My idea was to make a huge module into smaller ones, so as to give people something to look at and play with while I made the next module in the series.

Only one player is supported. More can play, but it would interfere with the romance and parental heritage storylines.

Description
You are already a seasoned adventurer with a few years experience under your belt, when a messenger from your hometown finds you with news that your mother is dying. Returning home to what you expect to be a sad event, you're disturbed by your mother's last words: a charge to find the adventurer father you never knew. With only the name of a city and an ornate family heirloom as your first clues, you set off to not only discover the secrets behind your heritage, but uncover a diabolical plot that runs deeper than your father's blood in your veins. Trimmed with comedy, romance, drama, and plenty of combat to satisfy most bloodthirsty campainers, this is the first and preliminary installment of Wings of Kephel.

Nice portraits
Some issues:
- hench jeman have feats in 2 weapons(overpowered feats), one of those weapons he is unable to use; not to mention in the equipment he got 3rd different weapon type.
- dragon quest - haven't started could finish
- lilac reward can be collected several times and if you choose to plea for more she won't give the item(taht is worth more than 50gp he gives you while using this option)
- swamp: being stuck in the mud multiple times was really annoying, because the stuck period is too long
- spammed mermaids laugh area
- in the tower: typo "being" instead of "begin"
and basically everything mentioned below except that the quest with the hunter was finishable _________________________ Thanks Rolo:)

A promising start, worth playing on it's own if you have a ready character you can use.
The mood and setting were great, the river woman sidequest just exemplary.
I didn't much like the module leaving almost everything to my own curiosity as a gamer,
like no reason whatsoever to visit a fishing village, except for the gamers need to look
behind every corner. My character wouldn't have done it.
I'd have loved to see this continue..

Not bad for an evening. Thanks to the Overlooked Module folks for pointing out this one.
Pros:
+ Original
+ More than one way to complete the main quest
Cons
- Felt more like one hour (even after completing the village quest)
- Some faction bugs (e.g. in the tent)
- Easy to miss the side quest if you grab either or both quests tokens early on

Too short, bugs sometimes, didn't like the encounters with animal, roleplay was "medium"
This could've been a start of great series but... Anyway, 1 more vote, and this module will take a place in the charts. I hope it gets it... _________________________ Click Link to view content submitted by me.

...eh!??...how did I get here? One minute I'm reading your story, the next I've posted here!?

Hear! hear! The best one yet!
You know, this chapter reminds me why, when faced with Bishop types in rl, (apart from a couple of *cough* trips), I ran like the nine hells were after me! :)

Avariel,
I was musing to meself, on why one of the better short mods isn't doing as well as it should! My answer might be simplistic, but, I arrange my portfolio of mods that I want to play alphabetically. It was only when I realised that I hadn't got much past the "Ds," that I'd decided to try the "other end," and came across "Wings of Kephel!" Maybe other people arrange their portfolios the same?
I know that *Titles* to a story are given lots of well thought and are personal to the Author, but maybe you could add "Avariels' Wings of Kephel!?" or something like that. It might get it to the *proper* end of the alphabet? :D
Like I said, just musing, I know you're busy with brushing up on a rang...er...I mean *stuff* right now! might be worth a look though! the mind game aspect of this thought alone...!!? ;D
That's not a bad idea; I still have the module's story mapped out on my computer, so once I'm done with the current FanFic (which I already am) I might just do that. My problem is I have so many stories, and Mod's are so time consuming; and I've already started on yet ANOTHER story mod with the new Toolset, so maybe when I'm done writing and building, I'll go back to this story and make it a la NWN 2 :)

argh, I meant "your stories," not "you're stories."
Must be tired, I've been making the most of the holidays, and just playing everything, pretty much nonstop.

