Description
Camshire, city of ancient soul and murderous heart. A metropolis shackled in the grip of wrought-iron tyranny. Within its groaning walls and weeping alleys lies a hurtful thing. The taunting whisper of promise. A sketchy portait of hope. And who will voice that whisper, whose portrait will grace that deliverer's canvas? You? Will you flounder in your humble origins, scraping like a listless knife through the urban gloom? Or will you make a thrall of change, thrusting your reprisal down the throats of the oppressors? Dare you brave the Threat of Dreams?

One very overlooked yet fantastic module, bravo GhostFactory.
Camshire really felt like a genuine city, the music choices added a lot to the atmosphere, and by far the most thrilling module I've played.

*clap clap clap* Very well done! Great area design, and perfect atmosphere. The story was truly captivating, and I loved the twists! I don't easily vote a perfect ten, but this one really deserves it. Almost couldn't believe this was your first module!
Off to download part II, can't wait to play that one as well :) _________________________ "By believing, one can see"

Very atmospheric city-based mod. No complains except I wished he had finished the trilogy.

This was great! I had a blast playing the module, and I can't wait to start playing the second part of the series. Thank you!

A most enjoyable romp, lots of background information in all the custom books that can be found and a simple plot that soon gets complicated, ideal for a 1st level thief though with a few situations where you need to avoid fighting. For the diehard fighting machines there are a couple of fights you must take on and they are not necessarily easy.
The only drawback really was the length, I could of carried on for days longer, but there is always part 2!

Just finished this and it's top notch. The camera work is excellent, the plot actually has surprises, and the atmosphere is perfect. The attention to detail is impressive as well. The only bug I found was that I apparently kept the doll the old woman was cradling even though the conversation indicated that I gave it back. I can't add much to what has already been said, but this is definitely a must-play module. It was so engaging I hardly felt the time pass!
Though it looks like he's not around here anymore, I still hope Ghostfactory will make more mods in the future! Can't wait to play ToD2.

PROs:
* Great atmosphere, evoked by story, sound and visuals - eerie and gripping!
* Sombre and mysterious world, highly recommended to fans of the Planescape setting
* Interesting background-story with passion for details, e.g. a lot of custom-created books
* Professionally written
* All in all, a lot of creativity and imagination in this
CONs:
* The handling of quests was not always clear and satisfying, there were some phases in the game where I was a bit lost, where I didn't know what I was supposed to do to move on with the story. To be fair, I have to add that quest entries are detailed and well-written in general.
Although I liked it a lot there was something in the gameplay and the execution of the story I can't quite point my finger on (might have to do with the journal, as mentioned above) that was still a few steps away from perfection, unlike those highly polished mods that deserve a score above 9.5. Anyway, don't get me wrong, it's a great, ingenious mod and I recommend everyone to play it!
Although Part 2 contains still more fun ideas and puzzles, I love the dark story in this one, so it gets the same vote.
Thanks, GhostFactory! I hope I'll get to play Part 3 some day.

Great module to start a rogue with, a plot and a world that really sucked me in and into the sequel! Great that it was possible to do some non quest related freelance thieving around town too.I`d say it`s very replayable too!

Outstanding module. Excellent story well supported by the NPCs and the overall atmosphere of the setting. Solid craftsmanship, though the chairs in the underground dining hall faced away from the table for some reason.

I so loved that story! Highly chaoticly brained... if one can say such a thing. In english I mean...
If you want to try " for real " once in your life that very special " minded " place of some of your most unexplainable daytime nightmares, somewhere you're not even sure where and who you are... that's the story to play.
Great for RPing as well. Almost real. Funny henchies!
That story tells something by its end I've been hearing all my life... from between my ears. That won't change I suppose, only it might get a little lighter from now on. :-)
And I'm very grateful one thought of writing a human tale out of it.
Again, my thanks. Along with my 10. _________________________ @ + jml, level 52

Something is wrong as I cannot move the plot along after starting the investigations of the three crime scenes.
I've started over three times now and follwed the walkthru to the letter and when I walk into the inn, Umberto keeps giving me the same speech about investigating the orphenage and the sewers. I do not get the suprise attack that is supposed to happen next. I've been to each place numerous times.

Wow, this was just great in all kinds of ways!
Most importantly, the plot was twisty and fascinating,
kept me glued to the screen for the duration.
Man, just the name of this mod sounds spooky. Heheh, can't wait to play... _________________________ So what if I tied Billy's legs to the flag pole and handed him a hacksaw and told him he had 5 minutes to find a cure for the anthrax I put in his milk.
Ummm...one question.... why is it rated mature? _________________________ So what if I tied Billy's legs to the flag pole and handed him a hacksaw and told him he had 5 minutes to find a cure for the anthrax I put in his milk.

Very nice mod. Dark, creepy, reminiscent of James Tiptree Jr's Morality Meat. I'm playing TOD2 now and enjoying that as well. Chis is very talented and I'm assuming we haven't seen another in the series is because some professional game developer have snatched him up.

Beautifully atmospheric, very immersive environment. Story is creative, creepy, and serves as a great lead-in to the series. If you dig playing a rogue, can handle a slowly developing character, and enjoy looking forward to the what's behind the next corner of a story arc, then this module will suit you wonderfully!

Very impressive. I'm not really a fan of rogue-centric modules (I stopped playing two others that I tried because I couldn't get into them), but this one kept me interested. The story was compelling, the NPCs interesting, and well-written dialogue that actually had the character saying believable things. The setting was nicely developed, the story was-well plotted, the puzzles were interesting instead of frustrating, and they fit naturally into the story, and the cut-scenes were well placed. Excellent job!

What a cool little module. :) Great atmosphere, compelling story with interesting plot twists and nice opportunties to roleplay. Only problem was the journal seemed a bit wonky and didn't update properly.

*Ghostfactory,
This is some excellent work indeed! I really liked it! Both the sidequests & the dark backstory and plot-twist made this module really enjoyable. Downloading part 2 as we speak ... :)

Loved it. The custom content was great, and the story compelling enough that I finished this in in two days despite homework and other distractions. Perfect for satisfying the urge to be sneaky. Thanks!

Nice module. I like the "Thief" approach and it's dark really dark. It's also nice being poor for once and not spending thousands gps.
