The Nature Of A Man is the second module in a two part series. The first being 'In The Footsteps Of Dante' which took you through areas of a Dante like hell and combined the theme of Dantes hell with a followup story to the great Planescape Torment computer game. It is not essential that you have played the first in the series but it is recommended. The Nature Of A Man is for characters of levels 18 and up of good alignment. (Neutral or evil characters can play the module but there are no particularly evil paths through the game to follow.) The module itself is rather linear and story based although there are opportunities for combat in various areas. There are four potential henchman to choose from. (You may only choose one and there are reasons for this.)
Just came back to download the modules again - my laptop went buggy and i had to reinstall everything from scratch. Now I have a real time backup running every 15 minutes in the background! I did get Planescape for my PC and it won't run - keeps giving me a cryptic error message! You had me all hot to play the real game! I will pick a gamer's brain one of these days, I guess. Still love the mods! _________________________ Myth: we have to save the earth. Frankly, the earth doesn't need to be saved. Nature doesn't give a hoot if human beings are here or not. Well, I did another replay with Annah and ran through the end, and ran all three endings. I preferred the nobility of sacrifice, Annah's or mine, over condemning the Nameless Man. I will move the Mods from my Mac to my PC tomorrow and see if it plays better or worse there. I enjoyed this enough that I have decided to chase down a copy of the decade old Planescape Torment for my PC! I am always ready to try something new!! Good job! _________________________ Myth: we have to save the earth. Frankly, the earth doesn't need to be saved. Nature doesn't give a hoot if human beings are here or not. Just ran up to the Pillar of Skulls with Grace, and there is no conversation... It still says we need to talk, but the talk icon just brings my character half into the pillar without any conversation... Grrr _________________________ Myth: we have to save the earth. Well, two bugs at this moment... Annah is still a Balor or whatever and we are the Pillar of Skulls, and it says I need to talk, but when I get to it and find a skull with a talk link, nothing happens... Grrr I still love the feel of this, and I may just redplay to this point with another henchman! I love this. _________________________ Myth: we have to save the earth. good followup, if a little buggy in spots _________________________ Myth: we have to save the earth. Frankly, the earth doesn't need to be saved. After years I´ve finally become able to play this trough, and have to say I love it, great follow-up of PS:T, really a masterpiece. And a very moving, albeit evil ending, with the character taking the seat. _________________________ Fa´get id!

Same problem with the "backtonormal" script... still too big to fight with daggers

Nice mod so far, but I encountered a few problems in Praxis Castle. First I couldn't reach/open the door to the lower levels. I got the key and the dragon fiend lets me pass, but every time ((except once)) I try to reach and open the door I'm "teleported" back in front of the dragon fiend and the door stays closed. Secondly I have the same problem like many others and my char won't turn back from his Balor form. Via "SetAppearance" I turned him back to his elven form, but it seems that it only changed his appearance. Every time I try to equip a dagger I get the line "You're too big for this weapon". Any better solution than changing only his appearance? Or is there some point at which the char changes back automaticly, which I missed?

A worthy successor to its prequel. I really liked it. More dialog options which was an improvement, I actually felt that I could contribute to the story, the plot was excellent, the characters unique and the music just WOW :). I can't get out of my head the inn-song . Some problems I encountered: when loading my save of the ego area, my henchman started to attack my icon which turned hostile on me. Had to load a previous save. Some journal entries stayed unfinished, like the one with Nordon(?) and the souls, although I got the xp. Maybe they stayed that way as a reminder, I don't know. Other than that everything worked out just fine. The end was great. It made me think hard before reaching a decision. And i felt reluctant to see the other two endings cause I didn't want to be affected and change my mind. The story really moved me, I wish it lasted longer. A well deserved 10.

Now we're talkin'! The sequel is even better than In The Footsteps of Dante and is more than worthy to carry on the Planescape: Torment legacy. Again, fans of PS:T will not be disappointed. This is obviously a labour of love by a fellow fan of that game and the Planescape setting. The dialogue was obviously more proof-read this time than in the last game. I detected very few errors and was in general quite pleased with the dialogue options. There are some scripting problems explained in comments below. I look forward to seeing an updated version of the mod uploaded with those problems fixed. P.S. If you do update it, adding CEP 2.0 would be greatly appreciated. You might be able to improve on the Annah and Fall-From-Grace models too.