Well I just loved this mod. The bit that we've got so far, is looking like this is going to be a fascinating story. If you don't have time to finish this mod, could you at least do a fan fiction story, (yes I've read you're stories, and they're really good), so if modding is too time consuming how about just the story. Though, I'd love to meet the "family," with my pc, I'd forget all that and be really happy with a conclusion, ala Stephan Gagne! :)
The module is showing good potential. I look forward to your next update. You mention a romance in the decription of the module, and that is what drew my attention to the module in the first place. I must have completely missed it. I even replayed , and still couldn't find it. I did find the other forest with respective quests that I skipped the first time. You probably ought to force players to go there somehow. I did love the Anna quest. Keep up the good work! I'll vote when there is more of a module to vote on.
Hi guys! I know it's been a WHILE, try being full time military and a full time student and see how far you get into making modules :) I'm going to start getting into it again, I've actually gotten pretty far into Mod 2 and am hoping to finish it by next month. Thanks! email me if you have questions/comments/concerns/suggestions.

An interesting module so far, but when I go into the Wizard's tent and he attacks me, Katyana shifts to hostile, and it is impossible to even damage her. Is this supposed to happen, or is it a bug?

Greets Avariel!!
It's been a while but I just popped by to see if 1)There was an update since mid-September and 2) Where you were/are with the next part
Take care! _________________________ We are all born ignorant, but one must work to remain ignorant.
Hi Avariel! Finished the mod and I thought I'd leave ya my thoughts :)
It appears I missed 90% of it since I didn't have any side quests at all. I got through with it in about 20 minutes or so. Maybe little hints or clues about the side quests would be helpful?
Also, the woman in the wizard's tent, I think she's a joinable henchman? She goes hostile to me after the wizard attacks me. And I don't get an opportunity to speak to her before the wizard since he comes right at me when I enter the tent (but then again, I don't know if I'm supposed to talk to her first.. anyway)
I'm going to play through it again and see the stuff I missed. I think this looks like a real promising series and I'm looking forward to the next part!

I was going to ask about part 2 myself. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

********//SPOILERS AHEAD//*************
It was intresting however very too short. Please make more than 4 areas to next mod. It was also very badly unbalaced those wolves ver challenging but that Caravan Half Orcs and Mage were joke. I dont give high votes easyly and nobody has get 10 so far it symbolices perfection and if i see even 1 little thing what coud be done better its not 10. This has not being heavy Roleplay so far it has being very linear. I dont say this to be mean i say this to be usefull critick wich helps you to make future mods even better. I give u 8

Great module, loved the story...can't wait for the next one...a few bugs but nothing serious...
The fisher village after solving the "missing" quest: Lilac is named "gypsy, female"; her convo option about the reason for the storms should disappear after telling her.
Plot items that should disappear after usage /handing them over:
dragon soul gem, flowers, silver key, sulphur, wizard key.
Sorted out issues; they all work mow for the good path (ignored the shady npc with wardstone quest completely):
- hunched figure
- missing fisherman (hag still alive)
- *really* entering the southern trails instead of the swamp now :)
--
In the company of thieves 2 - the metal of honour:
Mouse: Thanks, mate!
Yvonne(female): Don't call me mate, Mouse! My name is Yvonne.
LMAO thanks for the comment :) Someone else reported teh swamp/caravan bug thing, so I just fixed that one. Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll burn my computer in rage.
Just kidding, but seriously let me know if it works.
The villagers attacking Kross and the girl is a faction thing, I hate all factions and how they work, but I shall fix it and update again. :)
As far as the dialouge goes, hey, it's the dialect of the region :) and even a delicate female elf adventurer is still an adventurer, and roughs it with the best of them. No matter how pretty, sweet, or girly she is, she might still have to put up with men regarding her for her weapons, armor, magical skill or stiff right hook rather than her delicate female nature. It's been my experience that men usually disregard the fact that I'm a woman when I'm in the same line of work as them, and generally regard me as their buddy, or "mate."
The storyline will develop somewhat, I'll add more and more to it as I go along with the whole thing. :)
I've updated just now, and fixed a multitude of bugs, so let me know if anything else goes wrong. (should read WHEN anything else goes wrong.)
Lilac (mage shop) should get this name instead of "gypsy, female" @ mouseover.
When my pc brings the 'hunter' back to Jenny, it is just the "Hi Jenny" - "Hi friend" convo.
All areas: a lot of 'deco' buildings lack doors - I suggest to make them plot locked with a text popup "Nothing of interest inside."
