Description
While travelling through an unfamiliar land, on your way from one campaign to the next, you come across a dying, mutilated innocent. There is obviously turmoil in this land. A hero may come to its aid, while others may find opportunity to gain wealth and power from its inhabitants that are at once strange, malicious, and desperate.
While the areas were detailed and well-visualized, the story is uninteresting and there is nothing that really draws us into the plotline as player characters. For most of the module, I was bored, and it had nothing to do with the difficulty level of the combats. Perhaps the "main quest" of this module would do better as a sidequest in a larger module since it doesn't offer enough to constitute a model on its own.

I really enjoyed this module but got stuck at the end and could not complete it properly. I will probalby have to replay with a Neutral/Evil Character as strictly Good character may get stuck at some point. * Spoiler * Played Robin Hood style sneaking everywhere and speaking with most NPCs. Was trying the redemption path (forgiveness is the key). Near the end however, while trying to save the Mage, my character tried to speak to the "Big Boss" (did not trust the "lady)". Could not defeat him and according to journal was trying to find a way to send him back but neither the Mage nor the Monk offered any advice. Closing the portal did not send him back so he must be roaming the land destroying eveything.

Well done though a little short.

Interesting setting and plot, with nice use of CEP items especially the giant left hand in the temple, although the NPCs could be developed a bit further. My druid7/shifter3/fighter2 appreciated the various opportunities to preserve the balance, without requiring to fight her way through every encounter. I noticed a few typos (deathbirnger, stange mushroom), and some dialog inconsistencies. In particular, Grushenka and the gnome wizard should have dialog options acknowledging that the PC might have met the hag's sister and Svetlana, the gnome's ally, before meeting them.

Fine and not-too-short roleplaying module.

A very impressive package you've put together for us. Perfect atmospheric touches (smoggy and weird lighting, houses with doors ajar, etc) really gives you the "something'swrongiwannaleavemommy?'" feelings.

I loved the wide range of factions, from individuals through families and tribes to large organizations; each with their own objectives. It made the world feel marvellously complex. And the layers were rewarding; I'm *pretty* sure I finally got to the root of things, but it took a while.
