***UPDATED - FINAL **** A shortish, fun, Arabianesque adventure for single player or a band of adventurers. The module can be run fully without a DM, but contains DMFI wands and dicebags, and several other DM aids (see the DM Notes included). You have left your home town for your own reasons, and bought passage with a friendly elven captain named Lyell. He has brought you to Hajlimar, where he has left you to wander the docks. What excitement does the exotic port of Hajlimar hold? And who is this Baronness DeCallya you keep hearing about? Credits: Simple Balance System by Johan Playtesting by Starfox, PlayMate, drcarson and guildenkrantz. Thanks also TormEQ. PlayMate has been a constant source of feedback, support and new ideas.

I'm not a big fan of puzzles, but I found this a very entertaining module. I had a little difficulty getting the initial thief chase quest to work properly, but after restarting I was successful. I regret only that I never recovered the merchant's necklace, and that the Baronness' farewell note was so positioned that I was unable to pick it up to read it.

Magic tigers and unique puzzles. This one is a must. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Very nice little mod! I usually don't like puzzles very much, they are often a bit tiresome to solve in NWN... lots of clicking and moving around... but here they fit the story perfectly and I didn't mind at all... those who are musically challenged might benefit from a walkthrough though, otherwise one of the puzzles will be rather difficult.
It is quite enjoyable... and the Baroness is a fun character, a pity she never returned for another high adventure.

nice setting, but there are bugs in the thief chase quest(you have to chase her immediately after the conversation took place). Insides of the towers are too big methinks. _________________________ Thanks Rolo:)

I know this is old but I played it recently so I decided to vote. Fun mod!

Excellent vintage module.
I mostly agree with the review. I think that linearity of modules is not such a problem (and they tend to work well after numerous patches). I gave it an extra point for the originality and the puzzles including one who encouraged me to learn how to read music.
can u please email me a set of clues for this mod, whereas i don't get the whereabouts of the puzzle, and where is this secret door that seems to elude methinks?

Fun little Mod:)
Thank you for taking your OWN Personal Time to make
this Mod for us.
As with/out you Mod builders...
What are us NWN fans to do?
1. I can't open the door in the corner of the level below the tiger cave in the main hall at the bottom of the stairs.
2. Where the heck is the theif that got Corda's necklace?
3. I can't figure out how to get into the east or west tower of the palace.

Nice mod, fun story but could do with a little more dialouge to round things out and to create more interaction with the main character. A couple more journal entries needed at key plot points as well. With these additions I'd give it a 9.25 at least.

Kray, you must simply say the song name on the stage, using the normal chat (press enter and type in the name, enter again).

"Awesome mod- but I seem to be in a fix.

I fought the werecat and got the book saying I need to say some verses on a stand in some inn, but I'm lost as to where to go next. Since there's no Walkthrough, any chance you could perhaps e-mail me what to do next?"
I went to the Tavern and got past the bookcase and down to the old stage, but i can't figure out what to do next. I tried to talk to some invisible thing in the room, but nothing. I don't even know what the purpose of the invisible thing is (and the thing is sort of stuck in the wall anyway.) If you don't want to post the info, maybe you could send it in an email.

Ah....Sorry about that. The problem lies in that originally, the poor fated lass was set to plot so she couldn't meet such an untimely demise. I got a lot of feedback saying (very rightly) this made the combat a little silly, so I 'unplotted' her. Hence, if the Baronness does meet her maker, you're .... stuck. I should probably have scripted this differently.
Hope you are enjoying it nevertheless,
Gil.

You might get a kick out of this. I played your module with a Neutral Evil Rogue, so part of the way through (trying to play in character) i killed the Baronness and took her key. Let's just say it doesn't work well without the Baronness. :)
I'm going to try and go back and play without killing her (or her little henchmen buddies either.)

Hey, thanks all for your feedback. I'm chuffed people are still playing it.
Mmmm ... treasure is a hard thing to balance. I agree that I don't think I got it quite right. This is where a DM can be *very* useful in adding or taking away treasure.
Glad you enjoyed it,
Gilthonym.

This is a well-made and often enjoyable dungeon-crawl style mod. The NPC characters weren't really fleshed out, and there really wasn't much roleplaying, but the exploration sections were often enjoyable. Overall I think this mod didn't always hold together as tightly as it could, which isn't great for such a linear story. Recommended for dungeon crawlers, maybe not for role-players. Good work by the author regardless!

Good mod with a good story :)
The effects and scripts work well on the whole. We encounter just one weird thing in a save when the exit portal in the treasure room has disappeared :-?
For the level required, the fights are well balanced but the treasures in the end are a bit disappointing. Nothing of interest and not much cash.
I give it a "9,5" ;)

Hey Michi, thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you had fun playing the game.
Yeah, I'd like it to be longer too, but even this short, it took me months to make and then several more months to iron out the many bugs (with the help of a lot of player feedback, I may add.)
I don't know how others manage to make quality longer modules, but my hat goes off to them.
Happy playing,
Gil.

I downloaded this last night, and got to the end earlier. Needless to say, I had a blast. This is the first time I've seriously used a henchman, and I quite enjoyed having to watch out for her well-being as well as mine. Also loved the puzzles, especially that devious logic puzzle. I love logic puzzles. :)
My only complaint would be that it's too short, but there's some excellent replay value there.

Hi Ashley,
Since the answer to your question contained spoilers, I emailed it to you.
Let me know if you still have problems with the puzzle.
