. For this, I would only like to ask Phoenix for initial help, as well contact from other folk who would like to carry on Phoenix's project. Thank you Phoenix for the brave attempt!

My own view would be to not try and replicate the mages from BG1, as you are converting to NWN Engine you may as well convert BG1 to 3.0 ruleset whileyou are at it. Its always been a premise in D&D that spellcasters though visibly appearing weak make up for it significantly in the power of the spellcasting. I always play mages have done in first, second and third edition rules and I would not consider them any less powerful under third ed. The mistake many make with mages is they try to turn them into a tank. Thats not the point of them really. If anything 3.0 has made people concentrate on not being a tank and using them as efficient combat casters with some on the run buffing ability. Cheers, Faen ps: sorry if there are two posts here... Opera auto filled and sent the form as soon as I opened the reply window. :-) Lil waela lueth waela ragar brorna - luth wund nind, kyorlin eighinn!! _________________________ Sojourney - Menzoberranzan Project Manager Lead Game Designer Lil waela lueth waela ragar brorna - luth wund nind, kyorlin eighinn!!
