Description
Dark forces threaten the desert city of Yylarium. Lost shards of the Midnight Orb, shattered centuries ago, are sought by many agents with different agendas. Will Set's minions gain the dark artifacts? Or will a different power threaten the political balance? In this sequel to Midwinter Festival and Midsummer Knights' Dream, the PC learns the truth behind the struggles in Kerendas and Yylarium. Will a new future be forged by the master of a black magic, or will the forces of light see clear to a new dawn?
...As I awoke from my dreams I was once more facing the splendid Kama...could I find peace and the beauty of this sweet dessert rose among the barren sandy dunes... No peace it was not; at least not a first..is it ever peace? The gods and the lizard folk had combined to steal this dark orb and threaten the ways of these proud folk; once again I am to be their Eternal Champion... And so i journey through the southern desserts seeking the dark orbs; battling these upstart wizards; battling these would be god lizards...The orbs are found but it will require the ultimate sacrifice to destroy...am I to sacrifice all yet again? I have little to add to my previous votes. Here is a mod series in the true "high fantasy sense". I wonder if there is an overlooked Hall of Fame series...this might be it. Bug free, interesting plot that is well thought out, and this mod still runs perfect as of patch 168 a couple of years since it was released. Please consider finishing Equinox in NWN1 Marc.. this series is amazing and you make the most of the game. I am sure the new game will be great in time...but this series is one for the ages.

Great mod! Definitely a satisfying Part 3. I felt it was a bit too short though, not enough side quests maybe? Or maybe I just didn't manage to find them.. Liked the ending :) [I suspect there were a few choices?] Thank you

Thanks Lariam! I really appreciate the support. Neilium, you're very welcome, and thanks for your post! Steve and Kenrae, I haven't decided what to do with part 4 yet. I am engaged in other projects, as Lariam mentions above, but be assured I will be returning to Equinox at some time in the future. I am leaning at this point towards NWN2. Susan, Armaranth, battybaby, felicitas, thanks for the posts and support. I've enjoyed sharing with you! -Marc

Congrats for the writing job in DLA. I've only played the first module of this seemingly most excellent series, but I can say, on the basis of that only, that the choice wasn't a bad one. Hopefully we get to read some of your DLA-writing soon. :) Cheers, Lariam _________________________ Forgotten Realms Weave

Hi Marc! You've heard it all before, but I really enjoyed all 3 "Mids"! I just played them all together as a trilogy (took me about a week) and had a ball! Add me to the list for Part4 for NWN though, as I'm still running an older(1.2G)PC which won't allow me to play NWN2. Thanks for all your hard work and many hours of fun! :-)

Is the 4th part coming out? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them. Thanks, Steve

I'd love a 4th part... ;)

Fantastic conclusion to the trilogy! I almost got stymied in the abandoned farmhouse. It made me really work to solve the mystery and I like that! I really like your descriptive text, your characters are very real with personalities. Thanks for creating a wonderful set to play!

Great Module, very good balance of role-play and fighting. My only idea for future improvement would be to make the fights a little bit tougher. I hope you are writing a fourth part.
