You find yourself emprisoned in a Planar Pocket by your arch-nemesis Avitar, after having defeated the Nya'tar Tyman Uvudry and his army of undead. Avitar now has control of the Soul-link that Uvudry had originally used to link your soul to his own.
Your first priority is to find a way to escape this place; afterwards, you must find a way to remove the soul-link. Luckily, Askyba Moriano, your close friend and mentor back on Ciarria so long ago, is trapped here as well, and is ready and willing to help you...
What to Expect:
'Tale of a Mage, Chapter 2 - The Ceremony of Souls' is a module designed exclusively for high-level arcane spellcasters that have finished Chapter One of the series. While there are many opportunities for roleplaying and there is lots of detailed and involved dialogue, this module is also very combat-intensive. If you don't relish the idea of getting your hands dirty and becoming a battle-mage, this module is probably not for you.
On the other hand, if you're looking for epic spellduels, intelligent enemies that will dispel, buff, and trade spell for spell in combat, exhilarating boss fights that will require strategy and skill to emerge victorious from, and a strong central story/plot, then look no further!
Prepare for the ultimate NWN spell-slinging experience; welcome to 'Tale of a Mage, Chapter 2 - The Ceremony of Souls'!
FEATURES Custom Music as well as many High-Level Custom Spells such as Teleport, Volcanic Eruption, Tidal Wave, Chaos Blast, Lightning Storm, Chain Negativity, and more!
NOTE: This module uses the same 3 NanoSky Hi-Res Haks that were used in Chapter 1. If you still have them, there's no need to download them again (duh).
NEW as of 3/12/06 :: Thanks to community member Taellosse, the 11 Custom spells now have non-color icons (which look like BioWare ones, with dark purple and white) ! Huge thank-you to Taellosse! :)
Cheers,
Hugie
Though it's not a sequel per-se, you may want to check out The Island, a twisted/dark exploration adventure for PC's of level 26-28, after completing the 'Tale of a Mage' series--after all, the level range makes sense. ;)
This contains the required hakpaks and the most up-to-date custom TLK file for 'Tale of a Mage, Chapter 2 - The Ceremony of Souls.' (1.3a) (Last Updated 3/12/06 at 8:35am with Taellosse's new Custom Spell Icons!)

10. Part 2 isn't the sequel of Part 1. If you wanna play only the best, play that one right here. ToM2 is one of these few amazingly creative modules where you see how far NWN could take you with the right author. If you like magic, crazyness, imagination, beauty, this is for you. NWN how it could or should be. That part has been written. You'll see the difference. I suppose you could even start with that one. Now I'm going for " Perchance to Dream " and " The Island - Re-Vamped! " Bravo Alex, wonderful piece of fun, which means a lot of work. And thanks for being around still. :-) _________________________ @ + jml, level 52 "Overgod? Much, much, much better than Part 1 so far. Amazing maps and mods. Truly. But I'm stuck. Queen's appartements. I've got her journal. And...? I even tried the whole way back. Nop. Closed. _________________________ @ + jml, level 52 "Overgod? Is that like Supergod or something?", from "Citadel" "M?not shr this ishych u g?dea.", from "Prophet" series

Thanks Raziel! I'm really glad you enjoyed playing this as much as I enjoyed making it. :) If you liked this, you'll LOVE Perchance to Dream, another spellcaster mod I made! _________________________ Alex "Hugie" Hugon Writer - Ossian Studios NWN2: Mysteries of Westgate - NWN2's first Adventure Pack Moonshadows - An Action-Packed, Story-Driven Adventure in the Forgotten Realms [Development Blog] The Third Sign - A Novel-to-NWN2-Module conversion of Gregory A. OMG, this has been one of the most entertaining mods ive played. A truly epic story, loved the custom spells and creatures and all, quite challenging as well, those by the CoS mod, you should be a veteran magic tactician =p and honestly, for me, the final 3 battles were rather easy. Run up to Xi'Shai, molecular vibration, bye-bye xishai hello 2 full levels. lol. Lezzekar was pretty easy too. We traded Mord. disjuctions for awhile, tossing up and breaking down spell mantles with my wand of spell breaching, but eventually Lez tripped up, and got a bigby's deadly grasp for tha insta-kill. Same thing for siarbak, though he was slightly tougher. same exchange of disjuctions and spell mantles, tho i got an unpleasant surprise when his saves were too high for the deadly grasp, unfortunatly it didnt go so well with the grasping hand and he stood there helpless while I nailed him with an empowered IGMS. End of story. Yay! Still a pretty entertaining boss battle though. The mage-killer was a nice add too, but i just cast tensers then went to town on it while my panther was sneak attacking for 70+ damage... he didnt last long either. lol. But yes. A very well done and engrossing story. Mission accomplished =) _________________________ So what if I tied Billy's legs to the flag pole and handed him a hacksaw and told him he had 5 minutes to find a cure for the anthrax I put in his milk.
