---- READ ME ----
---- LONE WOLF CHAPTER 2: MYSTERIES IN THE NIGHT ----

This is the second chapter in my series 'The Chronicles of Lone Wolf', based on the Lone Wolf gamebook series of the '80's.

This module was revised as of 8/7/2005. To play this module, you will need to carry over a character from 'Lone Wolf Chapter 1: Test of the Sun', or create a new character, using the custom Kai Lord class provided with the module. You will also need to make your character Male, and use the name 'Lone Wolf'. This is done for story purposes. Other than that, you are welcome to customize your character as you see fit.

The Kai Lord class grants you one special feat per level from a 'Kai Discipline' feat list. You will have to use this extra feat on the Kai Discipline list. Please refer to the in-game descriptions for the abilities granted from these Kai Disciplines.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at [email protected]

To get the acid damage added to your weapon you must edit a variable, it seems that when you give him the flower it arrives at the state it should be at after you have gotten the upgrade. To get past this give him the flower then copy/paste into the chatbox: ##DebugMode 1 ##dm_setvarint N_ADDED_ITEM_MOD 0 Click on Master Soul Seeker ##DebugMode 0 you should then have the upgrade option when talking to him. A lot of work for 1 acid damage.

Story was fascinating, much better than the first part. But I still can't approve 0 exp. system, like I said when I commented on the first module. (Anyway, I'm pleased that I get the chance to kick Swift Blade ^_^) Thanks and well-done.

The issue with not being able to open in the toolset seems to stem from the LW_Main_2DA.hak if you rename or move it and then take any of your other haks make a copy and give it the same name as the hak you'll be able to open it in the toolset. Not sure what it is about that hak thats causing the issue but you'll probably have to find out if you want to make any changes to the mod. Your best bet is to remove 2das from the hak till you find the one that makes it go boom.

While it is mainly a single storyline module, this is one of the best built stories and modules. Fun for the entire family, great for a long weekend. I only regret that their won't be more chapters. ~sigh~ At least there are Lone Wolf books out there. (not to be confused with Lone Wolf and Cub)

I have some serious issues with this module. I'm normally not this critical, but it's been quite annoying. First, the cloak design is just bad. I have to stop moving before the cloak looks right. When I move, the real cloak flaps yellow while the green part just stays there. Second, trying to fight the burrowcrawlers in the cave is almost impossible. They absorb 5 points of damage and I have a weapon that does 8+str. bonus and the characters are only 2nd level. Third, I brought the ingredient that Soul Seeker asked for and there was no option to add the acid damage to my weapon. Besides these, this is an okay start for beginning players.

I believe that Altaris went off to Bioware, like several other good authors, and unfortunately this will never be finished. He did write Shadow Guard,

It's a great module, and I love it. At the end of the game, there's mention of a continuation to the series, but I can't find it. Has it been released? If not, is it in the works?
