The roads you have travelled have not been easy, but their every twist and turn has done naught but to harden your resolve and sharpen your skills. Now, the road climbs eastward towards Heaven's Fist Pass, the Order of the First Three, and the last of the Eight. This module concludes the Book of Fallen Eight series, picking up where the second left off. It is a story-driven adventure, albeit with plenty of tough battles to fight. I recommend playing through the first two modules to familiarize yourself with the story, though I include a journal entry at the start which should bring newcomers up to speed. An optional intro movie is also available for download here at the NWVault. http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/movies/data/1039138177020.shtml.

I never know what to write in the comments. The mod was good, but short. I liked it, though!

Outstanding! I didn't play the first two but picked up the storyline very quickly. Now I'm going back to play the first two.

Am I the only one that can't figure out the 21 stone test? Help please!

This terrible module should be avoided. I will probably remember this one for a while but not because it was good.
The first was average at most and had some degree of background story. The second had little if any story and serious combat balance issues. This one simply goes through the roof with the combats. The trial(s) (except may be one) is a joke and the documentation seems a bit odd. I liked the "Come fully equipped" tip. Does it mean that whatever we need to defeat the bosses or critters are were neither in the two previous chapters nor be placed in this somewhere along the path?
I also liked the "I've tested this in both single player and multiplayer". Perhaps it was tested in God Mode.
* Spoilers *
Here are a few flaws of this module:
1. The abbot was impossible to defeat. To take him down I had to make him follow my character to the hermit and somehow flanked him while the (invulnerable) hermit was giving him a kick or two.
2. Trial. Doing nothing and being attacked fro all sides is not exactly a trial is it? Same apply to the last trial you may want to call it a "Good to go" or something like that.
3. Crpyts. This is where I gave up as the whole module became pointless and the combats way out of proportion.
What was the all point of these crypts? Pointless hack-n-slash? I could have taken the portal but did not bother. Oh and one more thing, a father was killed by his son, how does this knowledge makes it any easier for your character(s) to deal with whatever boss?

Thoroughly enjoyed the first two parts. Nice writing, fun and challenging. The third chapter had a serious drop in fun. It felt like an afterthought. The story's done, the flow of the game was interrupted by drowning/freezing attacks (what's the point?) and dumb--and I mean dumb--puzzles. Too bad. Played solo.

Just finishes your modules and wanted to say good job! I really enjoyed them, too bad they weren't longer though (as you've probably heard tons of times by know..) ;)
Keep up the good work! :) _________________________ magnify / Link

I haven't played these mods yet, but based on the comments I will.
I did want to follow up on bobhome's post, though. I wish I could say to ALL mod designers, "Skip the 'save or die' monsters! They are as annoying as sand in your ice cream!"
Nothing brings enjoyment level down more than having to cheat in an otherwise good mod in order to get through a horde of water elementals, because unlike bobhome, I don't have the patience to re-load 12s of times.
Anyway, that said, I'm looking forward to playing these mods.

Have played through the first two in the series solo and they were tough, but enjoyable. As others have said, they're a bit short, but the quality's generally there. However, I would like to mention this: in the beginning of this one, you have multiple enemies that can kill with their abilities as a water elemental. This is all well and good, but at lvl 8 as a fighter, even with high fort saves, DC20 is harsh. I'm tired of reloading dozens of times, for 100 xp per kill no less.
I'm of the opinion that this one isn't really all that much of a group mod, because of how it starts. Could be wrong, but I won't be multi'ing in this one anytime soon.
As I have said, I have enjoyed the mods up to this point, but this pushes my patience. And I don't know when I will feel up to killing the last few ice lord things. Good work previously, though.
