Description
(June 10, 2008) Some dialogs ameliorations made by Ginni in preparation of the release of Episode III.
(May 3, 2007) Removed the parchment that was in front of the castle doors (it was a short-cut for testing and not meant to be in the actual module)
A big thank too to all those who have taken part in this translation project: firstly Kaelidan, who has nurtured this project for more than 9 months... Eo Nomine and Tamburlane, who have the good taste to be bilingual... And all the others: Goran, Mohunga, Tim Dedopoulos, Berndt Wolff, Kael's girlfriend, J.Macles, Kirian Dunbir etc...AND, last but not least Moreen Carvan who has made a great tester job!
SETTING: You will play in an altenate medieval Europe around the XIII° or XIV° century...France and Burgondy are enemies, for the last one took its independency 150 years before...
STORY: Your character is a rather famous mercenary. He has been dallying abroad and has decided to come home. He is an illegitimate son (namely a bastard) of the family of the Count of Kosigan, vassal of the Duke of Burgundy.
On his arrival in Kosigan he is invited into the castle cellars by one of his old acquaintances: Slynt Carrayan, head of the famous Gray Guard...
Last version 3 may 2007
Note that if you don't have the english version of NWN you will encounter few translation problems (nearly only with creatures and objects names and descriptions)...Nevertheless, you should be able to understand the story without any difficulty. (you feel free to send me reports so that I can improve the translation for your version of the game).
IF YOU THINK THAT THE FIGHTS ARE REALLY TOO DIFFICULT, please lower the difficulty level of the game or/and take a higher level character with better equipment.
Nowhere near as enjoyable as the first in the series. A major let down in fact after the first in the series which was excellent! Too many issues with this one, issues experienced by others who played previously. Too many save game crashes! The contract on Alexis makes no logical sense, so what is point of it? Also the being led around by a leash as it were is most infuriating as it does not give player a chance to really immerse him or herself in the Mod! Just a bit of an anti climax after the first Mod and leaves me less than enthused about playing 3 and 4 in series. A shame despite the obvious large amount of work that went into the Mods. Played first Mod more than once now but I wont be playing the second in series again such was the annoyance with the crashes in particular.

The deletion would assume that you had some old outdated files however, would it not? In that case only loading of a savegame at the end of Ep1 would be required before loading an Ep2 savegame? Why would it have to be an Ep1 _end_ savegame however if the same resources are loaded both at a _start_ save and an _end_ save?

I believe I have solved the problems with saved games and crashes. It is still a bit time consuming but here goes. I deleted all Btard files, haks, 2da etc and reinstalled. Loaded up the end part of Exile of West and then load saved game from Btard of Kosigan and it worked. Unfortunately if you have to reload a saved game you have to do the same again. It has to do with the overrides and prestige classes, I think. As this is the only game that has new prestige classes.

As below with crashes on saved games. Played through part 1 with no problems and about half way through part 2. Still in city just killed X, the person who arranged assassination of Erine's husband. Still no completed journal entry when it comes to te relics or no recognition of killing rats in sewers. Only had 2 saved games for part 2 and both crash. Don't really want to start again. Is there anyway of sorting this out? Noticed comment about changing video settings? A bit latenow. It seems the only way to play through is not to save at all and grin and bear the consequences of death, xp loss and wrong decisions in dialogue? Playing through as a sorceror on hardcore which is probably out of context with the way the B should be played but different and any class is allowed. Even so Help!

Great mod.! Been a while since I played a module outside the OC, and I am enjoying this saga very much. ONE PROBLEM though, that was quite annoying with THIS module (and not the 1st or 3rd of the series, and I hope not with the 4th as well): Many times, when I loaded a saved game, the game simply CRASHED. Is this a known issue?

Hey Fabien. I really enjoyed your modules. I already completed Exile of the West and now stopped on BoK episode 2. But often crashes (especialy when i try to load my saved game) just ruined all the fun :( And unfortunately i guess this will force me to skip ep 2 and play 3 and 4. I beg of you to fix this crashes because i really love the storyline in your modules and dont want to miss anything :) I want to complete all your modules. Wish you luck and inspiration :)

Sorry for: these crashes, hundred, and all the grammatical mistakes I made anyway! Now I want a glass of whine!

The first part of this story was great! This one was more problematic than enjoyable! Hundred others mentioned this before and I agree: I hate this crashes while I am loading a save-game! I usually had to try four times and every time starting the game again... The story musn´t be linear, but as far as you have finished the questwith the spy I was mentioned to enter the palace and got no other help for alll the other open quests. If I try to talk to (what was his name?) ... again, I just could tell him that there are no guards to open the door, although I even didn´t try to enter the palace. (Nearby... the guards were still at the same place!) I could get a houndred keys for the palace, but no helping instructions. So I had to do the quest and afterwards I just got the information that "This is the end!" . I tried this module again to check if and where I have made mistakes because of all the open quests, but I even couldn´t success with all this! SPOILERS: I couldn´t finish the monk-quest (temple) because I couldn´t find some opium anywhere! I couldn´t finish the quest for my unmarried cousin because when I tried to tell his promised wife is gone now and the woman he wanted to marry agreed to wait three months he just asked me what I want. I couldn´t finish the quest with the missing sisters/clones because I decided not to arrest them but to let me give information and let them go. I didn´t find any hint for a quest for the burning village with the dragon but a small boy I sent to my old nurse and afterwards never saw again. Well okay, it was just a small little dragon which burnt the whole village and the neighbours didn´t recognize or ask. Why not? In the palace I got a key with no hint where to use it. I "poisoned" my uncle and just one guard in front of the door attacked me? I opened the gate to the village and the guard always told me that the gate is closed. Just a few examples of all the fun I had! Perhaps I would have been better with a little quality-control!

Almost as good as "Exile". An enjoyable mod. Marked down because the Modesty Veil was mandatory rather than optional (not sure why this installment has an adult rating) and the constant crashing while loading a save was extremely frustrating. The loading from a save problems with this mod should be fixed. The problems are with the module, not as a result of some people having an underpowered computer.
