The world has Turned. One by one, the lands of the Sword Coast have fallen before the wrath of a newborn god. Yet hope remains aboard the Elizabeth Arthur, as she sails west on a last, desperate quest (a sequel to The Pig Farmer).

Good idea poor implementation (see excellent review by Anon).
DO NOT play the turning with the char you used in the pig farmer! This should have been stated somewhere. This mod plays as if the hero had failed in the previous module so having tried both ending did not help here.
An other major flaw is that this is not a D&D adventure. After playing these two modules you can/must retire your characters. Again a warning could have help (e.g. only play with the pre-gen or only play with a char you do not intend to keep and develop). DO NOT PLAY with a char you intend to grow step by step.
Although this one was easier and more playable I felt that playing these mods was a waste of time and characters (got to high lvl char with little if any equipment including one immortal). Now what?

Forgot to add... I would have missed half of the adventure if I hadn't read the walkthrough! :)

One of the more unusual mods I've played in a long time! Lots of things to like as others have said, but a few nitpicky things also for me. I couldn't find anyone anywhere to buy & sell stuff (except at the very end) and I didn't find any magic weapons throughout the entire adventure.
I still enjoyed playing though, and thanks for a fun & unique mod! :)

-1 Total item stripping
-1 uniform was not cloth. My monk lost speed because of that.
-1 I generally don't like stories where magic items change the world. Too much mind flipping. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

This is one of my new favorites. :) Most about it is awesome, just some minior stuff here and there. Very original, easy to get into and a joy to play. :)

This module is underrated. I loved everything about it. _________________________ "I just love your pointy ears" Said the orc. "Really? I do like your large fangs" Replied the elf.

This module has great special effects - it's nice to see module builders keep their eyes peeled for also "not invented here" gems. I especially liked the supports for the ship part of the story and the view from the top of the tower in Tranquility. Climbing up the tower wasn't so fun though, since the view was always the "wrong way around" (top-down cam); climbing down was smooth as peaches, in contrast. The twisty plot continues and the story is tied back to the first module in creative ways. What I think is a bit of a negative is the lack of warning for equipment stripping and generally the combination that you can't/probably won't want to use your character as they end up after the module (due to the equipment removal), but on the other hand there's mind-boggling exp awards on the way. Maybe there could be a pre-made character to be recommended for use? It would probably clear up the confusion people seem to be having about the character continuity too. Take advantage of the NWvault's options! :)
I seem to have missed high-end loot in the celestial doorway maze by being the good girl; maybe it's for the best, it'd be sad if I were too tempted to continue to use my character after losing my original gear. ;)

This is one of the better mods in the vault. I particularly liked the story progression on the ship.
I wish there are more ship mods with stories like those on Horatio Hownblower.

Throughout history, men and women suspected of witchcraft were burned at the stake by people who believed they were saving the witches' souls.
My reference to such atrocities in The Turning was not motivated by "hatred and bitterness," but rather as a reminder of our collective past--and a warning of the perils of ignorance.

Would be a good effort. Technically great but you just had to fill it with hate speech didn't you. Stupid villagers buring witches eh? You clearly have shown your bitterness and hatered in this one.

This module really grabbed me from the very first cutscene. The atmosphere of doom on the ship was masterful, as was the disturbing setting on the island. But then about halfway through the tale the attention to detail dropped suddenly, as if the author was in a rush to finish. That's too bad, because the story had great potential. This author has all the talent to make the second half of the module as good as the first, and if he does, then this will be a real masterpiece.

Good writing, with few noticeable typoes. Great story, great use of custom content, and great scripted features. Great care has been taken to some details, especially in the beginning. The ending seems a lot more rushed, however.

Well written, fantastic attention to detail, and fleshed out NPC's. An enjoyable story, I think it would have been better had it been set in something other than Forgotten Realms. Perhaps a world of the authors making (though I think I understood why he did it this way, for familiarity or permancy)? I also took issue with some of the game mechanics near the end. Since I like to end on a good note..... this module easily has one of the best begining sequences I have ever seen in a module. _________________________ Old School

THE DARKNESS!
Ok, yeah. I beat Pig Farmer a while ago, and it was REALLY great. Up there with some of my all time faves, but I forgot you were making a sequel. He who is not actually named Bob must thank you, and download this.
Oh yeah, and . . .

Bruce, you can easily tweak the xp ramp to your liking in the toolkit :-)

The mod gets off to a GREAT start, excellent mood and wonderful story. The early parts aboard the Elizabeth Arthur are atmospherically among the best I've seen.
The end of the mod, however, is a HUGE letdown. If there is one absolute, 100% no-no in roleplaying, then it is: DON'T degrade your player to uninvolved bystanders watching the NPCs doing the work.
Also, the ending seems extremely rushed and leaves one with a pretty hollow - and slightly annoyed - feeling. _________________________ With magic, you can turn a frog into a prince...

I found the story very, very interesting and some of the scripting and special effects really spectacular. The whole astral plane idea was really wonderful!
I did have a couple of "issues" though. The XP ramp. Set at 100%? Never seen anything like it. I was levelling more often than resting! I think I got 6 levels in 3 hours play-time! While the ship and the island seemed reasonably balanced for combat, after that it was a joke. It was balanced for the other NPC's in the game, I stood back and sucked up the xp. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I did not find it that much fun.
Equipment was non-existant, but from other comments, I assume I missed something?
Anyway, a good mod all in all. I too found the story had quite a "rushed" feel to it. A little polishing/fine-tuning/balance would make it much better.
I also had the impression that this was a continuation of the first - therefore use the same character. This made no sense whatsover. I also see, from other comments, it was a continuation of the story for the NPC's, not the player. Hmmm...
