Description
B3 - Palace of the Silver Princess
This is the module B3 - Palace of the Silver Princess. It is intended for a begining party of adventurers. This remake is based on the work of the author Steve. I changed a few things, removed some empty spaces and added resting restrictions and respawn penalties. Then I made changes to a number of scripts and in order to prevent backtracking I added an item to simplify shoping.
The P&P module was originally made by Tom Moldvay and Jean Wells for TSR 1981. Some minor changes has been made to the introduction. Otherwise it is very much like the original.
Introduction You have heard rumors about the city of Haven. That a dragon rider appeared in the skies over the valley and that he landed and entered the palace of the silver princess holding a shining red ruby. And now all contact is broken and a red fog has settled over Haven. Do you have the courage and strength to find out the fate of the Palace of the Silver Princess?
I'm enjoying the module, but I can't get through the end sequence. I've got the dragon statuette, put it on the throne and then zapped the throne with the harp (the throne is empty after that). I have the Sword of Arik and attempted to hit the throne with it but nothing happens. I can't get through the door with the symbol pointing to it (in the throne room). I've cleared every room on both levels. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. Tim also said he added a different way to end the game. Any help would be much appriciated.

Thanks for the mod. I didn't have any issues completing with a 1st level paladin.
A good stable mod but several changes from the original PnP. Wasn't quite as emersive as I would have liked to see.
This may be the best standalone conversion of B3 but I don't think it is suitable for solo lvl 1-2 (a solid lvl 3-4 may do) because the only henchman is a weak rogue stuck at level 2.
Someone interested in a campaign should consider "in search of adventure" by thegeorge.

Solid build. A few differences form the PnP version, but no bugs and a reasonable rendition.

Very well done! It was surprisingly well-paced for a 1e conversion. It would have been nice to have a choice between different henchmen, instead of only getting a rogue. Still, no biggie. Very fun.

Very well done.

Good stuff. It'd be nice if you could smash open some of those chests though. My only problem was that ogre spawning out of thin air on the second level. Very enjoyable and well scaled though.
May this year be bountiful, rewarding and exciting.
By the way. Are there no one 'out there' that could consider to play this little module and vote. I bet it won´t even take three hours and it could even be fun.

No need to beg. I will try merge them and if it can be done smoothly I will make the b2/b3 combo available. Now, if I only had a few days of spare time...
Thank you for your feedback and overall support.
Sincerely,

PS
One of these days I will beg/bagger Tim into combining the mods B3/B2... :D
The Princess could give the quest to check with her urate in keep... or something along theat lines.
It would be a great 1-5 or 2-6 mod if combined - say 8-10 hours. Perfect 2 game fit for hosting playing...

Just adding comments....
I played B3 then B2. Solo and hosting buddies.
Solo - I started with Level 1:
Elf Ranger - made level 5
Dwarf Warrior - made level 4 (near 5)
Human Sorcerer - made level 5 (near 6)
For multiplayer we started at level 2 and played B3/B2. ended up level 4 accross the board.
B2 is better 2nd in my opinion as some of the random bosses scare better (its harder). At level 4-5 you might generate a manticore in the caves where at lower level you get a Vrock for example.
Eh.. Ah.. Well I can´t say. Really. The modules are made in different settings and some are rather standalone. The following is a good order according to me.
B3 then B2 (as B3 is slightly easier than B2)
or
DL1, DL2, DL3 in that order
or
GK1 then GK2 (for the high level character)
or An Underdark Adventure
or Arcanium (these two takes some time to complete)
I think that P&P B2 was made first then B3 during the 1980s then Dragonlance was released perhaps in the beginning of 1990. H4 was released in the mid-late 1990. Arcanium and An Underdark adventure are constructs of my own and was never released as P&P.
I hope this helped.
Regards,
Tim

I guess my question is, what chronological order of the modules does the story flow in? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.
Thanks,
Steve

There is no chronological order to all my modules(if you meen the order they should be played). Some may be played in order others should be played in order but most of then can be played in any order.
At low level you could play
B3 then B2 or DL1
to reach level 5 or so. If you started with DL1 I would recommend DL2 and DL3 thereafter. An Underdark Adventure and Arcanium can be used to fill the gap for any high level adventure, such as H4.
The order I made the module are;
ArcaniumAn Underdark AdventureH4- The Throne of BloodstoneDL1 - Dragons of DespairDL2 - Dragons of FlameDL3 - Dragons of HopeGK1 - DaemonsGK2 - Shades of DarknessB3 - The Palace of the Silver PrincessB2 - Keep on the Borderlands<i>Note: the last two was originally created by the author Steve.
I hope this answered the question.
Regards,
Tim
An Underdark adventure goes from level (1-4) to (12-16). _________________________ Intelligence - The ability to plan ahead.

You could start a first level character with B3 and then do B2 (as B2 also works for a level 4-5 character). The dragonlance modules should be run in order and you should start with a level 1-3 character in DL1. An Underdark Adventure should be taken on as level 1-3 but will last until level 12 or higher. You could start even higher as the module will adapt. Arcanium support characters of most any level. I recommend a starting level of 1-10. It will take you up to level 15-20 or so. H4 The Throne of Bloodstone works for characters from level 13 (15+ recommended) to 25 or so and GK1 and GK2 works for characters of level 22+.
I haven´t the B1 module, thus I haven´t made a nwn advenutre out of it.
Hi jfxotail!
I haven't merged the modules. The reupload was a fix to add the journal notes that was lost in the 1.66 update.
Have fun,

Hi Tim
Whats new?
I was kindof wondering if yu had merged B2B3 into one mod?
(or is this a phantom Vault update no one can explain?)
Tim, I've seen a listing of all your works... is there a certain order which you play these modules?
Where is B1?
Thanks for your input,

Nice mod, bug free and a fair remake of the paper and pencil version. Could do with some more dialouge and more interesting encounters for improved solo play, but makes for a fun experience as is.

This is a great bug free classic conversion. Tim's update of these mods was excellent and enjoyable.
I highly recommend both B2 and B3 for mod newbies who are unsure where to start, what to do, and are worried (timid) about Haks, over rides, and quality. Tim's use of NWN (Sou & Hotu) with some bleeding and resting rules add new dimension to the games enjoyment

Another great work Tim... Your updates with vanilla NWN and expansions really encourage me to try.
I loved the henchman option which was lacking in B2.
Have you considered melding these together into a level 1 - 5 campaign?? I have soled them this way and had a blast
