Description
Yes, you have done it! As a lowly recruit in the bowels of Tyr's Temple, you have strove onward facing unthinkable obstacles. You have gathered ancient artifacts. You have uncovered an extraordinary plan. This Source Stone would allow the rise of the Old Ones, not just throughout all of Faerûn, but across many dimensions! What?! Kapow! Morag is defeated, and Ka-Boom, the Source Stone is neutralized, the multiverse is spared the onslaught of the Old Ones. The Word Slave, Haedraline is overcome with joy, and she gives you a happy dance. Oh great defender of worlds, you have done it! Now you can, WHAT?!?!? What can I do now! All I can do is a little two-step with Haedraline?!?! I want to get back to Castle Never and I demand to see Aribeth!!! Upgrades made possible with the support from Flamewielder, Overmind, Sagard and many other helpful contributors.
Assumptions/Presumptions on player perspective. This module series mainly focuses on Aribeth and the player character's developing relationship. It is a module that is geared to those player characters, such as my own, that were attentive to Aribeth in the official campaign.
It is a ROMANCE, there is no friendship storyline for male or female player characters, that would be an entirely different storyline and module.
Aribeth's Revival is a niche module that is devoted to following a specific storyline that was present in the Official Campaign.
It is for those of us that acquired the necessary evidence that suggested that she should be shown mercy and those who entered the Source Stone with a hopeful outlook after having a positive dialogue with prisoner Aribeth; regarding your mutual/shared feelings.
I make the assumption that a significant relationship had developed over the span of many months where the PC and Aribeth spent many hours, days, weeks, etc., in close contact. I emphasize this because if you don't, or are unwilling to view the modules from this perspective, then they probably won't be something you'd want to download.
Please vote at the non-CEP page. I don't want this module appearing on the Top Modules list when the other one is already there! Non-CEP Vault page
CEP.tlk in a zip compressed file. Just unzip the .tlk file into your NWN/tlk folder. This file is only necessary if you are using the CEP 1.52, you should have it already if you are set up with the original hak. The new CEP 2.0 does not require this file.
HAK FILE ONLY!! --- AribethRev1_CEP.rar contains an updated CEP hak (as of Jan 28th, 2006) to try to consolidate Aribeth's Armor piece. YOU DO NOT NEED THIS FILE IF YOU ARE DOWNLOADING THE CEP 2.0 version, it is only for the 1.52/1.66 version!
Aribeth's Revival CEP v1.52/NWN patch 1.66 RAR - Now with the updated hak to consolidate Aribeth's Armor. This is an older version, but it should be more stable if you are still using patch 1.66 and if you have the original CEP 1.52.
Not a necessary file, for experienced users. Zip contains the m4gameover.erf for the CEP version. It will allow you to edit Chapter 4 of the Official Campaign so that, instead of ending the game, it will start Aribeth's Revival CEP version.
This is Aribeth's Revival built with CEP 2.0 and patch 1.68, posted Feb. 29th, 2008. This is the most up to date CEP module. It hasn't been tested, but I don't think there should be any issues. The compressed zip package also contains the required HAK file and the generic music hak file. If you want custom music, then you still need to go to the download page and get the music files and the hak.
Kul att du håller förfädrernas språk levande då. This is fun, now that I've succeded to install a Mod and play and it actually works for me, I might give it a shot to create my own, and find more Mods to play. I tried a couple of years ago but didn't really know what I was doing so it didn't work ofcourse. I fancy making something based on Robert Jordans Wheel of Time... heh but realising to do that I would never finish. I reckon it would be something like 500 hours of gameplay and several thousends of hacking... lets start small ehh... _________________________ I find television very educating. Pegueng The CEP is just a large collection of material that has been provided here, at the Vault. All the various models, textures, creatures, placeables, armors, weapons, etc. I didn't really place many new and/or different items in the CEP version of the modules, it just is here, mainly, for players to use their own customized player characters who are using items from the CEP package. If you want your PC to wear a certain armor and carry a certain weapon that is in the CEP, then you can do it in this module. If you don't care, then you might as well play the non-CEP module. Thanks mate. That did the trick, I believe that I mixed CEP and non CEP files and messed up the different Readme's and update versions. You're not swedish by any chance? Borta bra, men hemma bäst... on the teleportal runestone. And some cursing about Odins beard :) I've only succeded with part 1. Soon I'll try to install the Interlude and part 2. By the way, what are the differences between a CEP pak and a non CEP (i.e. What does it mean with a Community expansion pack) Great MOD anyhow. pegueng, Since you are new to this, you might want to try to non-CEP modules. They are little bit easier to get working. If you take time to follow the readme file I posted, you should be able to get things going. I'd suggest that you try the non-CEP, follow the readmes, and come back with specific questions if you still can't get it working. It isn't too difficult, once you take a moment to sort things out.

