After your adventures in Athkatla, you find yourself on a ship destined for a remote outpost of the Empire of Amn. There, you are to locate a specific ritual of banishment, one powerful enough to destroy the daemon Vraxilorn forever but you have only a single clue as to where this ritual might be. Find Silastheras, Saleron has told you, and you have found the ritual. But what, where, or who is Silastheras, and what is so special about this particular ritual? For the answers to these questions, you must search throughout Ajit-Kahn, an island covered by jungles and swamps and shrouded in mystery through the passage of time. What youll discover will chill you to the core, for a great evil is awakening one that threatens to engulf the entire island and enslave its people!
A continuation of chapters 1, 2, and 3. For characters level 4 to 5. May advance as high as upper 7th level.

Topnotch again. I'm invested in the story and ready to leap into the final chapter.

This one improves a lot from the previous chapters. Characters are starting to be interesting. Overall I have a great time with this game!

I had a pretty good time with this one. I truly hated Vera (which I'm guessing was intended) and I didn't like Norl too much either (something about his creepy tiger god probably). But as always, I had Lazarus who I really liked so it worked out well.
I loved the Pirate hideout in the trees, nice touch. Also I liked making the wizard take the ship back so Lazarus & I could ride the griffons.
Very nice work! _________________________ The less you know, the more you believe.
I'm having some trouble getting started; the game keeps crashing every time I ask to trade with the General Store keeper in Amn.
Another odd bug: At the very beginning, I run up to the guards & the wierd guy (Nord?), and after the first one or two dialog boxes, Nord simply vanishes, instead of completing the scene. I know he gets beaten by the guards, as the very first time playing, everything triggered correctly. I was only able to get through the dialogs by clicking very quickly through them before Nord vanished once again.

I had the most wonderful time with this entire Saleron's Gambit story, from 1 to 5.
It's amazingly smart because it's so easy going on the technical side that I only felt like playing all along.
Easy going doesn't mean simple as it's probably the most complicated but masterminded module I ever enjoyed.
Many strong choices have been made by the author... for your only fun.
XPs come as they should, no matter how you went through each quest.
Monsters aren't everywhere but only where they're meant to be, but still waiting for you... even with Tony K's AI.
No magical gear. It's all about you, almost naked but with your own experience of " life " and nothing else.
When I start a new module my first concern is always which class I should pick. Most of the authors don't say much about it, which I can understand, but...
I'm glad I chose to play as a wizard...ess here, as it fits the module so fine. And then it gets really magical, even if it is already by itself. Magic and magical gears are different things.
I learned there how important it is to choose any one of your spells very carefully... even the low levels ones. As I had to use all of them in many occasions. Even if resting is not a problem.
It's beautiful. Those cities are the finest I ever visited... in NWN.
So real. A true dive in history.
And that surprising music was always around to give you the mood... if not the creeps.
That comment goes for any of the five parts of the module.
Which one I like the best? I wouldn't have enjoyed the fifth one so much if I hadn't played the ones before... before.
Thanks Mr. Tiberius209, I believe you're in the rocket thingy and from now on, I won't be so scared any more of flying into space 'knowing you're somewhere behind it, in charge of my life.

Same thing about the Lost Shrine of Bordoc.
After reading the walkthrough, but only at the end, to see what I could have missed, I realised I could have meet with my real mother... but I blew the stone with an electrical sphere! ;-)
And next to the Yu-Tan priestess, there was also a quite useful switch... which I exploded as well. _________________________ @ + jml, level 52

Before I forget, a couple of glitches:
- In the Yu-Tan temple, the control panel right behind the priestess, the one to be used to switch off the portal is breakable, especially heavy area spell such as fireball. I looked for it for quite some time... ;-)
- The Cadwgawn weapon choice for fire or cold protection is upside down.
This is before I rate a 10 when finished.

This series is in each and every aspect the most brilliant, entertaining and rewarding experience I have found in the NWN multiverse so far. An absolute must!

Wow! I haven't had this much fun with a fan based (heck! official) campaign in a long time! The bugs were so few and minor that I never took note of them. I've played through all 5 parts (had some difficulty with the 4th and 5th, but, managed through) with a wizard and it was amazing. Reminded me of my days sitting in our living room with paper, pen and dice in hand. Thank you! _________________________ Well...who would have thought THAT would happen?

