Description
Yes, you have done it! As a lowly recruit in the bowels of Tyr's Temple, you have strove onward facing unthinkable obstacles. You have gathered ancient artifacts. You have uncovered an extraordinary plan. This Source Stone would allow the rise of the Old Ones, not just throughout all of Faerûn, but across many dimensions! What?! Kapow! Morag is defeated, and Ka-Boom, the Source Stone is neutralized, the multiverse is spared the onslaught of the Old Ones. The Word Slave, Haedraline is overcome with joy, and she gives you a happy dance. Oh great defender of worlds, you have done it! Now you can, WHAT?!?!? What can I do now! All I can do is a little two-step with Haedraline?!?! I want to get back to Castle Never and I demand to see Aribeth!!! Upgrades made possible with the support from Flamewielder, Overmind, Sagard and many other helpful contributors.
Assumptions/Presumptions on player perspective. This module series mainly focuses on Aribeth and the player character's developing relationship. It is a module that is geared to those player characters, such as my own, that were attentive to Aribeth in the official campaign.
It is a ROMANCE, there is no friendship storyline for male or female player characters, that would be an entirely different storyline and module.
Aribeth's Revival is a niche module that is devoted to following a specific storyline that was present in the Official Campaign.
It is for those of us that acquired the necessary evidence that suggested that she should be shown mercy and those who entered the Source Stone with a hopeful outlook after having a positive dialogue with prisoner Aribeth; regarding your mutual/shared feelings.
I make the assumption that a significant relationship had developed over the span of many months where the PC and Aribeth spent many hours, days, weeks, etc., in close contact. I emphasize this because if you don't, or are unwilling to view the modules from this perspective, then they probably won't be something you'd want to download.
Please vote at the non-CEP page. I don't want this module appearing on the Top Modules list when the other one is already there! Non-CEP Vault page
CEP.tlk in a zip compressed file. Just unzip the .tlk file into your NWN/tlk folder. This file is only necessary if you are using the CEP 1.52, you should have it already if you are set up with the original hak. The new CEP 2.0 does not require this file.
HAK FILE ONLY!! --- AribethRev1_CEP.rar contains an updated CEP hak (as of Jan 28th, 2006) to try to consolidate Aribeth's Armor piece. YOU DO NOT NEED THIS FILE IF YOU ARE DOWNLOADING THE CEP 2.0 version, it is only for the 1.52/1.66 version!
Aribeth's Revival CEP v1.52/NWN patch 1.66 RAR - Now with the updated hak to consolidate Aribeth's Armor. This is an older version, but it should be more stable if you are still using patch 1.66 and if you have the original CEP 1.52.
Not a necessary file, for experienced users. Zip contains the m4gameover.erf for the CEP version. It will allow you to edit Chapter 4 of the Official Campaign so that, instead of ending the game, it will start Aribeth's Revival CEP version.
This is Aribeth's Revival built with CEP 2.0 and patch 1.68, posted Feb. 29th, 2008. This is the most up to date CEP module. It hasn't been tested, but I don't think there should be any issues. The compressed zip package also contains the required HAK file and the generic music hak file. If you want custom music, then you still need to go to the download page and get the music files and the hak.
Auldian, Yeah, you're right about the scarcity of loot and there is only one merchant on the streets of Neverwinter where you might be able to get better gear. I built it and tested it as a Paladin, with Aribeth as ranged attack, using the +1 bow that is in the Windmill Hut. It was difficult, using only the starter gear and the 500 gold that you get from Aarin. After patch 1.29 or so, level restrictions came off the gear, so now people were coming into the module with their NWN PCs and all of their collected loot at their disposal. People then said it was too easy, so I added a couple encounters of the more difficult side, one in the secret passage out of the Neverwinter Dungeon and one after the death of Master Ford. Were you unable to survive that battle? I assume that is what you meant. Two rangers in that tough melee might be too difficult. Did you start with a fresh character at level 1 or did you have your NWN PC? Most players take the liberty of using their NWN OC gear or at least selling an item for more gold to stock up on potions or items. I probably should include more loot, since your situation is probably not unique.

No loot to speak of to buy supplies or gear. Very few quests, and clues seem really sparse (journal seems barely used). Perhaps "slanted toward paladin" should be read "take only a plate class tank" to have a chance. Ari's a ranger so she's not your tank in this one. Module was cute. The bugs in the author's house were a laugh. I played until Ford died then it was "game over" with 2 rangers.

murdrax, that is strange, does it happen all the time? Is it a potion you can get in the module or did you carry it in from a previous module?

Nothing_Lasts_4eva Unfortunately, there aren't any, besides part I, that work only with NWN. I first made part I when NWN was the only game out... When SoU and HotU came out, I bought them to play them, but that also meant that the Toolset required those expansions. If you only played part I with the NWN requirement, you missed a lot from part I, as I added more content after I had installed SoU and HotU. The only solution is to buy SoU and HotU, and they should be relatively cheap by now? I can't remove SoU and HotU from the modules.

Poecile, I would really like to find a version of Aribeths Revival II and III that works on just NWN alone without the CEP or the SOU HOTU expansions. Can you please help me seen as you are the creator of this absolutely stunning series?? _________________________ Nothing lasts forever... Nothing

Poecile Hey bro just wanna say I absolutely love your work. Aribeths Revival 1 rocks and I absolutely love it. However I have a problem. Where abouts can I get the Aribeths Revival II Mod but the version that will run without SOU HOTU? I have looked everywhere and I can't seem to find it in the vault. I really want to finish the series mate but I cant download a version that works for just NWN of Aribeths Revival II. Also is there and Ari's revival 3?? _________________________ Nothing lasts forever... Nothing

yeah, I know keeping track of all the changes can be a nightmare at times. There's one more comping up 1.69 but with NWN2 out it will be the last I'm sure. incognitus _________________________ "Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mindbogglingly big it is."

incognitus, Thanks for bringing that music hak thing to my attention, I updated various files to try to take care of the issue.

Ok, just to make sure I'm not going nuts I again downloaded the music hak from the link on this page and openned it. It contains the old music hak, the 6.5 kb file dated 03/26/04 for the 1.62 patch. I tried using it again and I can assure you it does not seem to work with "my" 1.68 patched system (whether I was using the cep2 or non-cep version of the module). However, the music hak contained in your most recent non-cep update does work. It is a 9.5 kb file with a date of 1/28/06, which is a for the 1.68 patch. Perhaps its something wierd with my system linux client system, I don't know. incognitus _________________________ "Space is big. Really big.
