Note: the latest (1.69 compatible) version of this module is available only in the Trilogy download. Click here.
Desperate to escape punishment for their crimes, a band of exiled wizard-monks practices dark magic within an abandoned underground ruin. Summoned you may be, but before long it is they who will serve you. Once the greatest evil dwelled in the depths of Hell, but now you shall stalk Faerûn once again. This sequel to The War for Cania requires 1.66 + SoU + HotU.
The previous modules i found extremely accurate and well researched, great job on those to start with. I've only just got around to playing this one, and i must say you did a great job in continuing the story. However... I wanted to kill that sorceress so much, is that available in the mod or do i have to wait until the next one? I look forward to another in the series, as a planescape fan and forgotten realms, your mods are pretty much everything i need, so the rating is a 10 for all three mods, seperate or together. (I've been looking around every corner for angry Eilistraee worshippers!)

Flat-out awesome trilogy you've made there, Haildodge. It's pretty difficult to get recreate that feeling of epic-ness after HoTU (what with all the giant battles and Mephistopheles' involvement), but you've managed to deliver every time - first with a castle, then infiltrating Big M's stronghold, and now a taste of being on the Other Side (the party of adventurers at the beginning are my single favorite encounter in the whole of NWN-verse, butchering them goody-twoshoes). Appreciate the loot, too. This deserves no less than a perfect score.

Great set of modules, sad to hear there will be no more :-(

For what is here I give a 9.5- my only gripe is that when I start butchering gnomes, the rest of the village- including guards- remain neutral, rather than hostile. However, this is far too short- it ends very abruptly. It would be great if it continued for an hour or two more, charting your conquest against the enemy army marching your way... _________________________ I hold it to be of great prudence for men to abstain from threats and insulting words towards any one, for neither the one nor the other in any way diminishes the strength of the enemy; but the one makes him more cautious, and the other increases his hatred of you, and makes him more persevering in his efforts to injure you.

Nice work again, although I didn't expect anything else after having played the first two parts of this trilogy... : ) Cool return to Faerûn. Quite okay story, impressive cut-scenes, a pair of nice epic battles (the way the final attack advanced was extremely nice), etc. Some parts felt slightly "chaotic", or "nervous" to me. Like the gnome village. And also the way the first big confrontation was built (I chose the caves but visited elsewhere in between...). I don't quite know how to put it... I may not be making any sense here, sorry. Anyway, thanks for these modules, Haildodge! They are definitely worth playing for any evil-aligned character from HotU, and did constitute one of my favorite series. I certainly hope to see more mods from you some day. Oh, you wrote that there are no plans for a sequel, but are there, perhaps, some other plans..? : ) _________________________ Forgotten Realms Weave

Very good. I'd like to see a longer series from Haildodge.

Just finished, this one has been my favorite out of the series. It is somewhat short, but I wasn't expecting it to be that long either. This chapter could be a good ending, although I really do hope you continue with the series. At any rate I'm give this a ten.

This mod has MADE my day! I loved The Gods Themselves and The War of Cania, I can't wait to play.