I've tried to put the modules, hak's, bmu's and even a tlk file in their proper folders but when I try to start Ari's Rev. I get an error mess about "Caanot load module, missing required talk table"?? Anyone please point me in the right direction. _________________________ I find television very educating. Auldian, While I was playtesting the difficulty, I really enjoyed the sense of urgency while using the limited starter gear and scarce supplies. It wasn't overly difficult, as those two encounters were yet to be included. I imagine that you'd be ok if I removed those two tougher fights, as it was when I was testing it out using starter gear. I think the majority of people tend to use their official campaign gear with their NWN PCs, rather than starting a new character from scratch, so I haven't had much feedback in that regard. The module is set up to distinguish a new PC vs. a high level PC, so I could arrange some unique loot for those who have chosen to start from scratch. As for the questing and journal concerns you mentioned previously... I see this module as a transition module, primarily intended to provide a more in depth resolution to the inter-personal relationship between the PC and Aribeth that had developed in the NWN OC campaign. You will see this as you make your way to the end of this module. This module can be tacked on to the ending of the OC, using the modified script I posted, so I felt the adventuring or questing had already been presented in the OC and this is more of a conclusion to that entire campaign... However, I do also want to develop the springboard to further adventuring or questing and that is where I am at nowadays as I contemplate part III. The journal entries should be there, I think they should help nudge you along.

I went in with a new character. I burned a lot of money early on trying to cure disease (ghouls, always up outside the city) and in NWN a successful cure is usually followed immediately by a new failed save. I had the bow with my ranger and outfitted Ari to tank. I could help keep her healed and assist on her targets. I used a charmed bear for a bit but they die quickly. The fight in the secret tunnel I could plan for with traps, so it was just 2 on 1 by the time the miniboss was engaged. The Doom Knight feared both of us on my 1st try, finis. The 2nd and 3rd time I arrived with clarity potions and still got carved up, both of us just not having enough AC to avoid the melee; only some kind of swordsman's belts might have helped. I can see where balancing this for both new level 1 players and imported 'toons with gear would be impossible. I think you did a good job. I'll try it another time with a fighter and move Ari out to ranged.

Auldian, Yeah, you're right about the scarcity of loot and there is only one merchant on the streets of Neverwinter where you might be able to get better gear. I built it and tested it as a Paladin, with Aribeth as ranged attack, using the +1 bow that is in the Windmill Hut. It was difficult, using only the starter gear and the 500 gold that you get from Aarin. After patch 1.29 or so, level restrictions came off the gear, so now people were coming into the module with their NWN PCs and all of their collected loot at their disposal. People then said it was too easy, so I added a couple encounters of the more difficult side, one in the secret passage out of the Neverwinter Dungeon and one after the death of Master Ford. Were you unable to survive that battle? I assume that is what you meant. Two rangers in that tough melee might be too difficult. Did you start with a fresh character at level 1 or did you have your NWN PC? Most players take the liberty of using their NWN OC gear or at least selling an item for more gold to stock up on potions or items. I probably should include more loot, since your situation is probably not unique.
