The adventure takes place in the city of Deornhal and its environs. This is a setting of my own creation.
Gameplay Length
The module is mostly non-linear; the player will have to find his or her own way, and therefore is not required to complete all side quests. However, if you do complete each and every quest, the module length can run about 40 hours.

Description
As your mother lay on her deathbed, breathing in her last ragged gasps, she at last told you the identity of the father you'd never known--King Aelfrecht of Elondria. Pressing his old signet ring into your hand and whispering a final entreaty to go to the capital of Deornhal and seek out Faelred, your mother passed on into the next life, leaving you alone and adrift in a world that had suddenly become strange.
Now your travels have brought you to the great city of Deornhal, commercial hub and seat of power for the kingdom of Elondria. Yet tragedy has befallen the nation as King Aelfrecht lies dying from an unknown disease. Without his guiding hand, the veneer of stability surrounding the city has crumbled away, revealing the rotted foundation beneath. Turmoil now reigns supreme in Deornhal as factions large and small battle for control while awaiting the king's demise. Some move openly to oppose the rightful government, while others cloak their actions in shadow and secrecy. Who will you join in this roiling miasma of deceit and treachery--and what will be your destiny?
A single-player adventure for first level human characters.
This adventure is mostly nonlinear, although there are hints and suggestions to guide you along the major quest path. You can follow these suggestions, or wander around the city to discover things at your own pace.
Note: You will need to download the Bloodright Music HAK, the Bloodright HAK, the Bloodright Opening Movie, and the Bloodright End Movies files in order to play this module. Note that this module no longer requires the CEP to be installed.
This is a partial walkthrough for Bloodright: The Blood Royal (as of version 2.25). Please note that it is still a work-in-progress, and thus will not offer help for the module in its entirety. Obviously, this file will contain many spoilers. Enjoy!
Hello, theduration! Sorry to say, I may need a little more time to get back to you with a workaround. I've had a little bit of an unexpected computer issue and need to reinstall everything, including NWN. I apologize for the wait, but I should have everything back up and running tomorrow or Saturday.

Hi Twilightking, Thanks for the rapid response! I do indeed have such save games. I await any potential workaround you may be able to suggest with bated breath!

Hello, theduration! Thanks for playing the mod--and for the great comments. I'm glad you've been enjoying it. I've seen that problem before with other cutscenes. I'll take a look at this one when I get home and see if it's caused by the same problem. I should be able to get a workaround for you, although it may need to be done before you enter that cutscene (do you have a saved file from before then?). I'll let you know what I find out as soon as I can!

Hi Twilightking, This is a great mod, but i have encountered what appears to be a terminal problem that I hope you may be able to help me resolve. Possible minor spoiler: I have progressed enough so that when I enter the palace I am approached by the chancellor, who takes me to the second floor to see the king for the first ( last?) time, via a cut scene. When this encounter is finished I exit back to the palace ground floor via another cut scene, then nothing, The game does not resume but remains frozen. Is this something you have come across, can you suggest a solution please? I hope so, as this mod is up there with the best I have played.

Hello, vegitto24! Thank you for your vote! I apologize for the delay in responding; things have been pretty busy lately. I'm sorry you ran into some trouble with the mod; there are a few issues that cropped up when I overhauled the game and, quite frankly, I've just been too busy to get back and make those fixes. One of these days I'll get around to it. Can you give me some more information about the point at which you became stuck? I might be able to help you get past that point. I'll just need to know what point of the story you've reached. Feel free to email me if you're concerned about posting spoilers. And thanks again for taking the time to play the mod!

I attempted to play this module few times a while back but I was not able to because the game tend to crash while playing this module. Somehow though I was able to play through the most part of the module this time. So I'm going to rate this as 9.25 because it is not without flaws. Some of the dialogue options were not available when I needed them and the journal entry sometimes was misleading. Still I enjoyed most of the play-through. Looks like I got stuck though because I can't locate the chancellor at the palace. Anyways some of the quests were most interesting to do. Thank you for making this flawed but wonderful module for your fellow gamers. :)

Thank you very much for the help, TwilightKing. I did indeed, enjoy the module, though I wound up just skipping the priest quest line. Thank you for getting back to me, though. You've got a wonderful module here.

Hello, Shedek! Sorry to hear you ran into a problem--that's been one on my list of things to fix, but unfortunately time hasn't allowed it yet. The variable you'll need is "DestroyedAltar", and it should be set to "1". Hope you're enjoying the module, in spite of that glitch!

I'm having a problem with the priest quest line. I took the time to go through both the city guard and priest quest lines up to the lichyards. I've completely the quest, but I chose to report to Osric first. Now, Wilhelm will only ask me whether I have completely the quest, and won't allow me to report. What variables do I have to mess with to fix this?
