Arandie is a young elven assassin living in a large city of Misdahl. Her life goes on day by day, until one fairly ordinary mission changes everything. This is a story-based module, bearing closer resemblance to an adventure game than a CRPG. There is combat, but most of it can (and should) be avoided. There is a main quest to be followed, but there are also many subquests to make the world feel more real and alive. This is a grey world, nothing is black and white. It is also a large world, and the time it takes to finish the game depends a lot on how many sidequests you want to try. The story has some very serious undertones, yet there is room for warmth and humor as well. Contains scenes and hints of oppressive violence and sexual situations, of which the 'adult' stuff can be pretty much bypassed altogether by picking the correct choices in the correct places.

This is a 2002 module! Not to be forgotten before any rating. Two things which almost prevented me to keep playing it: Too much walking and too much empty and large maps. ?pity, as it?s quite an interesting module. So get quickly yourself some « speed » equipment (hasted belt but with a - 4 AC malus) but not the boots, as your gear is almost the same from beginning to end... which I found very relaxing! Harri Polsa wrote it in his very personal way, not the standard NWN one, and you could sometimes finished a quest without even knowing... you were already working on it for years... It?s a take it or leave it situation. The problem with that kind of writing is... it could get yourself bored quite fast. I?m not an easy NWN quitter but I?m afraid... I?m just about to become one today. It?s been very interesting playing a module which doesn?t go by the xps, the levels, the alignment and the equipment as the only things which matter in life. A more realistic PC, not a fashionista for a change. And as I said, I found that very, very, and very interesting... Only, on a specific player point of view, I can?t vote here. _________________________ @ + jml, level 52 "Overgod? Still one of my all time favorite mods - I find something new to do every time I play.

Are you still working on a NWN 2 module HtP? Just curious. Thanks.

Got bored after about A COUPLE OF HOURS. Not my proverbial cup of tea. Dislike playing a pregenerated char as I did not have an equivalent 10th lvl elf to play from my previous char collection. Too much walking, too much having to sneak past WC after you upset them - that got to be tedious.
