The Nature Of A Man is the second module in a two part series. The first being 'In The Footsteps Of Dante' which took you through areas of a Dante like hell and combined the theme of Dantes hell with a followup story to the great Planescape Torment computer game. It is not essential that you have played the first in the series but it is recommended. The Nature Of A Man is for characters of levels 18 and up of good alignment. (Neutral or evil characters can play the module but there are no particularly evil paths through the game to follow.) The module itself is rather linear and story based although there are opportunities for combat in various areas. There are four potential henchman to choose from. (You may only choose one and there are reasons for this.)
Very nice mod ! I liked it as I liked part1. Oh ! And the use of one of my favorite Star Trek episodes was a good surprise. Thank you Beerfish for this tribute to Planescape Torment. I've just found one bug : SPOILER I don't get at the end the answer to the question : what can change the nature of a man ? Ok just kidding :) 42 ? hmm no, that won't fit.

So is this going to be updated to fix the Balor change? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them. Thanks, Steve

Answered your request via the email you sent me Ryujin.

I played this through and I liked it a lot, even if the ending is rather lose-lose for a very good aligned character =p Anyway, you don't get many extra planar modules (Along with ITFoD), and I don't think it'd take a great deal of tweaking to get it to work with multiple players. I'd really like to take my party through this, so I'm wondering if you'd mind me editting some of the scripts to account for multiple players, and if you wanted a copy after?

Negatives:maze puzzle tiresome-did nothing to enhance story; needed to import uber character to defeat Praxis-my lesser pc was killed by death spells even though wearing a belt of guiding light Positives: no tech glitches, fascinating story

Beerfish, the console command didn't do anything. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them. Thanks, Steve

I really loved playing this mod, there were a few spelling errors, but that didn't detract from the playing experience at all, and thought the storyline was wonderful. One gripe... that horrid maze! Fun, but also rather frustrating and annoying, I was cursing you then :p

I finally figured out what was going wrong with the Balor change and with community help have scripts that will solve the problem. I'll run through both modules in the not too distant future and fix that problem. In the mean time to get your chracter back to normal do the following: In the script editor create the following script and name it backtonormal. Save the module you create it in and start up the module. Then us the dm console command dm_runscript backtonormal and it should change you back to your normal appearance. Then save your character. (I am assuming you know how to access the dm console, if not let me know.) void main() { object oPC = GetFirstPC(); SetCreatureAppearanceType(oPC, GetRacialType(oPC)); }

Well, now I need a scripting line to change my character back because even when saved, she's still a balor in a new module. And you gotta fix the skeletons as well. You destroy them, you're stuck there for life. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them. Thanks, Steve

I'll have to look into it again, the henchman inventory stuff gave me problems from day one. I'll try and fix those 1st two things. The books are not a problem, there is no rational reason to attack them or destroy them. When I look at those other problems perhaps I'll make the books plot but there comes a time in these adventures that if you do the wrong thing form no good reason you should have to pay the price. (See most of Gary Gygax's modules.)
