I'm definitely not a PNP player, but I found the style of this adventure quite refreshing, and the balance between RP and action just right. The low-magic low-wealth setting was really well done, and is frankly much more realistic than having a 1st level character running around with magic swords and full plate armours. Recommended to everyone.

I'm planning on replaying this tomorrow (5th time? 6th?), but will use the toolset to try and "weld on" the latest CEP. If anyone's curious, I'll post what works and what doesn't. (Shiny metal colored robes are usually a given ... but that's what character customizers are for.)

Glad I could help. I thought exactly like you and had the same trouble. The cep team really should include all the old files in the latest release. This would prevent a lot of frustration.

Thank you Dwayne. I didn't realize that and figured that the most current CEP would contain all the content of the previous versions

This module does not use the latest cep. You have to install the 1.53 cep and the 1.68 update cep for the module to work. The latest cep does not have the right files for this module.

I tried to load up the module and it tells me I am missing a required talk table. Anyone know what I may need to do? I have the .hak file installed in my hak folder and have the latest CEP and updated NWN to 1.69. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Very nice work! I, for one, loved that the PC stayed at level 1 for the entire first chapter. It feels more 'real'. I thought the castle was very interesting and the storyline as a whole made me really want to keep playing the series. I'm getting close to finishing chapter 2 now and will vote on that when I'm done. I am very glad that you added the option to use the original NWN resting/recovery. I think gradual hitpoint recovery is a great idea for hardcore players, but I play games to relax, not to get irritated. So kudos for giving us options, it was a great addition! Thanks for your hard work, great job! _________________________ The less you know, the more you believe.

I forgot... Warnings and spoilers: * * * General: A spellcaster could easily destroy some major plot placables with heavy area spells, 'thinking of the the Lost Shrine of Bordoc in Part IV. So I never met my PC's true mother... ;-) for Part 5 mostly but maybe not only: A couple of triggers are a bit uneasy to fire, if you run a bit fast over them to start some other action maybe, and could leave you with some unfinished quests... 'just remembering that Aegilaus wizard body, part 5, for instance. I hate those area triggers anyway most of the time...) _________________________ @ + jml, level 52 "Overgod?
