Demon follows immediately after the Dreamcatcher campaign. You and your companion have married and have mostly retired from a life of adventure. You live in a small cabin in the Sword Coast region, taking care of a new addition to your family. Place in your /neverwinternights/nwn/modules/ folder to play. There's an optional Demon0 module if you'd like to purchase special equipment from the Shadowlords/Dreamcatcher campaigns.
Hi, it's me again. I may as well post because I seem to get nothing but problems out of this mod. The sad part is that I really liked where it was going and I really really want to give this a go and continue, but I'm not sure I should. I just tried the arena and bought the chicken to fight. Only when the Kennel Master tells me the chicken's name, the name is left out of the dialouge. In the window above the quickslots I see this string: Script d1_kennelmast_a1, OID: 80000358, Tag: KennelMaster, ERROR: STACK UNDERFLOW Yeah, that looks real promising. And then I get this weird dialogue when I enter my chicken. 1. 1 2. 0 3. name of your god What the hell does that mean?! I have know idea, and you know what, it really doesn't matter, because when I select one, my chicken goes in to fight, the gates close and it has nothing to fight and nothing happens. I noticed a couple comments further down (from 2007) had the same problem. Sadly, no advice was offered to answer to those issues. My hat's off to them, because it seems they carried on in spite of this problem. I guess I'll try to do the same (though I'm not sure that I should). It's a very good story, and Shadow Lords and Dream Catcher were great, so maybe if I get over this (very annoying) hump, I can enjoy the mod w/o further issues. _________________________ I'll tell you all my secrets but I lie about my past

I am having some problems that I'm hoping I can get some help with. I haven't seen anything regarding this in the first few pages of comments here or in the Read Me. Here they are. 1. My henchman only very temporarily responds to my commands when there are enemies nearby. So if I want to sneak by and enemy... or just run like hell and avoid a fight, the "Follow Me" command work only for a few seconds, and then the henchie decides they want to fight the enemy creature. Now matter how many times I issue the command, this keeps happening. 2. I'm getting some kind of weird custom content issues with some things. I first noticed it at the beginging with the Tainted chained up with your character. Mousing over him, his name was something weird like some sort of code in brackets and all caps. I think it said something about custom content. I also have the same issue when asking people on the streets for work. There were two delivery jobs and they said to deliver [CUSTOM_BLAHBLAH] to [CUSTOM_YADDA-YADDA]. I don't recall exactly what it was, but it was something similar to that. At any rate, it prevent me from performing those tasks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. _________________________ I'll tell you all my secrets but I lie about my past

Somehow I find the story of this game cannot get me interested. Perhaps the map is not big enough. Or perhaps there are too many small quests which seem to be trivial and unrelated that keeps get me distracted. One is the card game and the other is the gate diver. After doing these two things I found that I am not interested to go on with the story anymore. The score I give is a vote for the creativity. But the story is not very interested to me.

I loved the look. I played a lot of modules and was getting tired of the sameness of the look. This was very different. Great. Nice bit of Planescape Homage here. Especially with tattoos I had from my lady. Lots of Unique items. Made this feel very fresh. ***SPOILERS*** ***** Really - Don't read if you haven't finished **** A little annoyance at the life stripping and needing to re-level. Getting my gear all back was overwhelming as I had a lot of junk and new junk. I think I spent a long time trying to manage this. I think I would rather not have gotten it... almost. I don't know if it was a glitch, but I met the Lord, he left and I went to talk to my Son. Then my lady gave me the option to end the module (green highlighted ends module). Apparently it could have been over. But I wanted to take a look around, only to be confronted the other baddy and led on a breathless chase with numerous turnabouts. Planned or holdover from the earlier ending. Either way it was a nice head fake. Unfortunately I didn't save at that point to see what would have happened if I did end it there. Card game: Not my cup of tea, glad it wasn't mandatory. Clearly a lot of work went into this so kind of sad it was wasted on me. Same with the Arena. Didn't even look. Wondered about potential betrayal by my son, him not showing up seemed to suprise bad guy at end, maybe just because he got killed in the final battle. I got annoyed by my henchwoman getting herself killed in almost every fight. Anyway. Very good overall. Very different from the run of the mill.

I played this mod a few years ago, and wanted to replay it. And stumbled on a problem for the life of me I can't remember where to find that crystalline statue, I've searched that ice ridden map 3 times over and still can't find it. Can someone help me with some hints???

I'm sorry but I'm not as impressed as I was by the dreamcatcher modules. The romance is tweaked up to "syrupy", complete with soap-opera sound track, and the creature fighting and portal diving were buggy in multiplayer. Otherwise technically well done and very creative. We gave it a third chance yesterday but gave up when one of us got stuck in a robot in the techno-plane. Lots of really good stuff in this one but it fails at playability.

clinthodo, play the mod further and all is explained. your XP loss is due to external forces and you WILL get it back. As for no XP for kills, it is actually implemented very well in this module... its not like you have a lot of FETCH quests... quests involve a lot of fighting... its just that rather then keeping tab on weather you slaughtered every individual, or penalizing you for sparing a single enemy, you get XP for the whole quest... Quests include slaughtering entire schools of martial artists or entire bands of brigands. _________________________ I do not have a superman complex; for I am God, not Superman!

Didn't finish yet but thought I'd say a couple things for others new to the mod. 1) in the von Klaus area - the ox head and offering bowl on the second floor and the magically sealed door on the first floor - are all for show so don't bother trying to do any thing special with them. I wasted loads of time until I opened the mod to look. Also von Klaus is very tough but once i killed him he gave up no items so that was another waste of time and aggravation. Many of the battles in this mod are way too tough - maybe I'm doing something wrong, i don't know but it's taking a long time and alot of dying. Even without perm death its still wise to save often. That's the bad news, the good news is the nice tile sets, music and scripting, and there were at least a few puzzles that had me thinking.
