Summoned you may be, but before long it is they who will serve you. Once the greatest evil dwelled in the depths of Hell, but now you shall stalk Faerûn once again. This sequel to The War for Cania requires 1.66 + SoU + HotU.

Best of the three. I loved chasing the gnomes around their little village :) The opening cut scene was very cool. And getting to beat the hell out of the Simbul...

I just wish you had an option of capturing and corrupting the paladin in this. It's something my Blackguard would have done.

Nice trilogy

This is very tough to vote on as I don't think it took me more then 25 minutes or so to play. Very short and abrupt. Story continues to be intriguing, however there is little else that is new or different. Overall quite dissapointing in relation to the earlier chapters.

AGH! Now I remember why I didn't vote here! Sorry :(

Mmm, I thought I'd already voted here, but I don't see my vote anywhere...
Good mod, continuing the story. I hope there is more to come, I'd like to form my own Empire.

Good work, but again I do wish there will be some more neutral options ^^
I think previous module, there are two main lines to continue... this might increase the difficulty to future modules...
anyway good work, and I give you the rating ^^

Another great mod. thanks again for keeping the badguy story line going. only problem was the changed camra angle at the end did not change back. and i am not a big fan of hacs in a mod. but still an excelent mod and lots of dialog choices. hope to have my revenge on Mystra someday so i hope you keep the story line going and the good work _________________________ DARKON189
The previous modules i found extremely accurate and well researched, great job on those to start with. I've only just got around to playing this one, and i must say you did a great job in continuing the story.
However... I wanted to kill that sorceress so much, is that available in the mod or do i have to wait until the next one?
I look forward to another in the series, as a planescape fan and forgotten realms, your mods are pretty much everything i need, so the rating is a 10 for all three mods, seperate or together. (I've been looking around every corner for angry Eilistraee worshippers!)

Flat-out awesome trilogy you've made there, Haildodge. It's pretty difficult to get recreate that feeling of epic-ness after HoTU (what with all the giant battles and Mephistopheles' involvement), but you've managed to deliver every time - first with a castle, then infiltrating Big M's stronghold, and now a taste of being on the Other Side (the party of adventurers at the beginning are my single favorite encounter in the whole of NWN-verse, butchering them goody-twoshoes). Appreciate the loot, too.
This deserves no less than a perfect score.

Great set of modules, sad to hear there will be no more :-(

For what is here I give a 9.5- my only gripe is that when I start butchering gnomes, the rest of the village- including guards- remain neutral, rather than hostile.
However, this is far too short- it ends very abruptly. It would be great if it continued for an hour or two more, charting your conquest against the enemy army marching your way... _________________________ I hold it to be of great prudence for men to abstain from threats and insulting words towards any one, for neither the one nor the other in any way diminishes the strength of the enemy; but the one makes him more cautious, and the other increases his hatred of you, and makes him more persevering in his efforts to injure you.

Nice work again, although I didn't expect anything else after having played the first two parts of this trilogy... : ) Cool return to Faerûn. Quite okay story, impressive cut-scenes, a pair of nice epic battles (the way the final attack advanced was extremely nice), etc.
Some parts felt slightly "chaotic", or "nervous" to me. Like the gnome village. And also the way the first big confrontation was built (I chose the caves but visited elsewhere in between...). I don't quite know how to put it... I may not be making any sense here, sorry.
Anyway, thanks for these modules, Haildodge! They are definitely worth playing for any evil-aligned character from HotU, and did constitute one of my favorite series. I certainly hope to see more mods from you some day.
Oh, you wrote that there are no plans for a sequel, but are there, perhaps, some other plans..? : ) _________________________ Forgotten Realms Weave

Very good. I'd like to see a longer series from Haildodge.

Just finished, this one has been my favorite out of the series. It is somewhat short, but I wasn't expecting it to be that long either. This chapter could be a good ending, although I really do hope you continue with the series. At any rate I'm give this a ten.

GREAT you made a sequel! very nice module, very short though once again ;)
i liked the cutscenes and i liked the speech mystra's chosen one made, allthough completely pointless for she was a gonner only few seconds later.
keep going please :)

A fun mod with plenty of action and interesting choices to make. Definitely worth the download.

Well , being a supreme lazybones, I am just getting around to voting for the hundred or so worthy mods I think warrant votes.
This module is top notch.
I went through a Campaign, starting with Shadows of Undrentide, then TomG's SQ1, then Hordes ,becoming a PaleMaster and using Messy's True Name in the end, then onto your post hordes gems.
Your post Hordes series has a great story, immpressive dialogue, no bugs.My PaleMaster hated fighting Mystra though.8)
I will be waiting for your next work.
Thx for the great fun.

Great story.
Clean and bug free.
This builder's mods keep getting better.
I want more for my PaleMaster.

Wonderful Mod! Very comparable to "The Gods Themselves", although personally I like this one much better. I believe, though, it is a matter of taste as all three that I have played (The Gods Themselves, The War for Cania, and this one the Monastery of the Flaming Star) were top notch.
The quality of your mods are exceptional, and most importantly: They are fun to play.
I've rated this one a ten. I would encourage anyone who hasn't played the other two modules that I listed above to play them as well. (They are the prequels to this one.)
I hope that you plan to continue with this module, or have a new one in the series.

Thanks for your interest. Please vote if you are inclined.
@ironyteeth: there is no cutscene before the final battle, I just thought it would look cool to change the camera angle. If others object to this, I will consider taking it out.
@TiamatReborn: Not sure why you are seeing the crash. It wasn't reported by my playtesters. As for lesser dispel, yes the time to bash the gate is very short. However, you can cast the spell again and continue bashing (or tell Sagamon to do so). The gate only regenerates damage inflicted while the enchantment is active. Damage inflicted while the enchantment is dispelled is not regenerated after dispel expires.

Great modules! Is there going to be a sequal for this?
Posted by TiamatReborn ( 207.172.xxx.xxx ) at 2005-12-24 06:22:53
What can I say, this is just a truly great mod, just like both of it's predecessors. My main complaint is that it every so often it would crash during the level transitions, (happened about twice during the module, I just quicksaved before going anywhere). Also, I when dispelling the monastery gate, it didnt really seem to work. (For the record, I was a fighter 10/ Cleric 4/ Blackguard 17 and was using the lvl 2 divine spell lesser dispel. it didnt exactly work for any length of time, or at least not me, aribeth, vrux, an epic vrock and Sagamon couldnt beat it down during that time period.
Other then that, Kudos and I hope you keep making these, and I hope that you will make them for NWN 2 when it comes out.

A nice mod, lots of action and some dificulty, but why so short? _________________________ "Be at ease mortal, for in a single swing I shall take you to the sea of gray mirror glass"