This is the first time I ever voted something because the series was so great that I _had_ to do so.
Note: I started as a druid and ended with a druid/fighter 8/2, so my comments only apply to this character. And sorry for my English...
Likes (too many that I can't list them all, so I only write down what I _really_ loved - beside Saleron ^^):
- the vision: it was _so_ touching, I nearly cried in the end
Dislikes (too few that I must sound picky to others because I list them here ^^):
- I sometimes felt lost in the "wide landscape" despite of the map kit...
- the secret door on the base of the statue (Midday Temple map) was a little bit difficult to find
I know this is pretty late, but hopefully someone can help me. I'm completely stuck - I have no idea what to do for the Night and Midday stones. I got the Dawn stone from the temple, but the other two have me clueless. I scoured the Night Temple and got the quest saying that it was taken, and the Midday Temple won't let me go through until I find all three. What am I missing and where do I need to go? I've talked to everyone I can think of and no new dialog options have popped up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Continuing on with the series.
This change in pace and landscape was fantastic. The diversity between chapters has been captivating while keeping the integrity of the story line.
I did have a few confusing moments. They all worked out though. Maybe just a tad to much wondering of new areas and a few more map pins would have been nice. All the areas start to look similar and I got lost a lot "I am not very directionally adept" lol
Dialog and story back ground maintain their richness and depth in chapter 4.
I have finished the series and will now vote on part 5 :)
Thank you for all your hard work!

Moving to a lush island after running through couple of big cities was a really nice change of scenery. The plot is still captivating and the quests and npcs well written.
I have absolutely loved the first 3 installments of the Saleron's Gambit series; however, when I tried to load up the 4th part, I am having problems. The opening cut-scene plays out fine, but when it goest to load up the "Creaking Keel" it loads to about 80% on the loading bar, then freezes up. It has done this multiple times, and rebooting does not help. I have a fairly old computer, but have had not trouble running any of the other NWN mods I have played (numbering about 30). I appreciate any thoughts.

Playing as druid, I get Cadwgawn in a form I cannot wield, specifically a mace. Most vexing. Is there any way to fix this thru debug scripting without replaying the entire game?

WOW! Although I wasn't too fond of chapter 3, chapter 4 has delivered all the goodness that chapter 2 (v2.0) had AND THEN SOME. Truly this is the best SG mod to date and I've voted accordingly.
In particular the "Visions" from your character's mother was EXCELLENT and brought a tear to my eye.
Basically I completed the entire mod in one sitting! First time I ever did that, although part of the reason may be I'm unemployed and have nothing else to do at the moment - ha! ;)
Look forward to continuing to chapter 5 right away.

An amazing mod. The best of the series so far, it has everything, good NPC interaction, interesting characters, roleplaying opportunities and balanced combat. There are some moments where I felt my char was alive. The best one is the visions, good job there. I only have one, very minor, complain:
**SPOILER**
My char was a Paladin of Torm. One would expect some specific conversation with the Honor Guard and Norl.
**END SPOILER**
Other than that, it's perfect. Thanks for these series so far, and now let's play chapter 5!

First of all, disregard my last post. I actually meant to vote 9.50 on chapter three, went to the wrong page (sorry).
Anyway. I think someone else said in their review that this module felt like a bit of a "patchwork", and I tend to agree, which is why I've voted down a smidge. Where the previous modules have a sense of cohesion and flow, this one, while still very fun and brilliantly made, didn't quite come together as well. I also got lost a couple times; there are quite a few areas on the island to explore, and if you don't explore the whole map, you're likely to miss an important transition (I spent ages looking for the Freyburg/Temple of the Night areas, and wouldn't have even know they existed if I hadn't checked the walkthrough). All of the areas did look lovely though.
On the other hand, the story has really grabbed me now, and as always, it's well-written with plenty of twists and surprises. I also thought the visions section was brilliant and beautifully done, and that's almost worth the 9.25 right there. :)
Finally, though I liked the dilemma presented at the end, I was a little disappointed that I couldn't resolve things diplomatically. Instead, my character had to just say *does best Cartman impression* "Screw you guys, I'm going home," which didn't really sit well with her.
