CC2: Sorrow of Faerun is a module designed for levels 10-15, and is part two of the 3 part Claw Chronicles campaign that should lead the players on a grand adventure taking them into the middle of the War for Myth Drannor itself. This module should be played after CC1: Gates of Myth Drannor, otherwise things will be more than a little confusing. :) Hell has come to Myth Drannor. In the gathering dark, the Crossroads tavern still shines as a beacon to those unfortunates who find themselves within the haunted forests depths. As the tide of evil prepares to spill out across all of Faerun, only a handful of adventurers stand between the Forgotten Realms and the endless hordes of Hell. The devil God Mammon has made his move, and the mightiest of hells champions is unleashed. But, the Rod of Worlds is still lost, and its power can be used for both good, and evil........ Current version: v1.03
Greetings Abbadon , i've recentley started to play your module..i know..a little late but it wasn't so long ago i recentley discovered your pair of magic stories about The Claw and the Demon prince Mammon , yet i have some questions i heard rumors about a deadley beast preying on the inhabitants of Suzail and second but yet i cannot find it , do you perchance know?..previous on these pages i heard some words of haigor and Maelstrom , was the claw a riginal adventure group youself was in? or is it a well planned background to these stories?

I haven't played in a long time, but I loved this module and this series. It makes me cry that there is no third part. If there is a single unfinished series on here that I would like to see concluded, it's this one. Please please please.

I really enjoyed this module as well as the first. Playing FRUA (a long time ago), I got over the fact that not everyone is as anal as I am about spelling so I tend to notice but not get peeved anymore. :) I really was disappointed that CC3 was never finished. :(
Hey hey! Can someone please post a link to the CC1 download page please? _________________________ Kind regards

Refer to my comments about CC1. All the same problems persist here, though not to such a bad degree, particularly as the module gets to the latter stages. Odd example: the 'Suhuanguin' were made a tribe of the Sahaguin, presumably to explain away the spelling error in CC1 ... yet 'Sahaguin' is still repeatedly mispelled like something close to 'Suhuaguin.' All around, though, this module is an improvement.
Good thing that stands out: cutscenes. This module effectively shows how cutscenes should be used. They're not done in the amateurish fashion that many HoF modules display, nor are they overdone as they are in masterpieces like Daggerford and Reptile God. The summoning of the Pit Fiend general was one of my favorite examples -- superbly done with the chunks of earth rising out of the crater and all.
Bad thing that stands out: I'm a dwarf! And I could think of a couple of instances in which this was not recognized. I addressed the dwarf leader in the Crossroads as 'Dwarf' as if I was referring to someone of a different race. And the far worse example, the Half-Devil that was disguised as the Dwarven Archaeologist: 'A Dwarf can't use the portal ... so I need you to use it instead,' completely failing to recognize that I was a dwarf.
The story really picked up steam in this one; that combined with the fact that the 'endless hordes' structure of combat was toned down (though I must wonder why I couldn't just fight the Scourge without the 101 Hell Warriors) allowed me to get into this one a lot more that CC1. The barbarians vs. easterners subquest was one of the highlights for me. I'm disappointed that CC3 will be a NWN2 module, but not crestfallen; it still isn't a -great- module in my eyes.
As an aside, I'm glad that I'm not a prostitute living in Mr. Savicki's area.

I just finished cc2 and it was a fantastic module. Builds well on the first adventure.
If I can make a plea for the NWN1 community, please, please put out a NWN1 mod of cc3. Many people are looking forward to it and would play. That's my two cents.
Wonderful mod Abaddon!

Anyway to convince you to release cc3 under NWN1?

Amazing sequel! Great job Abaddon!

-.25: Crude language and unkillable prostitute
-.25: Didn't like the sewer adventure. Underground sewer adventures beneath cities don't mix with me.
-.25: Some polishing needed for the latest NWN patch. Abaddon doesn't spawn in the final battle. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Finished last night w/ 13th lvl Monk that I played Kingmaker and CC1 with. One of my favorite Mods so far. Going to see if I can access some of the areas I didn't finish before I export character.

Great modle, like the first chapter. Yet, there are some minor issues. For example: at one point in Suazil, the PC says that Grano died during the battle out of the Crossoroads, but I never saw him fighting.
Then, I can get the key for the Alley from the beggar, even if I don't have the map he wants.
Anyway, Congratulations. I really enjoyed this series, and I hope you will bring it on.

still don't know what caused my invulnerability, but it wore off or otherwise disappeared on my new approach to the old elven court.

somehow, i managed to get into something like dm_god mode (immune to all forms of damage), no clue how it happened, haven't even been in debug mode except after i noticed it, to try (unsuccessfully) to get rid of it. i also tried restarting the engine, which usually gets rid of actual debug dm_god, but its still there. i first noticed it in the chamber of light, but it could have been around some time by then. i'm now headed into Drannor to cause my diversion for Abbadon, and its still there, and making the game rather short on challenge. anyone know what might cause this, or how to get rid of it?

"I know you'r a monk, Valdur. Would you like me to shape its magics for that class, or another?", yet he doesn't give the option to shape for that class, only for Fighter, Ranger, Paladin, Rogue, Blackguard, or Sorc/Wiz. did it not occur to you that someone might actually choose to play a barbarian, monk, druid, bard (ok, i can understand that one *grin*), or cleric? you omited nearly half the classes in the game. this screws such classes out of what seems to be a fairly major bit of equipment award, which is problematic, but even worse by my count, is that if you'r playing <i>any of those 5 discounted classes, the dialog makes no sense, as he specifically offers an option that isn't one. (i'v noticed this a few times before, where npc responses take the same path regardless of my choice, and in several cases, this singular npc response only makes sense for one of the things i could have said.)
That's wonderful news! I was hoping the series would finally have a conclusion. Goodluck in your creating and can't WAIT to play your next fabulous mod!

Ah, snap! I was hoping to hear from you! Cannot wait to see what you come up with for your next module.
Hey there guys. Havent been building because I've been busy busy, but now with NWN2 on its way its time to continue the adventure. Ya, I'll be continuing the series in NWN2.
Still considering the best way to do this, perhaps I'll start with a mid lvl module, as there were very few of those when NWN1 was first released.
Thanks for all the comments and suppoert. :)

Exceptional story and play. If it had a third it would be a TEN

Great story with lots of hack and slash done well and great role playing. The tragity is that the series was never finished.

Good sequel, with an interesting sidetrip to Suzail although the city was minimal without even a temple to provide clerical services. The use of hills and mountains made some maps hard to travel.

I'm playing this module with version 1.67 and just visited the Temple of Light, where my PC expected quite a challenge fighting 4 high-level monsters in order to get a part of the Rod of the Worlds. However, after using the proper oilment to bring each of them back to life, I was a bit surprised that none of them was able to fight back... In all cases, they turned hostile right away but never moved, hit or used any spell against my PC. They just stood still until death. Although these encounters provided many XP points, it was far from the challenge I expected. Is anybody aware of what might be the problem? If required, I still have a saved game in the Temple.

I did not like this as well as the first, for my taste the balance shifted too much from story to finding things and dungeon crawling. Still, it was a pretty decent mod.
I can't be bothered with anything these days, but such is life. I don't care. So it goes. More or less nothing seems worth thinking about. I've just been hanging out waiting for something to happen, but that's how it is.
