If you are playing The Light Reborn (TLR) as a series, this is part 3. However, it can be played standalone. If you are just playing the HoF modules, this is the module that got into he HoF. A shadow has fallen across the world of Harthe. The arrival of a man, named Samuel, claiming to be a Veranite -- the lost race of kings blessed by the Creator of Harthe with divine power -- causes a stir in the country of Anvid. Could he really be a Veranite? Does he serve the Light, as he says, or is he a deceiver? Samuel gathers heroes across the land to do the will of the Virtues -- the spirits of good that he claims to talk to. You are one such hero. But the power of the Dark does not stand still. Who can resist it? You're on your way to Anvid city to hunt down a Servant of Solanor named Tarnn. Having proven your friendship to The Children (i.e. elves) you now have been granted access to their realm. Your group will pass into the realm of The Children - the first non-elves in centuries!
Great module! Excellent story and unique, sometimes hilarious, side-quests. Great cut scenes. I didn't observe much interaction with the henchmen (they seemed to be little more than meat-shields in my experience), but the other NPCs were a lot of fun to talk to. Very tight, clean area design. I didn't have to run around a lot, but you still gave the impression of travelling distances where necessary. Beautiful elven city. *Extremely* challenging fights for my Wizard-6; I had to resort to a lot of reloading and "run away to split them up" tactics, but it was not as overwhelming as chapter 2 was. Thanks for the ring of invisibility; it made my fireballs much more effective!

The henchmen bug is fixed in the current version. However, if they die while not in your employ, they stay dead. This is the Bioware default behavior and I don't want to change it because every time Bioware changes the henchmen something serious breaks. By using their default behavior I'm hoping to avoid this problem.

Thank you for responding so quickly!! :) Well it looks like there is a bug then, as I did check the quarters.. for both of them... and they weren't there. Hehe.. I started this mod as a cleric 15/fighter 2.... Looks like I might not regret it after all! :) I thought it was going to be way to easy... but I don't think it will be.. judging from the fights that I've been through so far.. Eeeeeeeeeek! :)

dublon, Henchmen, if they die in your service, respawn back at your quarters. However, the current build may have a bug where they don't respawn. So you may be on your own. I'll get a fix out soon. The whole Henchman respawn has been broken for a while due to Bioware script changes. It seems like if it isn't one thing, it's another with the poor henchmen.

Great Mod so far, but I do have a question. I've lost 2 henchmen so far: Joshua and Rebecca, so I'm now left with Shane. My question.. are the henchmen gone for good, or have I missed something in the readme about henchmen dying... I'm at the bottom of the ruins and I think I'll need some help..so if I lose Shane... Oh oh................... :)

Blackthorn, SPOILERS You should talk to SharLet and ask about who went into the woods. Then follow up her lead and talk to the next person, etc, until you have more info to take to the sherif. Also, did you ask Niro about the dagger? Who did he say he lent it to?

Looking for advice to continue. Spoiler?s small The quest to find the murder of Annsen is at a stuck position for me. I can?t persuade any town folk to give information have low charisma and very low persuade. Have found promise amulet (Un-inscribed) in cocoons outside town, Journal at campsite outside town, Journal pages and (Niro?s dagger) on Annsen?s body outside town, Journal in Annsen?s room, Jeweler did testify that it was a promise amulet bought as a pair. The sheriff has acknowledged all of this but wants more, no one else will say anymore and all persuade checks are auto fails. Thinking of giving the town a once over and give them a few good reason to hate humans what else is needed this is frustrating. The read me says I need three of the six clues I got more then that and still nothing. Blackthorn

Enjoyed this mod better than the first two in the series, although they were very good.Really liked the use of cut-scenes.
